LOCATION/AMBIANCE This Ma Brown's is on the south side of the tracks on Grimes Street. This is a very old-fashioned restaurant. No thrills or frills. A bit rundown, but they use gloves & spray/wipe down the tables well. THE GRUB On their day off (parent teacher conferences on 2/2/2023), my two daughters wanted some burgers for lunch. I wasn't given a receipt, so I'm not exactly sure how everything was charged, but our total take out came to $28. The green chile cheeseburger was great. I desired more green chile, but nothing new there being New Mexican. Lol. Their patties are flavored nicely. Not too greasy. Everything is made to order. You build your burger or the way you want. Their crinkle fries are really good actually - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I opted for onion rings, which were OK. LITTLE YELPER'S CLUBThey offer a kids burger meal. I usually don't tend to eat at Wendy's because I've never had a decent experience when I have, but so glad I stopped in at this one. It's always busy and especially for the lunch rush. The dining area is pretty big and they do have plenty of seating. The food is always consistent and so is the customer service. The ladies usually working have always been friendly and fast with getting out the orders. I have had both burgers and chicken sandwiches and they have both tasted fresh. Even the fries have been good. Do avoid the lunch hour though if your in a rush because it does get really busy both inside and in the drive thru. Definitely a great location!

I ordered a burger with a side of Frito Pie and a drink. They serve Pepsi products here. The food came out hot and fresh. The burger was wonderful. The Frito Pie was presented nicely. On 7/14/2023 it was odd that the cashier told me I had to park in their private lot to wait for my order. The mashed potatoes and gravy are still really good. That mac n cheese, though, is so bland and mushy. The biscuits could be better -- they weren't quite like I remembered them either. Slowest McDonald's in Hobbs…read more This was the first of the golden arches chain to exist in this dusty New Mexico town. Now that it is the year 2024, there are two more - one on the Lovington Highway near Walmart and the newest brick and mortar on the south side of town at Marland Boulevard and Dal Paso St. Seems like a clean location from the drive-thru. My friends with little ones still enjoy the indoor playground. Just really slow customer service plus they still managed to get my kids' orders wrong on May 30, 2024.
