Wholesome and hearty cafe! Been eyeing this place for some time and happy to have finally stopped by and grab breakfast at this local cafe/diner. It's a cozy and small location but you feel welcomed and apart of the community as soon as you seat. Recommend beating the rush hours for any meal as they're generally packed but worth waiting. Prices are competitive and the food makes you feel like you're back at home enjoying a heart meal. I opted to take on the Hungry Man breakfast and boy was it's worth its weight in gold. After a few times at Courthouse Cafe, I could easily recommend this place to anyone. I enjoy that they have breakfast options- which are solid, and dinner options, plenty of them. Finally dinning at this local restaurant. We had a great experience going for first time at dinner time. Service was attentive and server was helpful with suggestions; kitchen ran out of an ingredient,server informed we could not get the "honey boo-boo" pizza, we ordered a different option and it was great. Pretty good prices; the feel of the restyled was very homey and local, kind of old looking, but that what made the dining experience enjoyable, and already looking forward to go back. read more

Great food. Have been eating there every week for a few months now. We try something new each time and have never been disappointed.

We've been regulars for the last 2 years and they are solid every weekend. Depending on what time you come in the morning you may need to wait a few minutes for a table. Great menu options, waitresses are awesome, food is hot, fresh and plentiful. Get the Patti's Piggies Omelet where they have ruthless disregard for portion control and you'll get entire sausage patties in it. read more

Looking at other reviews, Maybe not Perfect, But as close as I've seen in the industry! That Said, I LOVE this place. Best sausage gravy on the planet with an excellent team of servers and cooks. Friendly welcoming faces abound with locals packing the place to bustin' most every morning and servers smiling warmly offering drink refills. My wife and I were in the neighborhood around lunchtime and decided to give Courthouse Cafe a try. We were so happy we stopped! We were still in the mood for breakfast, and boy was it on the menu . I had the veggie omelette with toast and coffee; my wife had a cheese omelette with toast and coffee. We also split a side order of home fries. Everything was fresh, hot, and served with a smile. My wife and I wanted to stay local so we went up the street to this small cafe. It's right on Brock Rd next to the historical jail. There's plenty of outside parking, interior has comfortable seatings filled with memorable photos. They served breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff members including our server Karen were very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. My wife ordered the Synette's sausage gravy biscuit; I ordered the 1) French toast deluxe 2) Side sausage gravy biscuit 3) Side cinnamon apples. The sausage gravy biscuit was on point. The gravy was not too thick which had the right consistency and very tasty. The French toast deluxe was served with four pieces of brioche, a choice of eggs and a choice of protein. It was very delicious. The cinnamon apples were amazing and melts in your mouth. This place used to be great. Then they decided they needed an upgrade, and now it sucks. The salads used to be great, fresh, and bountiful. Now they're skimpy, old, and smelly. The grilled chicken was boiled and then quickly thrown on the grill to humor or fool an unsuspecting customer ordering grilled chicken. The place is tiny. So, no one needing space should go here. Came in from Charleston SC to spend Thanksgiving with family and went to this establishment for the first time yesterday for dinner. I was amazed at how clean and organized the little place was. The waitress, Melissa recommended the special "Lasagna with garlic bread and a salad". I was sold! Everyone ordered and we were served so fast and the food was absolutely amazing and delicious!! Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. Only thing that confused me was the different salad. Chicken was incredible and obviously cooked fresh, but my salad and my companion's salad were almost the same but we ordered different things. First time at Courthouse Café in Spotsy today! Wow! I cannot say enough good things about this place. I only wish it were closer to my house; it was a bit out of our way, but not impossibly difficult to get to. We came in about quarter after 1pm (they close at 3pm on Tuesday's). Place is very small; your average American diner décor inside and out. This makes me love it even more. Being that I was born and raised in Ohio, I really felt like I was 'home' with this place. It's quaint and cozy, and gives that small town feel. No sign to 'wait to be seated' when entering; someone greeted us, but we went ahead and just picked a booth. The older woman took our drink orders (both my husband and I had an unsweetened iced tea with Splenda). Another waitress came for our order. I mentioned that it was our first time here, and we'd need a couple of minutes to look over the menu, and she let out a big, "Well welcome!" They were all out of the specials for the day. But they run a daily special where you can get any burger or sandwich with fries and a drink for $9.95 or 2 massive slices of pizza with 2 toppings, and a drink for the same price. Normally, my husband and I would split an entrée, but we weren't sure when we'd make it back over here, so he got a bacon burger with fries and I ordered 2 slices of pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. We still split everything. The burger was fantastic! We ordered it with lettuce, tomato and onion and ketchup, mustard and mayo on the side. It needed no sauce. It was so juicy and flavorful, it wasn't necessary. The fries were super hot crinkle fries, crispy on the outside, and fluffy inside, and they did not skimp! Man, that burger and fries was good! The 2 slices of pizza were the equivalent to a half of a large pizza! I wasn't expecting anything like that. The crust was thin; crispy on the bottom and chewy on the end (perfect), but the flavor of the sauce was kind of bland, and the pepperoni wasn't spicy enough. But truly, wasn't 'bad' pizza. I'd just say that pizza probably isn't their specialty, but I'm very picky about my pizza. They were so big, I still had to bring most of my slice of pizza home for dinner. Our service was fantastic! Our waitress was super friendly, and I wish I would have got her name...but shout out to her for making our first time to Courthouse Café a great visit! This is a diner. If you go expecting fancy cuisine, this isn't the place for you. But if you're like me, and you like an old fashioned, old school eatery, you'll enjoy! read more

I was instantly in love with this place as soon as I walked through the door. The other reviews were right that this place gives you a small town feel where everyone knows everyone. Everything is homemade and delicious. I highly recommend the sausage patties! Their French toast tastes like how I would make it homemade at home and that's what I love about it. Normally when I order French toast it can taste very commercialized and bland, but theirs has a nice cinnamon and vanilla taste! Their home fries are sautéed potatoes with onions and the biscuits are homemade, light and fluffy. Have I mentioned that everything is homemade?? Came in after a work out for a quick breakfast. Walking in, it is quite small and fills up quick full of people. It's a seat yourself kind of establishment and the waitress was quick to come over and get my order. Wait staff were all extremely friendly and my breakfast came out so quickly. On Saturday: In and sit down was in was served immediately within 10 minutes. The food was brought in in maybe 20 minutes and the breakfast was enough and it was well cooked and it was delicious. My husband and I love the Courthouse Cafe. However, lately the service has been terrible. We went earlier in the week and were basically ignored by our waitress. She waited on the table next to us and across from ours. Another waitress brought us drinks and when she realized we hadn't given anyone our order, she ended up taking it. But the worst was Saturday night. There were people at 2 tables not including us. My husband asked for unsweetened tea. The waitress took our drink order and came back with my drink to say they had to brew more tea. That was fine but when our order started coming out, still no tea. The waitress said the tea was still brewing and would he like some water. This was 15 minutes after our initial order. So there were 3 waitresses working but they were all standing around behind the counter. We've been coming here for 3 years now and I think we will only come when the long time waitresses are there, like Synette. These new girls could take some lessons in customer service from her. read more
