Updating this place mainly because of our server Alex! My brothers and I settled on Texas Roadhouse for our mom's birthday back on April 21, 2026 since her first choice was closed for maintenance. Alex was by far the best server I have had in Hobbs to date. Why? He was very attentive. Did not forget a thing. Had a sense of humor. Never scowled. Constantly smiled. Moved around so he could hear our party of - how many was there? I think 17. I do not love the food here, but this time my country fried sirloin was not overcooked and the gravy was good. Thank you bartend for taking care of my mom before our reservation! She had a "Kicker" margarita which features "a, often blue, tube filled with tequila and triple sec, up-ended into the drink to slowly add more alcohol." I think it was my dad's idea. Lol. The worst steak I've ever had from any of the roadhouses I've visited. Tried to sale me a ny strip as a ribeye. Then over cooks a rare steak to the point it almost had a burnt taste. I'd rather go to Blake's and eat a burger than eat at this place ever again. Hobbs doesn't have a good steak restaurant at all from what I have experienced in the last three weeks. read more

We had an early dinner around 5, the service was very good. My husband got a Ribeye and it was cooked perfectly, I got a grilled chicken breast with mushrooms and onions, my was good as well. We have found going earlier in the evening it's not quite as loud which we prefer. Overall a good experience. read more

I went here for dinner tonight with my parents. I was in town for a funeral. My baked potato was so cold the butter didn't melt. My steak was ordered Medium. Was like a piece of shoe leather, so over cooked. I ate the potato and tried several bites of the steak thinking I didn't want to say anything to embarrass my parents. But when the server finally ask how everything was I expressed my opinion. She said she would talk to her manager. I thought maybe at the very least 1/2 off. But No. I have had many good meals here but tonight I was very disappointed. This isn't the 1st situation that the manager has made a bad judgment call against a customer. read more

Belated review from Saturday night dinner. We enjoyed sitting in the new section as it was not as noisy as the rest of restaurant. Easier on my older parent's hearing. We had a lovely server, Jenny. Very friendly. We also had an excellent conversation with Buzz, the Service Manager. Both represented the company very well. Great attitude considering a wedding party of 45 showed up and it was a very busy night. Steaks were on point and juicy too. read more

The most awful place ever. I have been to many different restaurants in my lifetime. Took my daughter here for her birthday and asked for a double. Because my husband got a beer, they said we were only able to get a single. Ok. Finished our singles, asked for a refill. A few minutes later, the manager comes up, saying "she understands we're having a conflict with our drinks." No, ma'am. No conflict. When our waitress returns, I ask why her manager came over about a "conflict." She says I'm being rude to her. Then some other waitresses start talking behind us, saying, "Just ring them out, don't take that shit." We've been coming here for a year, no problems, and all of a sudden, it's something weird. Happy Hour crew appears to be a mix of local talent and Oil / Gas workers. A/C system was struggling to cool the place down, staff were doing their best to make the situation as light hearted as possible. I'm not sure who they buy their meat from but I've picked out a better steak from Kroger. Staff were friendly and accommodating, not the greatest experience but not the worst either. The food is consistent but the service is a miss. Only saw our server when we were seated, didn't get drink refills until we asked another server. Manager "check" was him walking by with no interaction of asking how the food was. Workers here just don't make the cut for Texas Roadhouse. read more

Three stars cause last couple times I dined here service was good. Lots of oilfield folks lots of people traveling alone therefore, bar is always full (not som much this night). Bar service would be better if the bartenders wouldn't be hanging and snacking with their friends at the corner of the bar (At least on this visit). Paid bar tab after asking three times all while they were trying to figure why I never got my food order. Didn't matter, wanted to pay for what I drank. What's the hyp? This place is rockin' every night. We went once before and was very crowded and loud. We got there early before the Happy Hour crowd and was nice. No wait for seating. All staff very nice. As the Happy Hour crew came in, got louder and louder. All the food was salty. My 12 inch NYS steak was at least half fat and gristle. The fried pickles were too salty to eat. My daughters chicken was overcooked and dry. Too bad. Both the steak and chicken had good flavor! Just a little too much salt. It was clean. Music was good-- not all country. We had called in for a reservation way in advance, there was 13 of us, tan showed up at the door because me and my two granddaughters had to go see my sister that wasn't feeling well and tell her goodbye. First the girls up front were very rude, they said no ma'am we we cannot see you until your full party's here, I didn't want to leave my sister by herself so I said I'll be there in a minute with my two grandchildren, we got there the others were already seated, they said they could not seat me and my two granddaughters which I'm 64 and the granddaughters are under are Young, said that me and my two little granddaughters would have to wait and behind 35 people to be seated although we had called ahead and they said they would put our names down in reservations, the waitress was very rude, so they couldn't see us there me I'm elderly and my two young granddaughters even though we had called in advance with the other 10, I said we were going to have to stand up and wait for 35 other people to be seated, while our other party of 10 was seated now that's just plum ridiculous they would have been through eating, so the rest of them said well we're not going to stay here so they all got up and left, so y'all lost out on a lot a lot a lot of money, plus being very very rude up front and at the table is very unprofessional, I hope you do something about this and talk to those employees in Hobbs New Mexico about this, because they are running a lot of your customers off, and again y'all lost out on a lot of money from us, because my kids tip at least a hundred or more on each meal we are at no matter what the cost, so the rude waitress missed out on a great tip too, we will not be eating at Roadhouse ever again anywhere, and yeah you're probably saying oh you're just a few it doesn't matter that's what's better with the Roadhouse but again your employees were very very very rude, that makes me very sad. read more

Our server made several several mistakes which usually I'm patient when it comes to that. But one of our meals was completely wrong. Should have been a medium Tbone came out a well done rib eye. Sent it back for a re-make. Shouldn't of been a problem but it took 12 minutes to "rush" a medium tbone. Manager brings it out and we expressed some of our disappointments and she literally didn't do anything about it. Then they tried to charge us for both steaks. The one that was wrong and the re-make. After the remake our server avoided us as much as possible. Was able to get the wrong steak taken off our bill but they didn't do anything to comp for the terrible service and overall bad experience. Love Texas Roadhouse but do not recommend going to this one at all. I've grown to expect more from one of my favorite steakhouses. read more

Our first time st Roadhouse in Hobbs. Got seated right away! Server was on top of it! Place appeared clean. However, that's the extent of the good. Food was over cooked, salty, and over seasoned. The Mac and cheese for the kids was dried out. It was also very loud. Won't be eating here again soon! read more

6/29/21 at 6:40pm. Parking lot was full but able to be seated within 5 minutes of arrival. Server got drink orders and informed us the were very busy and would get to as as quickly as possible. There was no delay in the service. All the staff were very friendly and would stop by to see if everything was good. The food was good. The service was the best. read more

So we saw the 1 star review and was uneasy about going to try it. But we got a recommendation to go from a friend so we did. We are so glad that we did. In the middle of this whole mess we were able to sit outside and enjoy ourselves. The wait staff was awesome and the food was great also. If you go ask for Jenny and you won't go wrong. I had the most wonderful ribs. The full plate came with two sides and it was so big that I shared it with a friend. Delicious rolls and butter too. I got the mango margarita, which was awesome as well. Very efficient server and nice atmosphere overall. I will be back! read more
