(Important: This donut business is one of the rare few that has no added fee for card payments. However, it's cash only for lottery payments.) I arrived at Master Fresh Donuts (Hacienda Heights) on Wednesday (around 3:13PM). Parking is uncomfortable because the parking lot is small and narrow. However, there's a nearby neighborhood parking. Staff is very friendly, welcoming, and charming. Staff spoke cheerfully, and Staff enthusiastically answered all my questions. Staff is very attentive and upbeat. As mentioned, I ordered the Chocolate Donut with Sprinkles ($1.95). Not only is it very fresh, this donut is notably bigger than other donuts. I had to stretch my jaw a little to get a clean bite. The donut is also fluffy with a clean chocolate taste. YUM! [[HIGHLIGHT]]On ambiance, Master Fresh Donuts (Hacienda Heights) goes above and beyond. The location is so clean that everything sparkled. Also, the location felt chill from strong air conditioning. For donut shop standards, this is surprisingly one of the best. I'm a donut snob and prefer cake donuts like buttermilk, old fashion and apple fritters and Master Fresh Donuts has a very moist cake dough that has a nice spring to the texture. Besides donuts, they also have smoothies and sandwiches which look good but I have no problem eating donuts for lunch (LOL). It's a bit tricky to get into the small parking lot and ideally, you're driving south bound on Hacienda Blvd so the small street into the parking lot is on your right side. They also make seasonal donuts for holidays or the Doyers so if you need special holiday donuts, come by and support local businesses! read more

Found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try early on a Tuesday morning at 5 AM. This is located in a very small strip mall with about four other places of business. Small parking lot so I can see not being able to park late in the day. I was able to find parking quickly. Came here early morning for a quick breakfast and lotto ticket. There are a good selection of donuts, sandwiches and drinks. Also can buy lotto tickets as well. I chose a twist that was half glazed and chocolate. It was soft so you can tell it's freshly made. Also bought a lotto ticket and chatted with the lady I assume is one of the owners. She's very nice and had a big smile in the early morning. Come early there are a few spaces in the small lot, but there is street parking nearby. My wife introduced me to this place because I guess they WIN with lottery tickets here all the time. Mom and Pop shops has a special place in my heart. Especially if they carry any confectionery that has whip cream in it! To me it is a form of comfort food at times of stress. Okay that doesn't sound so good when I use food as form of coping! That can be a bad thing if it's habitual...er...so for the record I do not condone any form of eating disorder! I was feeling stressed out today over work and the whole CA compliance in practicing social distancing and trying to get customers to follow the rules...well, I definitely needed something to get me out of the stress. Well this place always bakes awesome Cream Puffs! These bite sized pieces of heaven can really take the edge off of the stress with that awesome whip cream center that fills your mouth in a good way! And to top it off they also made Whip Cream filled Maple Bars that I haven't tried yet. The super sugary Maple was a touch too sweet but I love the whip cream in it. Perhaps next time I should get the Chocolate version of it because it works better with the cream... Your usual, original glazed, maple bar, chocolate sprinkles, etc. I ended up getting a half dozen ($4.99) and added 3 creme puffs for $1. One bite of these donuts and I was hooked! I bought a sugar twist, a glazed and an Apple Fritter from "Master Fresh Donuts". The twist and glazed were ok but the Apple Fritter was as hard as a rock. Even warming that rock in a microwave for 30 seconds didn't make it edible. Someone posted that they don't like Christie's Donuts but I have bought Apple Fritters there and they are always good and tender.
