Never seen a McAlister's operated this poorly. Drive thru folks ignore cars, inside is game over. They are pretty proud of their "no white bread" signs on every register read more

I loved the friendly staff that greeted us at the counter! I ordered the Savannah Chopped Salad. It was very fresh and tasty with the Gorgonzola cheese, almonds, cranberries and roasted chicken! read more

They hardly ever have items in stock (especially the nacho basket). Service is always pretty good but it's hard to experience the service when there's no food to order. read more

Finally, I tried McAlister's Deli while I binged watched Netflix's Mindhunter at my little brother's house on Halloween 2020. I was so into the show and so damn lazy that I ordered via DoorDash. The famous sweet tea ($3.31) was a must for me. So good if you need some sweetness in your life... For my lunch, I ordered the "Choose 2"... a cup of broccoli & cheddar soup and a half garden fresh turkey sandwich with a pickle ($10.81). It seemed healthy. Everything was fresh. The soup was hot and came with a couple packs of saltine crackers which I totally left on the counter. Lol. My Dasher was super friendly and took care of my order on her way to my brother's doorstep. The ice in my tea hadn't melted much. Awesomeness. I'd definitely recommend as long as they keep the food fresh! read more

A Disastrous Visit to McAlister's Deli in Hobbs, New Mexico 1. My recent visit to McAlister's Deli in Hobbs, NM was nothing short of a disaster. As someone who typically enjoys McAlister's for its fresh food and friendly atmosphere, I was genuinely shocked at how poorly my experience unfolded from beginning to end. 2. The trouble began the moment I walked in. There was no host at the front, and no staff member greeted me. I stood there awkwardly for several minutes before someone finally glanced up and mumbled, "We'll be right with you." There was no sincerity or acknowledgment--just a careless dismissal. 3. When I finally got to the counter to order, the employee looked annoyed, like I was inconveniencing them. They didn't offer a greeting or ask how I was doing. Their tone was flat, borderline rude, and they acted like they couldn't wait for me to leave. 4. I placed a simple order--a McAlister's Club with a side of mac and cheese, plus a sweet tea. I also asked for no tomato on the sandwich. Despite how straightforward that was, the order was completely botched. 5. While waiting for my food, I noticed how filthy the dining area was. Several tables were covered in crumbs, spilled drinks, and leftover trays. No one was cleaning. It looked like no one had wiped a table in hours, which is pretty disturbing for a restaurant that's supposed to be casual but clean. 6. After waiting 25 minutes--an unusually long time for a deli-style restaurant--I finally got my food. Or at least I thought I did. The sandwich had tomato, the wrong bread, and was missing ingredients. The side was mashed potatoes instead of mac and cheese. Even the drink order was wrong--unsweet tea. 7. I took the tray back to the counter and politely pointed out the issues. Instead of apologizing or offering to fix it right away, the employee gave me attitude. They sighed loudly, rolled their eyes, and told me I must have ordered it that way. I absolutely did not. 8. A manager eventually came over, but instead of de-escalating the situation, they were equally dismissive. They said they were "short-staffed" and that "mistakes happen." While I understand staffing issues, that doesn't excuse poor service or a dismissive tone. 9. I asked for the food to be remade properly, and while they did eventually bring me a corrected order, it took another 15 minutes. At that point, my appetite was almost gone, and the food was still mediocre at best--definitely not worth the wait or the stress. 10. The sandwich was soggy and barely warm. The meat tasted off, and the bread was stale. The mac and cheese was watery and bland, which made me wonder how long it had been sitting out. 11. The worst part is that no one ever apologized. Not once. No "Sorry for the wait," no "We'll take care of that," not even a basic, "Thanks for your patience." Just a general sense of annoyance and apathy from every single staff member. 12. While I was eating, I saw other customers also having issues. One table got their food brought out to the wrong people. Another group left after complaining about how long they had been waiting. Clearly, I wasn't the only one experiencing poor service that day. 13. The drink station was also a mess. Lids and straws were scattered everywhere, napkins were soaked with spilled soda, and the trash bin was overflowing. It looked like it hadn't been touched in hours. 14. Restrooms weren't any better. The floor was wet, toilet paper was out, and the soap dispenser was broken. It was unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone a chain that promotes itself as a quality, family-friendly spot. 15. By the time I left, I was more frustrated than full. A visit that should have taken 30 minutes turned into nearly an hour and a half of irritation, disappointment, and regret. 16. I don't expect five-star service from a casual dining place, but I do expect basic courtesy, cleanliness, and a correct order. None of that was delivered during this visit, which makes me seriously question the management and training at this location. 17. I understand that restaurants have off days, and that things can go wrong--but it's how a business handles those moments that defines it. McAlister's in Hobbs failed miserably in that regard. 18. I won't be returning to this location anytime soon. There are too many other restaurants in the area where customers are treated with respect and food is served with care. 19. I sincerely hope that McAlister's corporate team sees this and investigates the Hobbs location. Because if my experience is reflective of their daily operations, they're losing loyal customers fast. 20. All I wanted was a good meal and a relaxing lunch. What I got instead was a chaotic, unprofessional, and stressful experience that left a sour taste in every way imaginable. read more

