I had the Godfather which consisted of eggs, Italian sausage, lightly sautéed arugula and cheesy grits. Money!! The chili sauce also came with the breakfast and it was perfect match of heat and smoke. I also wanted to start my day off with one of their juice concoction so I tried morning meditation excellent choice. The restaurant is very clean, friendly and inviting. The full pot of really good coffee fresh on every table was a nice touch of class. I visited as a member of a party of 5 on a Friday. We were seated after a 15 minute wait and greeted by a friendly server who provided us with a drink menu & highlighted their special iced coffee currently on the menu. The biscuits were good- homemade?? Turkey sausage gravy was also good. A little more gravy would go a long way since it was really only on top of the biscuits. A few folks at my table had the seasoned potatoes and had mixed feelings, I liked them, but they were slightly salty. Others felt they were a little oily, others really enjoyed them. It's really up to your taste buds. :) My eggs were great, and the breakfast tacos and breakfast sandwich at my table looked just as good. I enjoyed an iced coffee with my meal, regular, but they have a salted caramel and a mint chocolate option too (yum)! The pomegranate sunrise (tequila sunrise) was sweet and refreshing. The Bloody Mary was okay. I don't really go out for breakfast food very often, so I was pleased with my visit to First Watch. We've been to First Watch many times in other states and cities but this one just opened up in our hometown. I woke up at 8:30 and went to the website and it said it would be a 20 minute wait. I added us on the waitlist and we headed that way. After I checked in, I was still told it would be about 20 minutes. They had a little coffee bar set up in the foyer for patrons to enjoy why they waited for their table. That was a nice touch. After 20 minutes, we still didn't get a text that our table was ready so we decided to go back inside. We were immediately seated. I think they are still working out the kinks of walk ins, check ins, and waitlist. They also were super busy still because it's new and fresh to Fredericksburg but it was surprising to see that they did have a lot of tables that were in need of bussing. It took a bit longer than I expected for us to get our food, but again still super busy and I think they are still working out a few kinks. The food was delicious as always, I just wish they had some of the summer option the other locations do. They were missing from their menu. We ordered the Morning Meditation, Cinnamon Toast Cereal Milk, Chickichanga, Chile Chorizo, and a side of Biscuits and Gravy. The juice wasn't as sweet as previous times I've had it; it seemed their juice ratio was a little off. The cinnamon toast cereal milk definitely tastes like alcohol lol. The food was fresh and light, perfect for brunch. The sangria pitcher was so good and definitely worth every penny. I definitely recommend getting there early or making a reservation if possible if you're going on a Sunday morning but the staff overall is friendly. This new first watch was packed when we came for a little Saturday brunch! The wait was around 30 mins which was fine but just know this place is popular for the time being. The restaurant inside is dirty. Tables left unbussed for over an hour(it was exactly the same when we put our name on the waitlist, when we sat to eat, and when we left), dust and spiderwebs everywhere. The food was good, no different than any other first watch to be honest and nothing to write home about. Despite it being a Friday morning, this place was hopping yet service was fantastic. We had a couple of servers come check on us and, what's even more amazing is our food came out super fast. I had the Chile Chorizo Omelette, which came with a salad and toast. They overdid it with the chiles just a bit, but it was fine because I scrapped them off. Came here on a Saturday morning for breakfast. The breakfast was great. We ordered a maple croissant sandwich and the lemon pancakes. The pancakes needed a bit more toppings. We also received fresh jalepeños instead of pickled on the croissant which made it much spicier than expected. The server was great. However, this location needs major work on the check-in process. They did not appear to be sitting people in order which was concerning to me and other costumers who were also waiting. Otherwise, I would come back to eat breakfast again! read more

I really enjoy visiting First Watch restaurants when I travel, so I'm glad that we have two new one nearby, with this being one of them. So, I recently came in for the first time, stopping in right after they opened for breakfast on a Monday. I did have to wait a few mins when I walked in, but the guy working the bar came over and took care of seating me and I opted for the bar. He was great, very friendly, engaging, and helpful. I opted for their breakfast sandwich, which didn't take long to come out. It was really good! Nice and fresh ingredients and flavor was nice too. There have been some not-so-good reviews given, but that wasn't my experience this time. I'll definitely return. read more

