Staff quickly helped me, and Staff answered my questions. Regarding ambiance, Cafe Donuts (West Covina) is perhaps one of the BEST. It's the rare donut shop that doesn't look frugal or like a convenience store. Rather, the interior is very shiny and well-decorated. The location is clean, well-ventilated, and comfortable. It's also the rare donut shop that had high-chairs for children. I also liked how napkins and hand sanitizer were plentiful on every table. Overall, Cafe Donuts (West Covina) is a great experience. The prices are slightly more pricey compared to other donut spots, but the quality and integrity easily outshines everything else. Cafe donut Been craving a good donut and found this spot. So let's see if they're pretty good eh or ew. They make everything fresh daily, are family owned and operated, super hardworking and nice. I got their passion fruit green tea, croissant sando, glazed donut holes, buttermilk bar, Oreo, matcha filled, creme brulee, and tiger tail donuts to try. The passion fruit green tea was sweet, bright, fruity, had real passion fruit seeds and pulp inside but also a strong bitter green tea flave so it might not be for everyone. The croissant sando was MASSIVE and I added some smooth fatty avocado it too. The sando was filled with savory tender bacon, a juicy sausage patty, some scrambled eggs, and gooey American cheese, all on a buttery flakey croissant. Every donut was super light, fluffy, pillowy, airy, and nostalgic tasting. The donut holes had a crisp sugary glaze and so did the buttermilk bar which was more like a cake donut but still super delicate and light crumb and tasted a little Coconuty? The Oreo donut was topped with so many crunchy Oreo bits and a super sugary sweet icing. The matcha donut was covered in sugar and had a super earthy grassy fragrant whipped cream filling. The creme brulee donut had a nice crunchy sugar top and was filled with a sweet smooth cream. The tiger tail was coated with like a cinnamon almond streusel and had swirls of more cinnamon and almonds twisted in. They have this really cool deal that after 2pm if you buy a certain amount of donuts you can get some free. My faves were probably the tiger tail and creme brulee but Overall this place is pretty good. Growing up and living in the area, I used to come here regularly, but it's been years since I've been back. If you haven't been here, you'll see it's the building built out of an old Taco Bell frame. The spot is your typical mom and pop run store and the owners have always been welcoming and friendly to all visitors. It's a neighborhood favorite, so the mornings are busy with commuters and regulars who both enjoy this spot. I have always fancied the donuts, and the tasty boba drinks in the past, and so has my family. Coming back, I was happy to see how the business has been renovated and set up to look light a trendier coffee shop. The service itself was the same, wonderful. I went to a donut, smoothie, coffee/tea and sandwich shop when I saw a recent post from them. I saw a photo for blue LA (Dodgers) donuts, but they were sold out when I arrived. Not a problem, there was plenty of other items available. They were offering special occasion donuts for Mother's day. If you want the donuts shaped into words from their Letters design, you may pre-order a custom message for any occasion. A deposit is required 48-hours in advance. The menu board featured a message for graduation and Father's day. Plus sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. I bought a ham and turkey on croissant with lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo and mustard. The lady suggested the oil dressing, I'm glad she did, the sandwich was delicious and filling. I also had a strawberry and banana smoothie with whipped cream, a "regular- size" was more like a large, that's the size I recommend. The Cafe was very clean and organized. There are several tables indoors, I didn't notice outdoor seating. The prices and service was very good, I would definitely return to try the shaved ice. Place an order online to minimize your wait. Taking my kids to school and I forgot to give them breakfast. Conveniently on the corner, I swung in and grab a doughnut for the kids. Someone came out on the counter right away and greeted me and was quick to grab the donuts for me. I wasn't in a hurry so I just paid with tap and go and rushed out the door. Very convenient. The regular ham croissant sandwich has pickles, tomato, onions, jalapeños, lettuce, cheese and ham. Stacked high and lots of flavor. A great kick of spice. I've been coming to this donut shop for at least 15 years--pretty much since I was in middle school, and I'm 31 now. This place has always been my go-to spot, especially for their mango smoothie. For years it was consistently thick, flavorful, and even had chunks of mango in it. They would top it with whipped cream without charging extra, and it always tasted amazing. But within the last year or so, the quality has really gone downhill. The smoothies just aren't the same anymore. They've been inconsistent every time I order--sometimes watery, sometimes lacking flavor--and this last visit was probably the worst I've ever had. My mango smoothie was super watery with almost no flavor, and now they even charge extra for whipped cream. The only positive I can still mention is that the boba is still really good. I really hope they go back to the quality they had before, because this used to be one of my favorite places. read more

