RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 4.5 | Service: 5 | Ambiance: 5 | Price: 4 PARKING Free plaza lot parking. LOCATION/AMBIANCE This medium-sized brick and mortar pizza place is located at the Navajo East Plaza on Navajo Drive. Inside it was a simple, clean design. The menu on the wall to the right cannot be missed nor can the large wood fire oven. High-top tables for two and a few tables for parties of maybe 6-8 in a group were available. THE GRUB Their pizzas come in two sizes: 8" (4 slices) 12" (8 slices) I opted for the 8" "New Mexican" ($11) which was their green chili chicken. It was so delicious I couldn't stop eating it; however, it was the perfect size for my ever-slowing metabolism. There was a bit of black residue on my fingers from the bottom of the thin crust that made contact with the wood fire oven, but I liked that smoky flavor and didn't mind that minor inconvenience. It wiped off easy with a paper towel. They have a pizza called "Boujee Lady" - LOL. Might have to try that one next time as it is pepperoni with "burrata cheese and finished with hot honey drizzle." Also, they offer an Italian Chopped Salad. It looked amazingly fresh. LITTLE YELPER'S CLUB No kid's menu available. SERVICE Welcoming and quick to take my order on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. I barely had time to go through my to-do list and answer a few emails before my pizza was ready. MY FAVORITE PART... The New Mexican! NOT SO FAVORITE PART... It's not that recognizable from outside. Kind of plain Jane signage. I didn't even know this place existed even though I walked by a week beforehand. TIPS + Closed on Sundays. + They have an upcoming "Slasher Sale" October 14-19, 2024 - "Buy one get one 50% off"... Check their social media for those special hours: Instagram @woodfirepizzanm or https://www.facebook.com/WoodFirePizza + Order online for pickup or delivery at: https://www.woodfirepizzanm.com/ + Mobile pizza trailer also available to cater events!

I ordered the pizza with the truffle drizzle....no flavor of truffle at all...it was just oily on top. My mom had the pepperoni pizza, which ended up being even saltier. Unlike Wesley G.'s December 2022 review, my orders have always been correct. The manager came in to the shop. Stopped at the table where my daughters and I were eating dinner after a long day (9/26/2023). Asked how everything was. Handed me two 10% off entire purchase coupons... very rarely does this sort of thing occur anymore! I love the pick two combo. I usually opt for the avocado & smoked turkey alongside a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. My daughters are fans of their pizza. A kid's meal with pizza, juice, and a cookie is $5.99. We'll definitely be back because no one else offers sourdough 'round here!

Enduring those, a bacon cheeseburger come loaded with onions, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Add ketchup, mayo, or mustard to taste. The bacon was flavorful and plentiful. The burger was real beef. It was a hair overcooked to the point of being dry. I hope this gets better. The cost before tax was $13.99. Went back. The burger was juicy and delicious. I did notice those with to go orders sit at tables until their orders are ready. Meaning, if you are dining in, you may not have a table because of the hoarders staring at their devices.

RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 3.5 | Service: 3.5 | Ambiance: 3.5 | Price: 3 This newly opened (in April 2026) burger restaurant is located in a strip mall across from Del Norte Park in Hobbs, NM. There was ample, free parking plus a drive-thru window on May 30, 2026. They currently accept phone orders. My girls and I went inside because even though they should know what they want they always have annoying questions and take forever looking at menus. Lol. The service was friendly and welcoming, however, they didn't know how to explain "Bonus Sauce", one guy did not sweep the floors properly, and we waited about 20 minutes for our takeout. On to the food... First off, my medium thickness patty could have been juicier. It was a bit dry, but the rest of the ingredients were noticeably fresh. Second, not a huge fan of their cheese. It doesn't melt properly. AI says it is "a combination of American cheese and cheddar." Yuck, yuck, yuck. No wonder I did not like it - I have a disdain for American cheese. Alas, the crinkle fries were actually really good. Supposedly made fresh too. If you like the sauce at Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers, you'll like the Bonus Sauce. The cup that the young lady at the register gave us to sample was used to dip our fries in - very yummy. Pre-tax Prices: - #3 AVOCADO BURGER COMBO W/Fries & Medium Cherry Lime = $13.99 - #3 AVOCADO BURGER COMBO W/Fries = $13.99 - Medium Oreo Milkshake= $5.49 - #1 BURGER COMBO W/Fries (add mustard, mayo, and ketchup, while keeping the bonus sauce... that's my kid LOL) = $11.99 - Small Oreo Milkshake = $4.49 As you can see, there is no price break whatsoever for substituting a shake with the soda in the combos. That's steep for takeout from a fast food restaurant for 3 people. Lastly, the music did not match the vibes inside, but it was nice and cool on a hot day. I don't know what these kids were playing but it was one reason why I didn't want to eat inside.

I had to ask to clarify that I was parking in the right spot and not risk getting my vehicle towed. It appears there is a greater emphasis on takeout than dining in. There are several spots for pick up orders, as well as a separate lane at the drive thru for it. The dining room seems to be an afterthought. Service at Blake's Lotaburger was very friendly and fast. I ordered a burger with a side of Frito Pie and a drink. They serve Pepsi products here. The food came out hot and fresh. The burger was wonderful. The Frito Pie was presented nicely. Not sure about the ambiance inside. The drive-thru menu is easy to read while the speaker works well for ordering. On 7/14/2023 it was odd that the cashier told me I had to park in their private lot to wait for my order. Less than 5 minutes after paying, the cashier brought the 8-piece meal with two large sides & 4 biscuits out ($29.49). I guess it was just in case it took longer... The mashed potatoes and gravy are still really good. That mac n cheese, though, is so bland and mushy. The biscuits could be better -- they weren't quite like I remembered them either. The cashier was very friendly. Maybe the crispy recipe will be a bit more "finger-lickin' good." :)

While the fries were scrumptious and still piping hot by the time I brought my takeout home, the burger was a bit dry and lacked flavor. The cheese was not fully melted. One strip of fried onion ring - not even a whole one - was stacked on top. Lol. It wasn't terrible, but just mediocre. For $25.34, it's a big no from here on out. The waitress/hostess/takeout order lady was extremely nice, but overwhelmed. Spill root beer all down the side my cup, yet, she apologized. I forgive her because she was a hustler, baby!
