We went here on a Thursday night to watch the NBA Finals and grab dinner and cocktails. We arrived at 6p and were seated promptly. Our server quickly arrived to get our orders. We started with two items from the social hour menu (corn ribs and fried shrimp). Both were good with the corn ribs being better than the fried shrimp. The fried shrimp was very greasy. I ordered two frozen margs (one strawberry mango and one just strawberry), both tasty! Our entrees were the green chile beef burrito and the wings, both were good and a nice portion size. We also ordered the Cole slaw and fries as a side. The Cole slaw was just ok, but the fries were good. We ended our meal with the big ol brownie, it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but it was yummy and very filling. The vibe was fun and tons of sports fans around. read more

The chicken fried chicken was delicious and service was attentive. Friendly and courteous employees

I met up with my peeps for a quick drink and some lunch. We had a great time while there. Its a great place to have a drink at the bar and/or sit down at a table to have a meal. I had a delicious mojito cocktail that was refreshing; I would definitely order that drink again. We also tried the Strawberry Basil Lemonade cocktail that is as well but between the two I choose Cover 3 mojito because its not as sweet; its light & tasty. For food, I had the po' boy lunch special and it comes with parmesan fries. Everything was delicious and the time there was great especially with a server like John. Its like we got to watch shorts skits at our table. The price range is and the bill was a bit over $100. They have good meal portions, everything was delicious and the service was excellent. read more

Nice seating with variety of seating. TVs everywhere! I have experienced what may be one of the best burgers I've ever had. The Chop House burger medium with everything including cheddar with Parmesan fries. And OMG I ordered slaw as a side and it was delicious...the perfect compliment to the burger. Along with the draft Karbach Cerveza, I was in culinary heaven. Bravo, Cover 3! read more

I've been here a handful of times to catch games and found it's a solid fallback option if we don't want to try somewhere new or go out of the highland area. There's plenty of comfortable seating, and they do a mostly reasonable job of spacing people inside and out. The drink prices and selection could both be better, but there's enough variety that I haven't gotten bored in my visits and nothing is egregiously overpriced. Food wise you look at the menu and get the impression it's very standard American fare, and you wouldn't be totally wrong, but I've been pretty impressed with some items. In particular the sliders and chicken were both considerably bigger and more flavorful than I expected. But I'm most cases I've found the food to be just okay. Overall I'd say its a good place to have in your sports bar rotation if you're in central/north Austin, but nothing to write home about read more

Excellent place for a casual Sunday meeting with friends or an even dinner with your spouse. For appetizers my favorite is the Mongolian pork lettuce wraps.a little bit on the sweet side with a excellent mustard sauce and a little bit of exotic spice. All of the burgers are good but one of my favorites is the French onion burger grilled medium. The burger is so tasty you definitely do not need ketchup. The fries are a little bit small and greasy but they do have parmesan and salt sprinkled on them with parsley ground sprinkled throughout. The filet mignon is also an excellent choice for a main entree and the salads are loved by many of my friends. Several beers on tap including Miller lite and the service is always up to par. read more

Stopped in Saturday afternoon; haven't been here in a few years! Same great Chicken fried chicken with yummy mashed potatoes, green beans...side order if "the best" Macaroni and Cheese! Didn't leave a bite! Delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant. Never fails me on a great meal, drinks are the best...Enjoyed our server, they were all busy with "curbside" but we weren't in a hurry. Very relaxing....so we ordered a dessert to share! Too big for me to eat! "The Brownie"... huge! With ice cream. See photo! I was stuffed for the rest of the day! Skipped dinner read more

After losing the cover3 near downtown, it's been a awhile since I've visited a Cover 3... safe to say... they still have the best buffalo chicken tenders I've ever tasted. Do not get wings... you have to get the tenders drenched in that amazing tangy sauce. Don't forget to dip it in that sweet fresh ranch. I didn't get the jerk chicken wings but they are probably still fabulous. Sauce: 5/5 Freshness: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 -sports vibe Service: 5/5 Price: 3/5 (They used to do $3 off the wings during hh) I would say it's pricer at face value but once you taste it you'll understand these are made from scratch with love. read more

Love the brunch with the Bubbles and Bloody Mary Bar. Avocado toast and Migas were our favorites. Great service too!

I have loved this restaurant since they opened in 2008! Our most recent trip was a few weeks ago when we were in town from Dallas. It was great- Jack was behind the bar and made us some yummy martinis! The service was stellar. I ordered the Rueben and it is such generous plateful of food! I took half of the sandwich home and had it for lunch the next day. My partner ordered the chicken wings and she loved them! The cheesecake for dessert was outstanding as well. Very creamy. The atmosphere was great- tvs on all walls showing the college games we wanted to see. But it's really more of an upscale sports bar- more ambiance than a plain sports bar. If you live in Austin and haven't been to a Cover 3, I highly recommend it. If you're visiting town, it's the perfect place to go for food, drinks and football! You'll be glad you went! read more

Best Chicken Fried Chicken for real! I didn't expect to find that here but I'm glad I tried something other than my usual.