This place used to be good. When asking for a dozen donuts and the response is "how would you like it" it gets confusing when not understanding the context. Asking for a dozen usually indicates a standard array of donuts to choose from. But no, there are tiers because donuts that would be normal choices for a dozen elsewhere have an up charge here. So after a couple of rounds of deciphering somebody's poor grasp of the english language, I frustratingly begin to order. Having corrected the aged server numerous times, she STILL managed to screw up my order. Streamline your menu so additional clarification of what goes into a regular dozen. Arrange them in a manner according to price. Shouldn't have to pay a .50 upcharge for buttermilk bars or old fashioned. Get you shit together! I live around the corner from you but will gladly drive elsewhere to get donuts from people who don't dish out attitude because you think "how would you like it" in regards to ordering a dozen donuts is perfectly straightforward response to "I'd like a dozen donuts". read more

ASK FOR RECEIPT - ALWAYS So I go here EVERY SINGLE TIME I'm in the area. Today was no different. And I always get only one thing. Thai Tea (Supersize , No Boba). So I already know the total which is exactly $8.00. When I went today, I ordered same thing, but older lady that was working there, punched in smoothie (Supersize) instead of Thai tea. Total came out to be $9.75. I know she punched in smoothie because the screen shows on the customer side. When I asked if the price went up, she said she accidentally added Boba instead of no Boba. (Cmon now, I could see what I was being charged for) Now here's the reason I know it was an intentional charge up. 1. She clearly punched in the wrong item. 2. I own a business as well and have the same POS System, so i know it shows up their screen as well. 3. I have dealt with this kind of transactions in mom and pop stores MANY times, so I already know this wasn't a mistake. -- I wasn't gonna write this review below I'm gonna write because I thought it would affect the business, but after that.. here it is. Some things are expensive AF. For example, that water bottle you get case of 36 for 4 bucks plus Tax at super market, they sell the single bottle for 2.50 or 3.00. Been a while so I dot remember the exact price but it's definitely 2.50 or more for a fact. 15 Cents bottle for 2.50 is craaaazy. Their bagels are pretty good size, but when I get cream cheese and Bagel, I hardly taste cream cheese. It's around 4-5 bucks btw. Plus for cream cheese. read more

The Bavarian creme is light, fluffy, and not overpowering sugary like others I've had. It tastes exactly like real Bavarian creme. Overall this donut was amazing Fruity Pebbles donut- light and fluffy donut with an amazing frosting that compliments the fruity pebbles so you really feel like you are eating fruity pebbles. Best fruity pebbles donut I've had. Raspberry jelly donut- oh you want this donut. The raspberry filling is amazing. I am a sucker for jelly donuts and this place makes them pretty awesome. Old fashioned- oh yes you definitely want this one. It's a cake but the perfect texture. This tasty little piece of heaven is definitely worth trying. It hides a secret. What do you get when you mix a bear claw and Apple fritter together? Pure heavenly joy. That's right this bear claws secret is Apple filling in the middle. This is my to-go place for donuts and coffee. The staff is very friendly and well. The donuts are very tasty, but lately they have had a bit too much oil. Hopefully, this review is seen by them and adjustments are made. I love the coffee, although it is now close to $4.00 for a large size (16 oz). I was told that it's because the coffee they use is Gaviña. It tends to be of better quality. Trying to save some money, I went and purchased some Gaviña coffee and I made it at home, but I just can't get it to taste the way they make it. So, I'll continue to get my coffee there. read more
