We were quickly seated and both asked for coffee and water. The drinks are a little on the pricey side. Getting a glass of juice or milk for $5.99?!? A cup of Lipton tea for 4.99? Yikes. The coffee was decent. We ordered and my husband got the corned beef hash. Before I ever order hash I make sure it's made fresh in house but he's not nearly as picky. I for the waffle with eggs and sausage. Of course, his hash came out and it was canned. They did have a decent selection of jams to choose from for his toast. His eggs were cooked properly. My eggs were also perfectly cooked and the sausage was really tasty. The waffle was good but there was no crispness to it. We got a top off on our coffee. It was good but nothing great. Our bill was 35.00 which is fine but I was disappointed that it wasn't a place that was really great. We don't mind paying for quality but canned hash doesn't show quality here. I'm still kind of shocked that they want $5 for a Lipton teabag. I'm not sure how long it'll last without being something that shows you really care about the quality of your food in a small town. I guess we expected more heart to be put into the place because that's how the old place was. Before we left, hubby was trying to get another cup of coffee but everyone just stood behind the counter trying to figure out what he was requesting by pointing to his coffee cup.