Great food and fantastic service from Tiara! Salads are amazing-highly recommend. Will definitely be back!!

Everything that I expected from this place did not play out as planned. I dined in for my birthday and the waiter was extraordinarily young and awkward. When he asked for my ID I thought he would at least see the birthday but that obviously wasn't the case. Almost all of our drinks and apps and main dishes came out by a manager. It was a very awkward dining experience -- my friend was never able to mention my birthday comfortably and so it just fell flat as a dining experience. The food gives this place a 4/5 because the fried NY Strip was incredible and the lettuce Mongolian wraps were amazing. read more

Crickets crawling around the floor while I was trying to eat. Waitress didn't care. Never coming back to this place until they fix this.

I had the most amazing time at cover 3! The food and the drinks were great, really fast service and my bartender Trace was super knowledgeable and kind! Made a great spicy margarita!! Definitely recommend going :p read more

We went there Thurs. 8/22/24 at 3:00pm. We went there specifically for prime rib. We didn't know we had to wait until 4pm until we could place the order. I got mixed up about the times for prime rib during the week vs. the weekend. When we took the first bite, we couldn't believe that that meat was being passed off as prime rib. We asked for medium for me and medium rare for my friend...not even close. We did like the horseradish sauce and the side of mashed potatoes. read more

Everyone here is so nice, welcoming, and amazing. I come here after a bad day at work, and everyone always brings a warm smile to me. Dorothy, Jack, Edward, Heather are incredible. They make my day. The food is phenomenal, I got the delicious fries, burger, and brownie. This place is incredible. I only come back because of the superior customer service, and the management led by John, Dave, Leah. read more

This place is huge. i have been in this shopping center before but I had never been to this bar. It was raining when I git here and turns out they had a pretty nice outdoor area but since I was cold I opted to stay inside. They have an upstairs which looks like it would be pretty cool to hang out in but ai think they closed it since there is plenty of room down here. The food prices match the decor but it's not outrageous so that's cool read more

Tiara our server was excellent! Great service! Food and drinks were delicious! We highly recommend this place!

I hadn't been here in years. Joined a coworker for drinks and was pleasantly surprised. There was plenty of space and places to park. The Mahi Mahi tacos were a hit. I like the option of being able to go from a frozen margarita to a margarita on the rocks. Try the black cherry. It was an experience :) Shout out to Riley for taking care of us. read more

After a long hour of axe throwing at high 5, me and my friends walked over to Cover 3 in hopes of getting a good meal. I will say that not only did we receive tasty burgers, an awesome spicy crispy chicken sandwich, but the service was amazing. John, the manager, made sure to come to our table to ensure our experience was nothing less than satisfactory. He and the waiter knew the menu very well, and was able to give good recommendations. I just wish I had room for that key lime pie! No doubt I will back! read more

Came in this week to have lunch with an old friend. We were both blown away by the food also our server Tiarra was so good to us , was on top of keeping our drinking filled and making sure we were comfortable they definitely looking to have such great wait staff. Thank you so much Cover 3 ! And thank you Tiarra!!! We will definitely be back read more

Service was good. Room was very dark, even at noon. Ordered my burger medium rare. When I asked the server if the kitchen didn't cook meat medium rare, some restaurants don't, and she replied that they are able to cook meat medium rare. Her excuse for it being overcooked was that maybe it sat under the heat lamps too long and it cooked it more. Not real happy but brought 3/4 of burger home. read more

Service was friendly as always, I've been coming here for about two years as a regular spot. Unfortunately food has come out without the care I am used to when I first started coming here. Quality of the food has gotten poorer over the last 6 months. Food is not fresh and below average. Cheese on the truffle burger was sour - and the cheesecake ordered by my friend was most likely expired. Unfortunately this place has been trending down on food. Beer, vibe, and service is always great here, but the food has ran me off for now. Will give another chance, but not any time soon. read more

Ordered Cover 3 salad and Chicken Fried NY Strip. Salad was ok but small for 8 bucks. Chicken Fried NY Strip was not a NY Strip. It was beef cutlet and breading fell off at the first touch with a fork. I sent it back and ordered chicken and shrimp pasta. It was not great but it was real chicken and shrimp. Waitress was fine. Service was fine. Food is horrible. No one seemed at all concerned that what they serve is not what is on the menu. I won't be back. read more

