Not all my meals are pictured, but I've visited four times now. Every time, greeted by Dawn, one of the family members who owns the establishment who is the kindest server you'll ever meet! Meals come with a drink and I love how they give a whole cup of 10+ creamers with coffee. I love the laid back diner feel with some western touches for decor. You can't go wrong with anything you order! They're also very flexible in swapping out sides or altering orders (like adding another chocolate chip pancake). My husband and I just moved to the area this week and we stopped in for breakfast yesterday late morning. I was immediately taken by the friendly banter of the regulars there sitting at the counter. It made me feel like I was back in the small town where I grew up, which is why we moved here! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food is just as you'd expect from a diner; well-proportioned and warm! I enjoyed my pancakes very much and my husband enjoyed his special which was FULL of food! We will certainly be back! Next time I think I'll ask for milk instead of water for my hot chocolate but that's on me...it was great all around! read more

This is a hidden gem of a cafe. The ambiance of a time gone by. The service here is outstanding. They make you feel at home; to the point they call you by name once established. The food....my goodness the food. I've never been disappointed. The. Country fried steak platter and the burgers are my favorite. On top they have specials every day. The prices are incredible in this day and age. Stop going to fast food places and go here. On a side note. While I was there. I checked out and forgot to grab my credit card. I decided to try this local spot in Norton recently and I found it to be very friendly and cozy inside. The decor is vintage cowboy with charming mismatched placemats, china, and silverware. It's a little bigger inside than it looks from the outside, with tables in the front and back plus seating at the bar. The breakfast foods were freshly cooked and delicious and a very good value. Service was friendly and attentive, and some of the other patrons were friendly too. Definitely recommend. read more

Do not make the mistake of thinking this is some dive. Family owned for 9 yrs, owner is also the cook/chef. Price points are real and fair. We know this is rare. My son and I go every week or two. I get biscuits and gravy and he get pancakes with bacon and toast. It's not a lot of money and the same lady that's there every time takes great care of when we need her for anything. I love shopping at a locally owned business like this. This is a great local hole in the wall. I stopped out here while traveling and decided to give it a shot despite few reviews or photos. The folks here are super welcoming the moment you walk in the door, local or out of towner. I think about every table and chair set on this place is all different, which is nice. It's not like a cookie cutter cafe. This visit I tried the French toast listed as Texas toast on the menu. The bread is not what I would fully consider "Texas toast" but it definitely had more girth than standard bread. The bread itself was a cinnamon swirl bread that was a little dense which worked well with it being French toast and all. Overall really good flavor, nice and rich but over powering. The bread was fluffy but firm. With the French toast we also received maple butter. It was ok but I couldn't super tell if it did anything with the syrup I put on. Not bad though, just different. The bacon is thicker with a hickory flavor. The cook on the bacon was "just enough" to be done, so not super crispy. Good flavor, not greasy at all, I just prefer a thinner strip. The hash browns were a bit greasy, I wasn't a super big fan. They definitely needed some helper. Alone there wasn't a ton of flavor, not even a potato flavor...just a bit bland for my liking. The hubs had the same so no extra commentary for him on this visit. I'd likely go back for a second visit and do recommend. read more

It's a little rough around the edges, but really good food and great service. Reasonable prices, too. Hubby had a club sandwich with lots of bacon. The grilled chicken sandwich I had was terrific, better than I've had in much pricier establishments, very generous with perfectly seasoned chicken. Homemade chips with ranch for dunking. Yum!! The place was very dirty ( floors loaded with dirt, has not been swept, yellow wall has food stains all over, ) The pictures of food they offer is NOT REAL! None of it is offered anymore (if it was ever offered in the first place). The waitress was okay (somewhat friendly but not attentive). I should have turned back around and walked out when only 2 customers where there at 9:00am. I will not go back. read more

This is a great local spot! Breakfasts are delicious and the coffee always hot! Lunch is amazing - try the burgers and the grilled Gouda cheese sandwich- yummy! I think I am hungry just thinking about JJ Cafe. read more

This place didn't meet expectations. I got the Black and Blue burger with fries, the wife got the Toppling Turkey sandwich with fries. When the sandwiches arrived appearances were somewhat disappointing. The insides were amply blocked from view by the standard grocery store sized buns, so no visual gasp if you will. My sandwich came with par-cooked bacon atop bringing the diner a sense of chewing the fat while, well, chewing the fat. Flavor was ok, but fell well short of an OMG. The wife is not a huge fan of smoked anything, but ordered her sandwich knowing that smoked turkey was one of the three turkey sandwich meats it included. Of course, a third of the way in, she set it aside unable to continue. It was at least partly due to her smoke-phobia, but I did notice a pool of a mustard sauce at least a good 3.5" across that had just dripped off of the sandwich on one side, so it mighta been a bit aggressively dressed. The fries were homemade and freshly cut, but the timing of the sandwich completion and the completion of the fries was off, so while tasty, cold to tepid in temperature. Not bad food, just not quite good either. read more

This is a great little spot for a nice breakfast! We regularly stop in and I can honestly say I have never gotten any bad food! The Vegan Scramble and Breakfast Burrito are my favorites. If you are in Norton and need some breakfast (or lunch) this is the place! read more

This small diner is wonderful!!! Such great and friendly people, we come for breakfast almost every Saturday morning, and try to never miss a Saturday morning breakfast there! We are going for lunch after church on Sunday due to the food and the help!!! It is so nice we enjoy everyone. I have to admit we steered clear for awhile due to a previous restaurant that was there, but now, you are a weekly priority, make our weekend start with smile, friends and full bellies!!!