We discovered First watch when we were in Orlando and fell in love with the vibe there, when they started putting them in Virginia we were excited, the Ambiance and the Service has always been amazing we have not had any issues with anything my favorite breakfast is the trifecta with over easy eggs and bacon or the avocado toast! First time coming to first watch and ordered food to go because I had a coupon! I tried to do my order online, but it wouldn't let me substitute the pork sausage out for chicken and apple sausage, so I had to call and place my order. When I got there, late af, a nice gent gave me my food and went to take payment because I tried to make my order online it wouldn't let me use my coupon! Whomp whomp! The bald headed, glasses wearing gent said not to worry and was able to override it and use my coupon that thought it had already been used! Such a nice guy! I took bites from each entree in the car, I got two items on the fall menu, the honey Chipotle chicken hash and the maple bacon croissant sandwich with chicken apple sausage. They were both great, but I will say, quite salty were the potatoes. They were probably perfectly seasoned for anyone else, but I have a wild aversion to salt, so that was mildly disappointing. The million dollar bacon on the sandwich was phenomenal, so I bet it was completely unhealthy! Nothing really caught my eye on the healthy menu though, soooo what was a girl to do?! I would def come back, but probably on a weekday because it was so incredibly busy and I hate having to yell to talk to my friends. So seating was shut down for an extensive period of time on a Sunday without any notice or communication to the customers. I had to order the donuts and side order of bacon twice only to have them arrive after the meal was finished. No refills on unsweet iced tea unless it was specifically requested. Waitress came around eventually to check on the meal after main dishes were provided. Good news is food was served hot. This place still needs a lot of work to raise it up to the base level of service for first watch standards. read more

For being a new location this staff works so well together! There may be a few mistakes and things forgotten, but they make sure to quickly address every issue with kindness. The food was great, as it always is at First Watch. We travel a lot and always know we can expect a good meal when we see these restaurants. We were helped by the GM when it came time to pay and it was a really great experience meeting and chatting with him. I asked for a manager... didn't get one. So I went to the kitchen to ask for the kitchen manager. He told me get out of his farking kitchen. I will not give this place a second chance. I have to admit I am not a breakfast person so I predominantly relied on my husband and guests for this review. A fun fact, "First Watch," is the first crew responsible for running a ship during a long voyage. We waited almost forty minutes for a table on a Sunday morning even after calling ahead. When I asked why there were so many empty tables, the greeter said they do not like to overwhelm the kitchen with orders so that guests can be served promptly after their order. This proved to be true. The service was good, but I was disappointed in the food. The regular bacon was undercooked. I asked for it to be taken back to further cook it, but it was returned the same and was not hot. I also was not crazy about the biscuit I ordered. Everyone else at the table thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My husband had the Frittata Rustica which he said was great. I tried his home fries which were excellent. Our guests ordered the Floridian French Toast and Maple Bacon Croissant. They said both dishes were very good and they would certainly return to try other meals on the menu. One of guests was over the moon for the Million Dollar Bacon! The restaurant was very well laid out. It was comfortable, if not somewhat generic. The server was very nice and so were the people who greeted guests at the front of the restaurant. There is free coffee in the foyer for those who are waiting. First let me say I'm a First Watch fan... eaten at several of the rest around the country. This location has just recently opened and they are clearly still finding their rhythm. Today was not good. There's no one stationed at the door for greeting and seating. That took forever and a few conversations to finally get seated. Then I waited for 10 minutes for anyone to come to my table. Took my order and then I waited another 20 minutes before leaving. Two tables came in after me and got their food while I was still waiting. This place does not at all deserve the hype it received when it opened. Turkey sausage gravy is literally Packaged gravy with turkey sausage bits. Tasted absolutely terrible, and a horrible texture. The biscuits are dry and taste like they reuse the biscuits from the day before. Pancakes for Togo have been raw in the middle twice. For the price you'd think they'd ensure freshly made food, or at least that it taste better than it does. Over all the only thing worth trying is the billion dollar bacon and potatoes. read more

After being seated my second wait until the waitress finally appeared.
