It was not spicy and had great flavor. The toast was thick and tasted great. The service was very good. Although you place your order, they bring the food out to you so I made sure to tip the server. Delicious coffee and lunch in Hartville! Stopped in here yesterday after shopping at Hartville Thrift (they're right next door) and was pretty impressed. The interior is warm and welcoming and they have a good variety of coffee drinks. They have a small breakfast menu (served until 11am) and a small lunch menu after that. You order up at the counter and take a number and they bring the food out to your table. We were there at around 1pm and the friendly person behind the counter allowed me to order avocado toast from the breakfast menu, as long as I didn't get eggs with it. The sourdough was great and the avocado was plentiful. My companion ordered a flatbread pizza and really enjoyed it as well. The standout for me was the grandma's blackberry crumble latte...blackberry, vanilla, and honey with oat milk and sprinkled with cinnamon. It was divine! Thank you, Front Porch Cafe! read more

This was Plan B after seeing the huge line of people waiting for a table at Hartville Kitchen. It turned out to be a great option for a simple, fast lunch in a pleasant setting. The cafe offer flatbreads and sandwiches, and the two options we tried were delicious, and a good sized portion for the price. We didn't try any coffees. The counter service was friendly and prompt and there was plenty of seating. The location is next to the Hartville Thrift Shoppe, a local favorite shop, so very convenient for parking and walking. read more

A farmhouse style cafe with a front porch, a diverse menu, plenty of seating and entertainment. I visited Front Porch Cafe on a Saturday morning and ordered a 12oz latte which I enjoyed in the sun on the front porch. The farmhouse style decoration fits with the surrounding Hartville/Uniontown area. The quality of the decorations and furniture is high quality. The decor is simple, not gaudy. There is a variety of seating from tables, too booths, to leather couches and chairs, and of course the front porch which has a very sizable fireplace in one corner. The music seemed like it was not piped in from Sirius XM because I recognized Josh Garrels being played. I felt relaxed and calm in the cafe. Espresso drinks are prepared on an Astra espresso machine. Beans are sourced from Hemisphere Coffee Roaster. My latte was good. The coffee menu is a typical coffee shop menu (e.g., latte, Americano, cortado) with a seasonal latte drink menu. I was surprised see a V60 and Chemex option on their Hot Brewed coffee menu. Variety of milk options available. The cafe was very clean. There were laminated cards on the tables that said something like, "This table has been sanitized. Please turn over when seated." I really appreciate that! The staff were super friendly, diligent, focused on their work, and attentive. When I'm in the area again I plan to stop by again. read more

It's been years since I've been to the Front Porch and I swear it's gotten even better! Love this little coffee shop/cafe with small town vibes. I stopped in to work for a few hours while I was in town recently. I got an iced latte and a croissant breakfast sandwich. Both were delicious. I also got a mini muffin mid afternoon and the muffin was just as tasty as I'd remembered. It gets packed around lunchtime but there's a decent amount of seating and a handful of outdoor spots as well (the front porch) The staff is wonderful as is the atmosphere. What a great little hole in the wall! I can't tell you how many times I've drove by The Front Porch and never stopped in, what a mistake! The atmosphere is rustic chic, clean, cozy, and overall welcoming! The breakfast food was very tasty and drinks so delicious. We had a iced mocha and I had the chocolate cherry mocha, on special for Valentines Day! The breakfast sandwich was great with a croissant, hand packed sausage patty, cheese, and a fluffy egg. Will definitely add some mayo or miracle whip next time. I'm assuming they offer some toppings as they had some great looking sandwiches and salads for lunch and dinner. They also offer electronic outlets at each booth table for easy work access. If your just passing through, or work from home and need a place to escape, they offer a great location to do so! I love the ambiance of the decor on the inside. It had a very old timey yet modern feel. The food is also fairly priced for what you get. I ordered the Reuben but it was probably 75% less meat than I've ever gotten on a Reuben before. I literally pulled up the top bun to make sure that there is meat on there. That didn't be the case with a Reuben sandwich. $6 for a sandwich, chips and a pickle is very reasonable. But when someone others a Reuben they expect a meat filled sandwich. If I come back I'll try something else. Left disappointed and wanting for more. read more

Customer service is great! They're nice, polite & go out of their way to take care of you. It's so rare to find a café with BOTH great drinks AND tasty food. But this café has nailed it! I suggest their London Fog, regular dark roast coffee & Maple Breve (fall only). Food: Chicken & waffles, it doesn't sit heavy in your stomach! It's so good! (I like all of their breakfast items). Wow! This place has been in Hartville for a few years now and I've never been and I will definitely come back! I did some shopping in the thrift store that is attached then came over for lunch. I got the turkey pesto panini and it was awesome! It just just enough food for me, so sadly I didn't get to try any of the baked goods. Will be back again! Great place for lunch! read more

