    Grilled Catfish Dinner
    Joyce C.

Simple food with amazing flavor! The grilled catfish was light and flavorful and the accompanying onion rings were light and not greasy at all! My final side was the garlic mashed potatoes with gravy (don't judge me!) and they were light, flavorful and the gravy was really good! The lemon cake was the perfect end to a light and flavorful dinner and it did not disappoint! Not sure why it took me so long to stop here but we will be returning!

Went on a Thursday bike night, the first one there that I'm aware of. The wait staff seated me immediately, and asked for my drink order. They have some craft beers on tall, which are amazing. It didn't take very long for me to make my choice- I had to have the meatloaf. The server took my order, and the meal was in front of me faster than I could think about it. The meatloaf was TO DIE FOR. One of the best restaurant meatloaf meals I've ever had. First of all, it had no peppers. I don't like peppers in my meatloaf. The meat was seasoned just right and cooked to perfection. The gravy had a perfect consistency and wasn't over salty. The broccoli was crisp, yet hot and flavorful. For dessert, I had a limoncello cake/pie that was quite tasty without being overpowering. Kudos to Amy's Cafe for having a good combination of great staff, tasty food, and a fun and quirky atmosphere.

Food was delicious. Service was great and the atmosphere was super cool. Ordered one of everything from the appetizers and my gf ordered the Rachael. Robin order the French dip and she loved it. Alloy ordered the meatloaf and he inhaled it. No complaints here!

Stopped in after visiting the area for lacrosse game at MW College. Beautiful building very cool inside. I had the Rachel Sandwich with sweet potato fries. Probably the best sandwich I've ever had. Slaw was delicious and the turkey so good. Also had fried pickles as well. Husband had chili with 1/2 sandwich.

Amy's Cafe for dinner the other night. We started with their fried green tomatoes, which we've ordered numerous times before. Without a doubt, they make the best fried green tomatoes I've ever had! And the other night, they were perfect! My husband knows when I'm enjoying, because I'm so animated with my 'food moans' of pleasure . They're really so delightful! We ordered the Club on wheat (lightly toasted), with cheddar (instead of Swiss), along with fries as our entree (to split), (which is our typical go to). Then we also tried a cup of their cream of crab soup with cornbread, which was the special. I didn't care for the soup, but my husband enjoyed it. I really liked the cornbread though! Great great service as well!

The crab dip appetizer special was to die for! Did not realize this gem was tucked away back where it was, quiet location, but the word's out - plenty of folks when we walked in. We arrived at 6:30pm on a Tuesday, without realizing they closed at 8pm (sorry!) service was super quick, food tasted excellent, nothing to complain about. I had the salmon main with two sides (sweet potato fries and green beans) and it tasted amazing. Our table ate in silence - that good. Would highly recommend; 4.5 stars rounded up.

We stopped by Friday afternoon. We ordered fried green tomato appetizer, it was great with the wasabi sauce. We also ordered the fried catfish dinner and a regular side salad with balsamic vinaigrette. The catfish was ok and the salad was also. The restaurant is clean and bright with the natural light. The service was good and the waitress was friendly. Overall ok lunch.

    Amy's cafe Chesapeake Eggs Benedict

The food was great. I had the Chesapeake Eggs Benedict I was very flavorful tasted more crab instead of breading. The atmosphere was small and homely I did notice a number of children. I can say the prices were well within a set budget The service was great my wife and I have started going to these smaller restaurants do to to many let downs from the chains and it has been great. I would give this restaurant 5 stars all around

This is restaurant is on west Cambridge street in Falmouth VA right beside colonial town of Fredericksburg. Right on the Rappahannock River. The building it is in is a historical building. This is the first time we have been here. We ordered a steak and cheese with fries, steak tacos and Alfredo. The staff is friendly and seated us quickly as well as bringing us drinks and taking our order. The unsweetened ice is fresh and tasty. The hot coffee taste very good as well.

I think this would be a great stop if you're looking for somewhere before dinner or a light bite.

Their cocktail menu is full of fun holiday options, and the small plates menu offers plenty to choose from if you're hungry. I ordered the London Fog Sour, the classic crab dip, and the birria eggrolls. The London Fog Sour might honestly be one of my favorite cocktails I've had downtown--I loved it so much I ordered a second one. I'll be going back just for that drink. The crab dip was its usual reliable, delicious self, and the birria eggrolls were flavorful and packed with meat. Our server was fantastic and helped us decide which small plates to try. Overall, Harry's Sidecar is an excellent choice if you're looking for an intimate spot to enjoy happy hour, whether you're solo or with a group. I absolutely recommend giving it a try!

