Hunt Brothers Pizza is new to me…read more It's a low-cost pizza joint that consumes a small section of convenience stores across 33 states in the U.S. There are - as of June 26, 2026 - two Hunt Bros locations in the city of Hobbs, New Mexico: one at this location inside the Swift Stop #6 convenience shop and a second inside the Hometown Convenience Store #6 on Northwest County Road (with a Valero gas station). My daughters and I recently tried a few slices, and we were shocked at how tasty it was. Not super greasy either! Even though we grabbed our large slices from the grab-and-go section, it was very warm yet didn't have that "sitting out since 10 am" or whatever vibe. If you order online or in person, there is a "no‑extra‑charge topping" template. Their toppings for meats include... Bacon Beef Italian Sausage Pepperoni while veggies entail... Banana Peppers Bell Peppers Black Olives Jalapeño Peppers Mushrooms and Onions. I had a question, but the pizza employees were busy bee-ing in the kitchen. TIP There is an app but it's mainly just to search for Hunt locations. That's a bit redundant to me if I cannot order on an app among other features. Their orange, white and black food trailer is easily recognizable, "Serving SENM & West, TX since 2016." The first time I tried them was at my nephew's birthday party. While the owners were extremely nice and generous & even gave us a quick tour of their snazzy trailer, their pizzas are good. Not great. Yet another case of "I wanted to love it, but..." Lol. My friend who made the orders, was ecstatic about the "Da Vinci" which entails "spinach, artichokes, tomatoes, mozzarella cheese & garlic olive oil." It was alright. I prefered "the 505" which combines "sausage, Hatch green chiles, mozzarella cheese and red sauce." It was more savory and delicious than even the plain cheese, pepperoni, and the slice of "3 Little Pigs" (pepperoni, Canadian bacon, sausage, mozzarella cheese & red sauce) that I tried. These are very thin pizzas. The edges were much too burned for me most of the time. This is very typical of wood-fired pizzas in my opinion. Even the culinary hub of the Greater Los Angeles area where I lived for 10 years. Also, their dough itself was not very flavorful or enjoyable to eat, so I dug into my brother and sister-in-law's kitchen to create my own dipping sauce. Maybe they've created some since I tried them last summer, but I haven't heard about it. Because the owners were so generous and kept the pizzas coming for our hungry crowd - plus I wasn't the one paying the tab and didn't have a say in "more 505s please" - I can't go lower than 4 stars even if they aren't my favorite pizzas. The customer service was very welcoming and efficient when I went to pick it up. The worst part is their location in correlation with the intersections and busy Grimes Street. Plus their parking lot wraps around with silly slanted parking lines... This Domino's unlike the second location on Joe Harvet Blvd has a dining area which seemed nice and clean with only a few patrons. The food was ready and hot well before their estimated timeframe which is greatly appreciated when the kids and their uncle are craving pizza and chicken wings!

Unlike Wesley G.'s December 2022 review, my orders have always been correct. The manager came in to the shop. Stopped at the table where my daughters and I were eating dinner after a long day (9/26/2023). Asked how everything was. Handed me two 10% off entire purchase coupons... very rarely does this sort of thing occur anymore! I love the pick two combo. I usually opt for the avocado & smoked turkey alongside a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. My daughters are fans of their pizza. A kid's meal with pizza, juice, and a cookie is $5.99. We'll definitely be back because no one else offers sourdough 'round here!
