Very good service, nicely decorated. Ordered their pineapple Paloma. I'm not into too sweet of a drink and this was it. Usually these are really refreshing but the pineapple made it really sweet. Order the hot and sour soup. Had great flavor with the little amount of spiciness and sourness but was not very warm. Calamari with the perfect amount of breading, cooked perfectly and not chewy. Great with the marinara dipping sauce. Spicy tuna roll was very good, very fresh with the right amount of kick. Green chili roll. I personally did not try it, I do not like cream cheese in my sushi roll but others at the table loved it. They stated this is the best roll on the menu ......... if you like cream cheese in your rolls. I ordered the panzit with chicken, it was very salty. If it had less salt I think this dish would have been very good. The noodles and chicken cooked perfectly. One of my kiddos asked for chicken strips and fries ($5.99). She stopped eating the chicken after about two bites so I tried it. It was dry and tough to eat. Sunday lunch and this was the spot we wanted to try out. We arrived around 1:30 and to our surprise it wasn't at all busy. We stood at the front and waited for the hostess. When she finally did make her way on over, she asked us where we wanted to sit. We opted for a table in the dining room. She left us with the menus and we noticed there was only one other table occupied. Our server made his way to us, and he was very friendly throughout. The menu has a wide selection of items you can order from. They have soups, salads, sushi, pastas, some main entrees, and a variety of Chinese dishes as well, just to name a few. We ended up ordering a chicken fried rice to share, cup of miso soup, one rainbow roll, a lemonade, and some water. As we sat and waited for our food, our server brought on over some fried wonton strips. They were good, but I just wish they would've maybe accompanied them with some sweet sauce. They were just bland. My miso soup came out right after and to my surprise the broth was lukewarm. Miso soup is supposed to be boiling hot and this was not. It was also very salty.. The chicken fried rice was delicious. We both really enjoyed it and glad that we did order it. Our rainbow roll was ok but it was definitely not freshly made. It was dry. The server was attentive and did check up on us several times. We also asked for chili oil and there was definitely no oil in "chili oil," It was crusty and what looked like dried up old chili.. My main concern is the restroom, around the bottom area of the toilet... that needed some serious cleaning/sanitizing. Couldn't help but wonder what the kitchen area looks like. This was the "tiramisu" ordered this evening. It's some sort of solid as a rock frozen fruit cake with cocoa powder dusted on it for aesthetics I'm guessing. The sushi and pasta dishes are fantastic but our ultimate favorite is the create your own stir fry! You can make it with any protein and veggies that you want! Then you choose your own sauce and rice. It also comes with soup or salad. It's a ton of food for the money and rivals some of the best restaurants we've ever been to in the big cities! Did we mention the complimentary wonton chip starter? It's beyond tasty and completely addicting! You'll be both begging them for more and hoping they take them away to save your waistline! I'll start this review by saying we had the absolute worst experience with our waiter, which is a majority of my review. I have never in my life been shamed for ordering a large amount of food, until this place. We work way outside of town, so it is a rare occasion when my husband and I get to enjoy a restaurant meal. We enjoy taking leftovers home for the next day. So we ordered 2 appetizers, and 3 sushi rolls. Our waiter made multiple comments about our order and how much food it was, along with all kinds of looks. Which normally doesn't bother me, but I don't go drop $100+ to get judged by a waiter. He also couldn't be bothered to fill up drinks or check and see if we needed anything. We went on to order our two entrees which we ended up boxing up to take home. I give the sushi a 7/10. The rest of the food was average at best, a lot of it you could tell was frozen. I won't go back simply because I can spend my money elsewhere with better quality service and food. read more

Restaurant appearance is perfect and very clean. Walking in the door I was greeted by who I believe is the owner or manager. He was very nice and the hostess quickly took me to a table of my choosing. She also was very friendly and attentive. Ordered a martini and modelo. The martini was a little watered down. In James Bond fashion it was Shaken not Stirred so I give them an A for effort. The beers I wanted were out of stock which is very unacceptable in my opinion. You should never run out of what have on the menu. The rolls rice seems to have been made very early in the day maybe even previous day. It's freshness wasn't what I'm used to in Houston but hey it's Hobbs NM so I can't be to harsh. Dessert subpar. Overall I give it 3 stars. Only because sushi should be made to order and you'll have a hard time convincing me that this was made to order. I doubt I'll ever return. read more

We went here with high expectations because many friends told us this was a really good restaurant. The hostess seemed inexperienced and confused when trying to place us at our table. Our waiter was also young and very confused too! We ordered our drinks (BTW the purple rain came out slime green-see pic) and potstickers for our appetizer. We told numb nuts (Alejandro) that we wanted to enjoy our drinks, then appetizer, then our soups and entree's. So, we asked that he place the orders slowly so we didn't get everything at once-Se' Senior! After we got the drinks, he came back to order entrees, my better half ordered the stir fry with soup and I ordered the Asian grilled chicken. And oh by the way I said "let the chef know that I have a shellfish allergy "! After a while Numb Nuts comes back and says, you cannot have anything on our menu because everything is prepared on surfaces that could have touched shellfish. (Are you listening NM state health department?) my better half says surely you clean the counters and grills. Numb Nuts says, and quote "the grill is cleaned maybe once a month! And my better half says "after we finish our drinks, let's go somewhere else!" Knowing that she was looking forward to this dinner I said "no, I will have a soup and salad" and Numb nuts says "all you can have is egg drop soup because everything else touches the same surfaces as the shellfish ". So, I ordered the egg drop soup and salad. I really wanted the ginger dressing like the menu referenced, but he just listed the run-of-meal dressing, so I ordered the ranch. He did bring me wonton soup like I wanted and said it should be okay. So, we are humming along enjoying the drinks (the Manhattan was great-purple rain tasted like anti-freeze). Then, another dude brings all this food, stir fry, my soup, and salad. No potstickers or soup for my sweetie. When my better half said "where's the potstickers and my soup?" Numb Nuts said "oh I did not think you wanted those!" To this she says "the soup comes with my entree!" And she (who's starting to get pissed says "we need silverware and a napkin! And she continues "you should write this stuff down, if you cannot remember-we told you to not bring all the food out at once!" Our waiter just turns and walks away. When he returns with the napkins and silverware she says "what about my soup and soy sauce?" NN says "oh I thought you did not want the soup" and she says "why did I order it, if I didn't want it?" At the end of the meal Alejandro continued to be confrontational and I said just give me the check! We paid and left after she gave the hostess a piece of her mind. Absolutely amazing! They took reservations which was great. Large space with a private room and a lounge/bar area. Really diverse menu. Sushi, Asian dishes, and then a great selection of fish and beef, pork, quail, and even lamb. We had tilapia with shrimp and pork tenderloin. Kids had kids pasta which they loved. Highly recommend this place. My only fix would've been to have better cleaned the booth seats and cook the pork a little less. Otherwise a great little gem here in Hobbs. read more

I know it was a shit movie, but don't let that stop you from giving this place a try. Had some veggie stir-fry that was with the hunan sauce. The tuna is definitely sushi grade. They serve a Kobe beef burger, they're all over the map, but from what I saw tonight, they're pulling it off well. Very busy, but this is the only joint around of this caliber, so I can see why. The tuna tartare has always been amazing, with great flavor, and so has the almond crusted lamb chops. Other things we have tried were not always the best.
