Popped in on a roadtrip and wow excellent choice food was on point server was really attentive and food came out fast worth the stop

I travel for work and never been to a Cotton Patch Café before. Did a search by my hotel and read reviews and looked at the menu so I decided to give it a try. Service is minimal as I was being seated the waitress came right over and wanted to know if I wanted to order an appetizer (haven't looked at the menu.) I ordered an ice tea. the waitress wasn't very proactive through out dinner. i ordered Fried Green Tomatoes as an appetizer they were seasoned very well and hot. i ordered Chicken Fried Steak with Jalapeños gravy which was seasoned very well and tasty for my two sides i had the Caesar salad and sweet potato. the salad needed help the dressing was runny and some of the letter was wilted the sweet potato with the marshmallow topping was excellent was never asked if i wanted dessert The atmosphere of this place is very casual, country music play but the TV were playing sone odd videos of "Super Human" i thought the food was excellent except the salad. if the waitress had checked up on me between courses she would have beeb notified. i would come back read more

Food and service was great. The restaurant was cold inside. When my party walked in there were folks bundled up with their winter jackets on and beanies on their heads while they dined. I asked about them turning up the heat because it was so cold and was told that the heat was turned all the way up...however, it wasn't turned on at all. read more

Service and food is hit or miss. On good days their chicken fried streak, fried green tomatoes, and turkey and dressing is heavenly. On other days it's like somebody took leftovers and partially nuked it in a microwave. It's been about two years since I've chanced going there again. read more

It's been over a year since we were here last but service has gone down. My wife got the tex mex salad and it did not come with the corn or fresh avocado and only a very small amount of chicken. She was very disappointed. I got the chipotle maple chicken, it was ok, I would not get it again. The fried okra was really good, loved that, the garlic mashed potatoes had very little flavor. I remember getting a basket of fresh rolls with butter last time. This time only 2 rolls. I would of paid a few dollars for a basket of them, they were really good. Receptionist, when you walk in seemed like a diss-interested young girl who didn't pay much attention or cared to be there. Waitress seemed nice but did not know much about the menu. Maybe another time will be different, or maybe a different cook. I would give another chance. But only one more. read more

No complaints here! Solid Meal, Well Cooked, Fast from Order to Table and Served Hot Started with a House-made Sangria and some Shrooms. Sangria is one of the best I've had. Kudos! Shrooms were hot but a little on the under-cooked side but awesome flavor and worth the try. Had the Chicken Fried Brisket and was surprised by the smoke flavor of the meat. Crunchy on the outside, Tender and well cooked on the inside. Sides were Southern Green Beans and garlic mashed. Fittin Meal to say the least. Overall, the staff were on their game so it was a hit! The ambiance upon our arrival was warming and welcoming, the service was outstanding, the food was delicious, it was our first time ever coming to cotton patch, I'm glad I did try because I wouldn't have known how good it really was and the staff are so kind and made our experience perfect and comfy. our servers our first day was karyme, she was great and second visit was celest P, she was funny and had a good attitude then came back third time with karyme wouldn't have had it any different I'm sure all servers are great but these two stood out. read more

To whom it may concern I have eaten at Cotton patch long before it came to Hobbs N.MI love their cheese sticks and their fried Green tomatoes. My husband and I ate there recently the floors were dirty dirt caked up around the edges the walls needed washed that great big old fan needed to be cleaned and the bathrooms I'm not going to go there it just was really bad. My concern if the lobby where we eat is not clean what does the kitchen look like the food is great and the service is great the people are nice but the place needs to be cleaned thank you read more

Poor service second time in a row. Waitress took my order then went MIA for 15 minutes because she was laughing and joking with the other servers at the front. And apparently they don't give you rolls now because "too many people were wasting them." Which sounds like an BS. Asked for a medium rare steak and they gave me a well done one. When I spoke to the "manager" about my experience he literally rolled his eyes at me. It wasn't even the real manager because he was going back and forth to his office. I would Like to say that it has been a long time since we have eaten at the Cotton Patch in Hobbs,NM. The last time we went the service was NOT GOOD. Our order was messed up and they tried their best to fix it but it just left a BAD TASTE in Mouths. The Restraunt is very clean,warm and Inviting when you first arrive. We were greated cordially and seated right away with our Menues. The resteraunt was not busy at all. There were 4 tables of guests in the whole place. After being seated, Our waitress never came to our table to take our drink order. We could see here plainly chatting and laughing with the kitchen help and just having a good old time. We waited for over 10 minutes with our waitress never once leaving the kitchen area or coming to our table. After 2 really bad experiences, this will be our last attempt to try and eat at the Cotton Patch in Hobbs. Dont waste your time going here unless you like Terrible Customer Service. read more