The service is prompt and friendly. Nice quiet place to enjoy some good food. Happy with my choice to come in for lunch today. Will return again soon. read more

Received the wrong order again and got Mac and cheese soup . Staff does not care about quality . Needs better management

Second visit tonight within a week. Our first visit was Sunday around lunch time. We noticed there was only one register open out of the three they have upfront. There were about four families ahead of us. We stood there and definitely had more then enough time to look at the menu. About 15 minutes passed by and only one customer had gotten thru... After which had felt like a whole lifetime, they opened up another register. By this time though, the line was literally by the door. The cashier was super friendly though and made us forget about all the time we had just waited in line. We ordered: half a chicken avocado blt sandwich and a cup of chicken dumpling soup One half black angus club sandwich with a side of jalapeño chips One sweet tea, one desert pear lemonade, one chocolate chip cookie We sat down and not too long after we received our food. My soup was cold. The taste was good but it being cold really threw it off. My chicken blt sandwich was really good. The jalapeño chips were delicious and my husbands black angus sandwich was also really good. My sweet tea was great and so was the lemonade. Tonight I ordered thru the app and the process was super easy. My pick up time was 6:47. I arrived at 6:50 and the line was about 5 parties long and again, only one register opened. Waited 25 minutes for it to finally be my turn. The cashier was very friendly though and my food was already bagged up and sitting there at the front. We ordered: One half spud max and a bowl of potato soup One half Reuben sandwich with a cup of chicken dumpling soup One fountain drink, one lemonade, one chocolate chip cookie Total $27 My potato soup was not hot and I had to reheat it when I got home. My spud although it was loaded with everything, had absolutely no flavor. It was very dry. The Reuben sandwich was good and the chicken dumpling soup was on point flavor wise, but then again it wasn't hot. Was kinda annoyed because I did ask for the soups to be extra hot when I placed my order. Employees are friendly but the wait time in line to order can be a little ridiculous. read more

I came in 20 min before they closed and they made me a delicious sandwich and a wonderful cup of potato soup. The service was outstanding and the manager was great. I took it to go but they would've let me eat in their wonderful restaurant no problem. I don't come this way often but I won't forget how I was treated here. read more

Service was amazing although was looking forward to nachos and they were out of cheese

Sandwich was bad as hell, the bun was so dry, full of lettuce, the quantity of meat was too small, no cheese, nothing to give it a sense juicy, it was supposed to be a croissant but it was a flat and dry bun, the wild berry lemonade was so sweet that you couldn't even drink more than a try, so bad service, too long waiting in line despite there was no people, I'm not coming here again, plus the restrooms were so filthy. read more

Walked in at 3:30 in the afternoon to get a sandwich and stood at the counter for a good 5 minutes Roth no service. Then an employee walked out from behind the counter, didn't say a word and just walked by. Can't be that hard to explain to a customer if you are busy with other tasks, or to get coworker. Would recommend going to firehouse subs down the street where they have customer service read more

The corona virus has hit everyone hard and we were really lookin for our to-go order to be the pick me up we needed but it SUCKED. Asked for extra butter and sour cream... didnt get them. My sandwich was burned and had next to nothing on it. My daughter didnt get her side of broccoli. My husband's mac and cheese was just a clump of dried gunk. Tried to call and nobody would answer. Dont waste your time or money. read more

Great service the woman was nice an recommended a perfect sandwich for me thank you so much

Very poor customer service . Yasmari was rude and need to be trained in the service industry better

food was fine but it was over 30 minutes for a sandwich and a bowl of soup. don't get in a hurry at this location. McAllister's is one of my favorite sandwich restaurants but this location is horrible on service. I give them a new shot about once per year and every year it's the same story. So I don't go back for about a year. I eat out almost every day for lunch all over Hobbs but I drive past this one for service alone. read more

First time I've experienced this with a McAllisters. Just didn't have things in stock 3 different order attempts. Not sure what the deal was but it wasn't just me. Servers on the phone with others augmenting orders. read more

We went in to order "to go", staff was friendly and our food came out quick. I'll definitely be coming back soon