Stopped in a few Saturdays ago to get a sandwich. First impressions were good, the place is very clean and neat. It wasn't very busy, only one customer was in front of us. I ordered half of a Rueben sandwich, which came with chips and a dill pickle spear. The Rueben was just ok, bland raw sour kraut on corned beef, and there was supposed to be thousand island dressing, but if it was on the sandwich I couldn't taste it. The marble rye bread was nice, but had been toasted, so the top piece was very hard, and the bottom piece was soaked and mushy from the kraut. Not something I'd order again. My husband got the half California Wrap. He said it was fine, and I didn't taste it. He did say there was no type of dressing on the wrap to bring it all together, so it was dry and bland. Add some dressing if you get this. We shared a lemon raspberry muffin, pricey but good. We don't drink foofoo coffee drinks, so we didn't try it. The prices for the various coffee seemed high. Regular coffee was $3 I think for 12 ounces. I suppose we'd go back if we were starving, but we weren't really impressed. It took quite a while for us to get our food, and while watching the ordering and serving process, noticed a lot of confusion by the servers. Several times they went back into the kitchen carrying the tray they'd just carried out, after appearing to not finding the customer it went to. And one server had a bowl of soup on her tray that was splashing all over the place as she walked by us. Don't sit in the back right corner, it it right beside the sub woofer and the bass was very loud and thumpy. Not a nice atmosphere for this small space. We went a second time, and tried to sit outside, but the bees made it impossible. We split a club sandwich, which was ok, not well assembled, lots of mayo blopped on one side, the other side had none. There doesn't seem to be much attention given to how things are made and served. The wait is rather long, so not sure what they are spending their time doing. Expensive bland food. Just ok. read more

Stopped by for a quick lunch with my 5 year old daughter. She got the hotdog meal and a giant cookie. I had a delicious iced coffee and half a club sandwich which was very good. I also had an iced coffee they have a lot of different flavors and coffee drinks but I just got an iced coffee and was happy with it. You order at the con the and then sit outside and they bring you the food. The staff was very pleasant. The menu is rather small not a whole lot of options for food. Appeared to have a lot more drink choices. The inside is cozy and homey. We choose to sit on the little enclosed patio since it was nice out and we enjoyed our lunch. We will return. read more

I LITERALLY went across the street to Marc's groceries and bought a whole loaf of GOOD bread, 5 Haas avocados and a jar of Everything Bagel seasoning for $6.50. And then their coffee was $3.20 for a 16oz!!!! And it was bitter. Sorry Front Porch Café. That's a One rating for you. New management since January 2020 has greatly improved this place from a few mediocre experiences I've had years prior. Admittedly, I haven't bothered with the cafe side things, but I can confirm it's a perfect place to get coffee and get some work done. This was not what I was expecting given the reviews. The place itself is really nice and cared for. They have outdoor seating and the inside is nice and comfy. Service was friendly. So that got you to two stars. The food (breakfast) was not very good. I had an egg and cheese scramble which god me eggs scrabbled very hard, graded cheese on top that was not cooked in or melted, cold potatoes. I was not the only. Several folks at the table just did not eat the food. The pastries were great. So that is where I recommend you stay. read more

Briana took my order and was nice and friendly. Very limited food menu. I tried the breakfast bake which is basically eggs, cheese, onions, bell peppers and ham made in a waffle iron, a biscuit and gravy and a croissant. The bake and biscuits and gravy were good. The croissant was just okay as it wasn't the fresh baked type I was hoping for. Looked like something A fast food place would use to make breakfast sandwiches. Adding basic condiments like ketchup, mustard and hot sauce to the table would be a nice touch. Ketchup packets are fine with a to go order but not at the table in my opinion. I went here for a church meeting and we utilized the back room area, they have coffee, and breakfast pastries, and some sandwhiches, i unfortunately am on a limited diet so i didn't eat anything but the items the people at my table got looked delicious! It was a surprise stop and really good. My friend had the chicken salad spinach wrap and said it was really good. She said it was fresh. I had the ham and cheese on a croissant warmed up and it was delicious. I'm a picky eater and do not normally eat ham - I actually meant to order the turkey - but it was really good also. Looks like a great place, well decorated, and clean. When we went, you order at counter and seat yourself for food to be delivered to table. Wife received her food, but I did not. Waited a while and went back up to the counter. They had forgotten my meal. Waited 15 more minutes at table and finally got meal. Disappointing because looked promising and wasn't very crowded so thought it was a great opportunity to try somewhere we had not been yet. They did offer free pastries and an extra breakfast as restitution which is why 3 stars. read more
