CASH ONLY!!! But so incredibly DELICIOUS!! Super fresh and soft donuts. It's a fun experience to drive through the literal donut hole. Prices range from $1.50 for a basic donut to $4 for a gourmet. 10/10 customer service and donuts! Would def recommend

This is the COOLEST Donut Shop in Southern California! Located in La Puente, Ca! Look for the GIANT DONUT stand alone building; and DRIVE THRU. You can't miss it, lol! A donut-shaped building to order and pick up your treats from your car. Nicest owner, good selection of donuts, DELICIOUS, and inexpensive! Brought the kids here and they were happy! Cash Only. Cash Only. Cash Only. $25 for a mix dozen. The best phat pills (donuts) in the area!

tl;dr apart from the quirky architecture, everything else about these expensive, lackluster donuts is a total dud Even among Southern California's saturated donut scene, The Donut Hole stands out from the crowd -- literally, as two towering fiberglass facades dwarf any nearby structures. A simple yet striking example of Programmatic architecture, the Donut Hole's La Puente location is the only one to incorporate the donut motif and, unsurprisingly, the last remaining location dating back to the 1960s. The two enormous brown donuts flank a wood-and-stucco shack, with a drive-through that looks more like a car wash than a fast food establishment. Pass by racks of mostly traditional donut varieties as you creep toward the ordering window at the far end of the drive-through. The adjacent road verges are decorated with well-manicured grass and flower patches. As with countless other Angelenos, I could barely wait to drive through larger-than-life donuts to purchase one of my favorite treats. However, my first visit was middling at best. The cash-only purchase felt cold and transactional, and the eyebrow-raising premiums appeared to reflect the unique experience rather than the only-serviceable donuts. The tea plate-sized apple fritter was undercooked with a flavor most akin to grocery store apple pie, while the soggy, mostly tasteless tiger tail felt flat. The croissant donut was heavily glazed but too dense, yet it was the only variety I thought warranted a second chance. My first visit was on a weekend afternoon, so I returned on a weekday morning in hopes of finding the freshest possible donut -- and the quality was, frankly, worse. My croissant donut was rock-hard and lifeless, while the chocolate bar was filled only a third of the way down the donut. I faced a minimal queue during both visits, which probably attests to The Donut Hole's diminishing quality. I was disappointed to find that, nowadays, The Donut Hole relies more on legacy than commitment to its craft, and it's unlikely that I will ever find myself back.

Yummy, quality of the donut is delicious. Service was quick, ordered on the left side of the end window. Got the donut filled with raspberry and a simple glazed donut. Delicious donut, nice and soft.

Whenever we are in town we always stop bye for Donut from the Donut Hole. We love the Double Chocolate Chip Bar. It's the best especially when they just come out they are nice and warm and soft. Make sure that you have cash. All the Donuts there are so yummy. We will always keep on going.

Very cute exterior and entryway. I really appreciate the drive-thru. They only accept cash but the donuts are amazing and all made fresh that morning.

Very good donut place! I came here to try their glazed donut, it was really good! There's a small parking but you can also drive through and order. I opted to walk through and order. I also go donut holes $3 for a dozen and they were great as well! A must if you're in the area!

The Donut Hole was established in 1968. According to LA Conservancy, The Donut Hole is "a wood-and-stucco one-story commercial building split into two halves with a driveway in the middle, bracketed at each end by an enormous fiberglass donut. The driveway allows customers to drive right through the center to place and pick up their orders." This location was the 2nd of five Donut Hole locations and the only one that utilized donuts as part of the architecture. This is the only Donut Hole location still in operation today. The Donut Hole attracts people from all over the world to marvel at this place of beauty. Where else in the world, can you drive through two large donuts to buy donuts?! If you have children, I highly recommend you taking a mini adventure to experience this place in person. The donuts are pretty good as well. They are very affordable compared to other donut shops in the area. What we ordered: -Apple Fritter -Rainbow Donut -Raised Glazed -Cinnamon Crumb -Donut Holes It came out to less than $15 for 4 donuts and a bunch of Donut Holes. There's lot's of value in getting donuts from this shop as the donuts are very affordable. Come here snap some photos and brag to your friends that your drove through two large donuts.

Fun neighborhood donut shop that is in the shape of a large donut. I think the only way to buy donuts from this place is by drive through...and through the giant donut hole. It's not just a novel way to get food - they have a good selection of different donuts as well. It should be noted that I think it's cash only. The service and operation is very similar to a fast food drive through. I came here because I heard of this place through a coworker and just wanted to drive through and get some donuts. I got a maple bar and a chocolate chip bar. I thought they were good! I think freshness depends on the time of day you go, but I will say that I went after lunch and the donuts I had seemed to be fresh. Again, I think the only way to order is through the drive through. There is minimal parking, but it's usually not necessary unless you plan to park and eat your donuts there I guess.

This place is exactly as advertised. It's a drive through a donut hole. I'm telling you, as a grown adult, I had a lot of fun driving through this and ordering my sweets. Service was fast as expected. There is no sit down area, so you get the donuts to go and be off on your way. This place is a treasure. Had plenty of laughs with the family.

Really cool donut spot. They have a pretty cool selection of donuts and other food items they sell. They do take cash only luckily they are literally right next to a bank. The service was good and it was a pretty cool experience. You drive thru a donut to order donuts really cool concept. It was also clean on the inside and surrounding area. 5/5

Got the glazed donut fluffy and yummy. Classic donut no complaints. Ordering was quick and easy. You can see the donuts through the window. There's a couple of spaces for parking so you can park and eat your donut. Driving through the donut is so much fun. There was several reviews saying donuts weren't fresh but mine was, I got it on a Monday at 10 am. I highly recommend it if you're into history, quirky roadside attraction, and donuts.

We took some video driving through the donut...the experience is part of it!

Do you sell a Boston Cream donut?

Yes they do, large donut, standard cream, thick chocolate frosting top.

Can I go there if I don't ha e a car to buy a donut?

Yes they have a walk up window. As we drove through, we waited as someone at the window was being served.

Are their any gluten free options?

Not that anything was labeled, maybe if u ask ahead or call to know for sure. I didn't see any

Are there any vegan donuts? :)

Not that it stated in the Anywhere drive thru or in the 🍩

Do they fry the donuts in a vegan based oil or do they add lard?

So you MUST drive up in a car? Someone walking can't buy from here?

    There's a walk up window

Do Vans fit through the donut hole drive thru?

I'd recommend that you park & walk in to get your donut fix. Dunno what your insurance deductible is, but it could turn into an expensive donut run if you get your van stuck in the hole.

    Do they have vegan options?

    from what I remember, no

After they hand you the taped donut box and you've driven off & you finally open the box, has anyone else been short 1 donut?

No, I'm a phat ass, I count mine before I drive off ?????