The brunch menu has a nice assortment of delicious items to choose from. They also have a full brunch cocktail list (Bloody Mary, Mimosa, etc). I was interested in a Bloody Mary, but service seemed to be a little amiss while we were there as the bartender wasn't there and the server wasn't able to tell us about the Bloody Mary (do they make their own mix, description, etc), so we just opted for water with brunch. The brunch items we got were all amazing! Their sausage gravy is made with chorizo, which adds a very nice, smokey touch to the typical biscuits and gravy and it came out with a pair of perfectly poached eggs. Their burger was beautiful and perfectly made and the beef was a very tasty, nice blend. The buns was incredible! Their fried chicken sandwich was excellent as well. Great batter, tender and moist chicken, and the toppings were great too. French fries were piping hot and flavorful too. So, the food was great, but the service was amiss. Would we return? Most definitely! I just mark up these services issues to having freshly opened for the day and maybe being a little short staffed. Hopefully the next visit would hit on all cylinders.

They did a phenomenal job creating such a magical atmosphere--I honestly wish they could keep the decorations up all year . While waiting for our table, we grabbed seats at the bar and ordered cocktails. I had the prickly pear margarita, and she ordered a cider sour. Both were fantastic, though I wish the bar had mentioned the holiday cocktail menu earlier. I didn't learn about the festive drinks until we were seated and our server, Lindsay, walked us through the winter specials. The "Sweater Weather" cocktail sounded amazing (white tequila and coconut milk ) and is definitely something I'll be back to try. We stuck with our go-to appetizer, the goat cheese bruschetta, which was delicious as always. For entrées, we went classic brunch: the hangover burger and the shrimp and grits. My girlfriend loved her burger, and Sedona's shrimp and grits remain one of my absolute favorites--perfectly seasoned and cooked. Even though we were full, we couldn't pass up the seasonal dessert, tiramisu. It was the perfect size--just enough to share without pushing us over the edge. Lol. Another successful meal at Sedona! The service is consistently top-notch, and our server Lindsay was hands down the best--knowledgeable, attentive, and with an amazing personality. We loved her so much, we wished she could've joined us for brunch. The manager also stopped by a couple of times to check on us, which we really appreciated. First, let's start off with the wait. I'm used to waiting for a table at Sedona especially on a Saturday, but today the wait was extra long. Once we sat and ordered appetizers it took over 40 minutes to get our apps. To make matters worse our nachos came out with the cheese not even melted and with barely any protein. Seeing as this was not the first time I ordered nachos I was extremely upset. To address the issue I had to leave my outside table and walk inside to the hostess to see if they could locate my server as she never came and checked on us. We didn't see her for over 50 minutes :-/ The only star of today's lunch were the Thai glazed wings. My husband ordered the land and sea and steak was overcooked. My devils pass pasta was okay, but extremely greasy. The manager did stop by to offer something for the nacho issue which we appreciated. Sedona you need to work on hiring more staff to make things run smoothly. You seem to be understaffed in the kitchen and on the floor. We left feeling extremely disappointed and will not be returning for a long time. Also forgot to add that the strawberry tres leches cake is extremely dense and flavorless. Did not enjoy and do not recommend.

The fries were very good as well, but again, could have used a bit more of the seasoning for which they were named. My lunch companion got the Chinese Chicken Salad, which he like as well, though he commented that it was a little on the dry side and could have used more dressing. (Perhaps the kitchen staff working our lunch had a light hand in general?) My small critiques are just that, though: small. Service: The first impression was a little mixed. The hostess wasn't very welcoming when we asked about a booth for our family of five (two adults and three younger kids) and didn't seem open to exploring the option. Thankfully, our server, DeQuandre (Deq?), completely turned that around. He was friendly, attentive, and offered great recommendations. We appreciated his visits as he was energetic and very hospitable, highly recommend asking for him when you visit. Food: We started with the buffalo dip. It comes with chips, but Deq was awesome and add some pita, which was a great call. The pita was slightly crisped (almost lightly fried) but still soft inside and paired perfectly with the dip, which had great flavor and good chunks of chicken. For burgers, we ordered the Spicy Wrangler (March 2026 Burger of the Month) and the Whiskey Burger. The Wrangler had a lot going on but the flavors worked well together. The Whiskey Burger was delicious, the sauce was a bit sweeter than I usually prefer, but the bacon was excellent. Only critique would be the burgers were slightly underdone even for medium, but still enjoyable. The onion rings were a standout, though the breading-to-onion ratio leaned a little heavy. The fries were decent but nothing particularly great about them. Atmosphere: Casual and open, but fairly loud. Even though it wasn't very busy for a Sunday lunch, the music and bar noise made it a little difficult at times to hear others at our table. I wouldn't consider this a date night type atmosphere, more casual open dining. Drinks: Solid beer selection with enough variety for most tastes, plus a small cocktail menu and a selection of wines. Overall: Harry's Downtown is a solid spot for a casual lunch or dinner. If you're in the mood for a good burger, or consider yourself a bit of a burger enthusiast, it's definitely worth checking out. This visit was positive enough to plan another visit to explore other delicious sounding menu items. We'll definitely be requesting Deq when we return! Thank you!