There's nobody in the lobby and our order for 3 people still took 45 minutes. Parking lot was filthy. It doesn't take that long to send a worker outside to clean up a bit. If you're hungry in Hobbs, try something else. Don't settle for this establishment. Sorry not sorry. read more

McAlister's Deli - Too lazy to empty trash can in drive through. - Salad Near Me - Hobbs, New Mexico

This place just opened. Sunday night was packed. Orders took a little long but they had plenty of help. Just a little growing pains. They'll get it running smooth as soon as everyone gets trained. I tried the French Dip. It was only $7.99 and came with a side. Fruit, coleslaw, etc Lots of meat. It was OUTSTANDING. The au jus was perfect. Not salty and watery like most places. I will order this again. read more

Once again we were charged extra "fees" for upgrading items on the menu. For months the menu stated the upgrade for a "premium soup" was $.99 but the resturant in Hobbs charged $1.99 or $2.50. They said that "corporate" had to change the electronic menu board and the cash registers. They couldn't do it there. Why did it take months to change? Yesterday I ordered a small strawberry lemonade and was charged for a large size plus a $.79 "flavor shot" charge. There was nothing on the menu to indicate that strawberry was extra cost or required a flavor shot. The lemonade machines have the two flavors in the bins. We had paid cash. When ask for a refund, I was told it would take between 10 days to 2 weeks to get a refund. read more

Waited 28 minutes for food and looked like they literally threw it together. Then when I went up to ask about my food they acted like I was just being impatient. Place sucks. Stay away read more

If I could give this restaurant Zero stars I would. I waited in line at the drive-through for 30 minutes. It's supposed to be for call ahead orders only. Why in the world would it take 30 minutes? When I got my salad The avocado was brown And the cucumbers were slimy. Then the girl at the window wanted to argue with me that they were fresh. Terrible food and terrible service! Definitely won't be coming back here! read more

King club bread came out much later than the rest of the food because bread was over toasted ... But came out with burnt bread anyway. Ordered two soups, both came out ice box cold. My wife ordered chicken and dumpling soup ... Without a doubt a piece of chicken came out raw. Manager argued unprofessionally with us about it not being raw. Tea was awesome read more

This place can't get any slower. I've been waiting for 40 min. for some soups that are probably in large cauldrons and a spud with bacon, sour cream and butter. I mean come on. I guess they had to kill the pig themselves and cook the soups from scratch with ingredients they've grown them selves. Anyways I get home and one of the soups is wrong kind and no silverware. They weren't even that busy. read more

You would think that I would give this place only 1 to 3 stars because of the wait, but we go as soon as they open,so we don't really have to wait that long.I do have some goods comments to make about this place.First of all,the sandwiches as fantastic!Second of all,The spuds are also really big and filling. This place has some really good food! read more

Slow, terrible, and annoying service. Owner needs to clean house on these terrible employees. Laughing and joking with each other, yelling and making a scene, doing absolutely nothing while I'm on my 28th minute waiting on my food. The black lady is embarrassing making a huge scene and sitting down while talking to random people she knows that are also waiting on their food. She was outside yelling and waving her hands around on the phone last time I was here. I think she might have a mental issue but her behavior is unacceptable. This place sucks, and that's to bad because the food is actually decent read more

Got food poisoning form there potatoes went in a oder are food and it was 30 min for 2 sandwiches won't be eating here again

What a disappointment. Slow service even at 2:00 in the afternoon. Ran out of spuds. Only one cashier. Food was ok.

Probably the slowest service in Hobbs. My co workers and I can't even come here over lunch break anymore because we wait in line for 45 minutes. Even on a Saturday we waited in line for 30 minutes. read more

I never leave reviews. But coming to this McAlister's changed my mind. This place needs serious help. If you want to go and wait for an hour for your food to come out cold then this is your place. The absolute slowest McAlister's I've been to. And I frequent these all over the nation. Can I give zero stars? We arrived 20 minutes after placing a call in order only to have to wait an additional 45 minutes for our food. When we finally got our food it was cold and the cookies could've been used as deadly weapons. read more

ordered the one sandwich that doesn't have bacon and is on a croissant. it's basically chicken cheese tomato and spring mix on a croissant. ordered a salted caramel cookie as well. I don't think it should take long to put together a sandwich but I waited over 30 minutes (in a pretty empty establishment) for a to go order. I didn't bother to check my food because they've gotten this exact same order correct previously. I get back to work and get ready to eat and my whole order is incorrect. the sandwich had bacon and was on wheat bread (or something) and I got an oatmeal cookie. if you ever want me to not return, this is the way to do it. make me wait an inordinate amount of time, do not acknowledge or apologize for my wait, and get my order completely wrong. it almost felt deliberate. but you win mcalisters you didn't want me there and I will not be back. 0 Stars read more