Amazing food & service. My pork chops were perfectly grilled and Amber is an amazing server. She is a great example of a server that gives service with a smile and hustles the entire time she's on the floor. Your choice of music was great too! I will be back and encourage others to visit this establishment too! Great for family & causal dining-two thumbs up! PS: I went back tonight because my experience last night was just so good. But tonight's experience was night and day from last nights. First off my server was short with me and didn't hustle like Amber did the night before. One of my pet peeves is leaving dirty plates on the table, when I'm finished eating. I dropped their rating down to 3-Stars considering tonight's meal. My grilled fish was a little dried out in places, and the waitress cheated me out of a veggie. When I inquired about it she got really snippy about it! A month ago I went in and after an hour of waiting at a table without ever even receiving drinks, we left. Today we decided to try again. We were the first party in behind a group with a company. We waited an hour for our food. While watching tables that came in after us with the same party sizes finish their meals and leave. When it did come after asking we were told it just came out. Our food arrived. My potatoes were so cold I think they were fully room temp. As was my soup. It's so disappointing because I love CPC in other places. read more

Waited for an hour or more just to get a table. When we got to the table it took 20 minutes just to get our drinks. Took about 30 minutes to get our appetizers and the complimentary bread. Overheard an elderly man sitting alone at a table next to us tell a different waitress that he had been waiting on his waitress to come back because he wanted dessert. She told him that his waitress left and that she would get his ticket for him. That is just pathetic and sad. We ordered the trio dip and when our waitress brought it out she said they were out of guacamole so she took it upon herself to substitute the guacamole with queso. We still haven't got our salads. Never even got the queso. One of our rolls looks like the picked it up with their hand and their finger poked a hole in it. This place is a joke. I had not been back here for awhile due to a bad experience with the food; overly salty. It was a pleasant surprise to be able to enjoy my dinner without having to worry about dehydration. The flavor and quality of our meal was great. The service and staff were friendly and accommodating. It was also nice to dine in an establishment where one doesn't have to yell to carry on a normal conversation due to high music levels. Well, work this time has me in Hobbs, New Mexico. As I often do while out on the road, I try to visit Mom and Pop or non chain restaurants. The head coach picked this location, so he did the work for me. This is a nice place with a laid-back atmosphere. I would compare it to a Chili's. We went with two college soccer teams. Maybe they were just overwhelmed by our large group of approximately 80 , but we waited over an hour for our food. The other side of the restaurant was pretty much empty other than two tables with six people. If this was a Friday night with a full restaurant, I would hope they would have more staff on duty. The food was decent, and the wait staff was okay. We did notice a lot of the staff not working our section just standing around and chatting. If I were the manager, I would have had everyone chip in to feed this large group and possibly even rolled up my sleeves and helped in the kitchen to get the food out. But the manager as well was just standing around and chatting. I guess he's done his time in the kitchen, and the work to help your entire staff is beneath him. Bad reflection of a TEAM leader. I wouldn't mind coming back here if I'm in the area, but I would recommend better direction and leadership from the management. read more

This was so bad it was comical! We arrived for dinner at 8:30, we were seated and that was the last time a server came to our table. They were all seated next to us eating dinner together (the food looked good). It's gets better from here, a homeless woman pushing a grocery cart filled with all of her wordly possessions manages to push her cart through the double doors and into the restaurant. She then proceeds to drive through the restaurant past the staff, who was still enjoying their dinner, to the restrooms. Server was pleasant but kitchen was very slow to get food out. Fried pickles were very good, great flavor and perfectly battered. Ribeye ordered medium rare was over cooked to the point that about 1/4 of it was charred black and very well done. Seasonings/salt was overbearing. Manager came by to see how our meal was and did offer to make a new steak, but we had been there an hour and a half already and just couldn't wait another hour. Catfish was ok, but hot sauce had a funny taste and smell that we didn't notice until after it was on the catfish. Broccoli was bright green in color but very mushy. Terrible customer service. Placed an online order, went to the pick up counter at the time specified. No greeting at the door and stood there for 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. "Oh you're here for pick up?" A server asked me as she counted her tips. Instead of helping me she picked up her money and walked off. Two other servers were in the back stuffing their faces. I made eye contact with at least four servers hoping for some type of service. Nope. I finally managed to get and pay for my order after another 10 minutes, I noticed there wasn't any silverware in the bag. When i asked for some the server said "we don't have any". TO GO and no silverware? WTF? I said to her "ok ill just take this real silverware because i don't have any" she looked at me annoyed then when to the back and produced a big box of plastic ware. She was willing to let me leave with no silverware rather than inconvenience her face stuffing activities by looking. They don't even deserve one star! First, the restaurant was empty and it took ages for someone to even acknowledge us when we came in. After we were sat down, I was told I couldn't have a high chair for my child because the only one they had was in use. What restaurant only has ONE high chair?! When ordering, every item we wanted was unavailable because they didn't have the ingredients to make it. We weren't given a kids menu and they never brought me one when I asked for it TWICE.