The food was okay, I had the shrimp and chicken pasta. My partner had the allandale salad, one friend had a burger, another had a sandwich. All the food came out at different times, my pasta coming out first about ten minutes earlier than everyone else's food. I honestly wouldn't even mention this if not for the real problem I had. The drinks were good, especially the Lime and the Coconut. We have a 9 month old, there is no changing station or table. I had to change my babies diaper on his changing pad on the floor. The bathroom was disgusting, smelled foul, and had a very dirty floor that I had to kneel on to change my baby. This is the smallest accommodation you could make for parents. Don't want kids there at all? Notify me at the door so I don't have a soiled baby with no place to change them. Not every single place has to be baby friendly, I enjoy childless environments at times, but I'd like to be told so so that I can choose a place that welcomes families. It was so disgusting that I had to kneel on the bathroom floor and try to keep my baby on his small mat so he wasn't crawling on the bathroom floor in the middle of our meal. read more

First visit. Sunday around noon. Hostess seemed to care less Waiter took our drink order and returned with the diet coke. I opted for a Michelada and maybe arrived 10 minutes later then was possibly the worst I've ever had. Barely more than a beer. Service had us asking if we had come at a bad time. Looked like a couple large tables. Partner had a salad - said it was good. I ordered the Verde chicken breakfast enchiladas and they were very good. Will give another try in hopes we chose a bad day. read more

OK, so I think I just found my new favorite restaurant near me. Someone at my wife's company had ordered food from here for some VIP visitors coming in, and they had a lot left over, so she brought home a couple of things: A Caesar salad and some chicken enchiladas. The Caesar dressing was the best I've EVER had, and the salad was topped with long (like 4 or 5 inches) strips of shaved parmesan...outstanding salad. The chicken enchiladas and the rice they came with were also phenomenal. So we decided we'd probably ought to go check them out in person, which we did for lunch today...Another memorable experience highlighted by the Allandale salad and a burger, which I later found out was #12 in Texas Monthly's 2009 top burgers in the state. We had planned on sharing, and they split it for us without our asking for it. It was a beautiful day and we sat outside on the patio and enjoyed every moment. Great, efficient, friendly service. The indoor space looked very inviting, but it was a little too cool in there for us. We decided we'd return on a Sunday to watch some football on one of their many, many TV screens. Only negative was the $7/draft beer, That was a little surprising considering how reasonably priced everything else was on the menu. Overall though - well deserved FIVE STARS and we'll be back soon. read more

I had a gift card in my desk for a while and knew I was going to be in the area so I took it with me. I park and walk in seeing a busy lunch crowd and originally going to get takeout. But once I sat at the bar and seeing others enjoying beers and food I decided to stay here to eat. I got a local beer on tap and studied the menu. They had a lunch menu of which I ordered cheese enchiladas. The place is very nice and upper scale. The bartender is helpful and made me feel very welcomed. Either the chef or owner was at the bar chatting with regulars and everyone seemed happy feeling this place is doing well. My food arrived and looked and smelled great. It tasted very good with no complaints. I used my gift card to pay and thought it only had a few bucks, but it was loaded. Plenty left to return for another great lunch. read more

Walked in at around 7:30 pm on a Wednesday and there was no wait for a party of 2. There are lots of different seating selections - from half booths to full booths to high top tables to upstairs seating and outdoor picnic style seating. Wherever you sit, you are bound to have at least 1 TV in sight. Lots of people were also sitting at the bar as well. This place is great for groups. I ordered the Brick Chicken Mac n' Cheese and it was great! I would definitely have that again if I were to come back. A great spot for a casual meal or happy hour. They have a lot of seating and usually no wait. I was sat at a comfortable booth right away. For happy hour, all shareables and sliders are $3 off. I ordered the brick chicken sliders with onion rings (you can sub sides for free!). The chicken was a tad dry, but the yummy Sicilian sauce added moisture. The buns were great. Loved the onion rings: crispy but not too greasy. My waiter was attentive and friendly throughout. I'll definitely stop by again for some classic American eats! read more

The food is good enough to eat there!! I sat down and no one came up to say hi or acknowledge I'm a human, so after 3 minutes I got up to take a piss. The restrooms needed a quick wipe down. Then I left!!!! I hat the new crappy service idea people have especially in to cool Austin. read more

Cover 3, what happened? You used to be a shining example of great operation- I literally watched wait staff organizing sugar bowls after a diner left. Always consistent food and drinks and great service. Now it's disgustingly dirty, not as good drinks (looks like bar flies/regulars is the norm now days), and the food wasn't the same standard it used to be. I can't get over how filthy the facility was considering it started as such a beautiful space. Also- there are no baby changing tables anywhere- not even in the ladies restroom. read more
