While my chicken fried steak was just a little bit overcooked and hard to slice into with the provided plastic knife, it was still Southern-style delicious with the cream gravy, mashed potatoes, a fresh roll, green beans with real bacon bits, and a huge brownie on the side with a bottled water ($15). The owner was such a friendly, generous person. She was outside her food truck - not trailer - during this lunchtime event talking to folks waiting in line. Her employees/helpers were very amicable too. I've always heard great things about this food truck, but never had the opportunity to visit it. So glad I did. MaMa E's was established in 2018. Their motto is "where you can taste love in the grub." That's for sure! Their setup was for a large group in downtown Hobbs, so many tickets were pre-sold, but their food truck was nice and clean inside and out - I snooped! Lol. Their prices range from $4-$13 per item. Recently Ms. Becky of Salty Frog (a boutique and gift shop) announced on social media that Juice Wrld would be a permanent fixture in front of her shop. Shout out to the amazing Becky! After science camp, I took my oldest daughter. We both tried a bowl ($12 each). She opted for match as her base, granola and chia seeds for toppings, strawberry and kiwi, and honey drizzle. It was good, but the matcha is not really all that sweet. My bowl went like this: coconut base, chia seeds and white chocolate chips, pineapple and raspberries - all drizzled in agave. This was super yummy and much sweeter than hers! Cash is accepted. We ended up buying grilling meat, flour tortillas, some avocados, sweet bread, and drinks. The sweet bread was surprisingly good and tasted like it had just been made. Employees weren't the greatest and didn't interact with us at all, not even the cashier. The one big NO NO here is that the inside is dirty. Flies everywhere and empty boxes thrown onto the floors. Everything was well worn out and the floors were disgusting. This place needs a deep deep cleaning. I felt like I was shopping at a dirty warehouse. Yuck. Parking is hectic and people were driving in it like it was a freeway.. don't think al be back.
