I didn't count them, but it was more than I could handle in one setting. They really loaded my takeout box! It also came with an egg roll, fork, napkins, and condiments. So appreciated. My daughters' great grandmother on their dad's side used to make me egg foo young. This outfit makes it too! Might have to try theirs for nostalgia as I never make it at home. Awesome service. Order. While my chicken fried steak was just a little bit overcooked and hard to slice into with the provided plastic knife, it was still Southern-style delicious with the cream gravy, mashed potatoes, a fresh roll, green beans with real bacon bits, and a huge brownie on the side with a bottled water ($15). The owner was such a friendly, generous person. She was outside her food truck - not trailer - during this lunchtime event talking to folks waiting in line. Her employees/helpers were very amicable too. I've always heard great things about this food truck, but never had the opportunity to visit it. So glad I did. MaMa E's was established in 2018. Their motto is "where you can taste love in the grub." That's for sure! Their setup was for a large group in downtown Hobbs, so many tickets were pre-sold, but their food truck was nice and clean inside and out - I snooped! Lol. So let me tell you how I'm judging this Dollar General which seems to be basically in the middle of a rural area. Lol. It is certainly outside the city limits. Just down the street on the same side of the road if you're headed south is another discount store called Family Dollar. Dollar General is quite a bit better than Family Dollar in my humble opionion. Aside from the fact that I was asked to help an elderly lady to walk her through the self-checkout because there were no employees at the registers, I had a nice experience on 5/25/2023. The prices are fairly similar to Walmart's. Examples: Full Throttle energy drink $2.40 10-pack Capri-Suns $3.25 3-pack donut-shaped rawhides $3.80 The store is very organized. Inside was also very clean. The staff members were welcoming and friendly. The dumpster area was much cleaner and tidier than the Family Dollar place. One last thing: they were completely out of ice cream! Ice cream!!! I was taken aback. I really hope they rectify that situation soon because my girls and I love that stuff. I wouldn't go here in place of my usual grocery shopping trips. It's not bad when I need a few last minute items, though. Cash or cards accepted. Ample parking was available.

And Jeeped on down the highway to the Stripes near the New Mexico Junior College. Enter Laredo Taco Company. It's inside Stripes to the left. The lobby was not clean. The salsa bar was depleted. The cook was complaining left and right. It had been past the Door Dash's estimated pickup time when the friendly yet apologetic employee claimed they hadn't even started my single carnitas taco ($6.38) order due to not hearing the order come in. I'm always dumbfounded when I hear a litany of excuses anywhere I go. Just please rectify the situation without any unnecessary commentary. I waited about 5 more minutes then it was ready along with another apology. As you can see by my photo, my taco was packed full of thick fatty chunks of carnitas and not a single item more. My visit to the salsa bar was deflated when I scrounged up every bit of the flavorful red salsa I could. The spicier green was okay from what I could tell, but there was hardly any left. I inveigh against your desire for lunch at LTC at this particular location. Perhaps breakfast is better. I'm not about to find out.
