Enduring those, a bacon cheeseburger come loaded with onions, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Add ketchup, mayo, or mustard to taste. The bacon was flavorful and plentiful. The burger was real beef. It was a hair overcooked to the point of being dry. I hope this gets better. The cost before tax was $13.99. Went back. The burger was juicy and delicious. I did notice those with to go orders sit at tables until their orders are ready. Meaning, if you are dining in, you may not have a table because of the hoarders staring at their devices.

Additionally they have really good cherry lime soda that had the best fizz. I appreciate extra fizzy sodas the older I get. RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 3.5 | Service: 3.5 | Ambiance: 3.5 | Price: 3 This newly opened (in April 2026) burger restaurant is located in a strip mall across from Del Norte Park in Hobbs, NM. There was ample, free parking plus a drive-thru window on May 30, 2026. They currently accept phone orders. My girls and I went inside because even though they should know what they want they always have annoying questions and take forever looking at menus. Lol. The service was friendly and welcoming, however, they didn't know how to explain "Bonus Sauce", one guy did not sweep the floors properly, and we waited about 20 minutes for our takeout. On to the food... First off, my medium thickness patty could have been juicier. It was a bit dry, but the rest of the ingredients were noticeably fresh. Second, not a huge fan of their cheese. It doesn't melt properly. AI says it is "a combination of American cheese and cheddar." Yuck, yuck, yuck. No wonder I did not like it - I have a disdain for American cheese. Alas, the crinkle fries were actually really good. Supposedly made fresh too. If you like the sauce at Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers, you'll like the Bonus Sauce. The cup that the young lady at the register gave us to sample was used to dip our fries in - very yummy. Pre-tax Prices: - #3 AVOCADO BURGER COMBO W/Fries & Medium Cherry Lime = $13.99 - #3 AVOCADO BURGER COMBO W/Fries = $13.99 - Medium Oreo Milkshake= $5.49 - #1 BURGER COMBO W/Fries (add mustard, mayo, and ketchup, while keeping the bonus sauce... that's my kid LOL) = $11.99 - Small Oreo Milkshake = $4.49 As you can see, there is no price break whatsoever for substituting a shake with the soda in the combos. That's steep for takeout from a fast food restaurant for 3 people. Lastly, the music did not match the vibes inside, but it was nice and cool on a hot day. I don't know what these kids were playing but it was one reason why I didn't want to eat inside.

I wanted to love my first experience at "Mateo's" on March 26, 2026, but it fell short, so I'm going to have a solo working lunch or breakfast here hopefully soon to get a better sense of the dining scene. The cutoff at 7 pm is a bit early for dinner in my opinion, but that's when they close. Also, when I just wanted a few items to take home with me to add to add to my homemade taco dinner, a young female employee explained that they had to take the chile con queso off of their menu because "nobody liked it." Lol. I mean, I appreciate the honesty, but maybe just mark it off of the menu and be a little more professional next time. The salsa tasted homemade. The small bag of chips did not. My daughters did not like their birthday cake cookies. That was a bummer. Super small cafe, but colorful Mexican decor all throughout. Located on the south side of Albertsons Market in the plaza.

LOCATION/AMBIANCE The location is sort of in the heart of town. Once inside, there was country music playing with a flatscreen of the playlist. They really should try to maintain & clean their restrooms better & keep the main doors to them closed. Seating was available for large groups of 6-8 people as well as smaller groups. THE GRUB + complimentary chicharrónes & salsa + Green Chile cheeseburger - mine arrived at our table slightly overcooked & had some browning lettuce on it. Came with a side order of my choice of curly fries. Dr. Pepper to drink. $9.99. Specify the drink size you want because I'm not sure why most of us got large drinks and one medium when we weren't asked what size. The menu says small fries and medium drink. LITTLE YELPER'S CLUB I don't remember seeing a kid's menu. SERVICE Their younger workers were not friendly at all & needed constant translations. MY FAVORITE PART... The nice lady who took our order. She seemed like the owner and by far the hardest worker. NOT SO FAVORITE PART... They were out of several items including steak fingers. TIP - Fee ($1.69 for our group) for paying with card. It was a work lunch, so I won't be back by choice ever again.

Joe's Italian Restaurant is located across from the Hobbs High School on Sanger Street…read more My daughters and I enjoyed a nice dinner before attending a middle school musical on February 27, 2026. Parking in the unmarked lots on either side of the building was available. I hope they improve this someday with an even ground and painted lines. With as packed as it was, I was surprised our wait was only about 15 minutes. The host was friendly and attentive, asking if we liked our seat. A basket of soft table bread reminiscent of rolls with olive oil was served sooner after we received our drinks (2 sweet iced teas, $5.98 and a Mug root beer, $2.99). They do not serve wine or other alcoholic beverages. My youngest and I had dinner salads served in bowls. The salad, while simple, was freshly served with mostly green lettuce, a grape tomato, and single ring of red onion. I appreciated their serving mine plain and bringing olive oil for me as dressing. I dashed a bit of grated Parmesan cheese and a touch of salt on top of the drizzled oil. They also brought red wine vinegar. My oldest enjoy a small supreme pizza ($16.99). For a small, it was considerable size. She brought most of it home. My youngest chose manicotti ($13.99). She must have enjoyed it because she did not share. I had really high hopes for my piccata entree, but my (gluten free) penne pasta per request was way overcooked. I prefer my pasta al dente, but much of it was mushy. But the sauce was really good. I had this dish with shrimp ($20.98). I gave two of my shrimp to my youngest and I had three. Service by Kelvin was great! Just a minor hiccup in forgetting our takeout boxes. He remembered our Italian cream cake ($7.99) which was divine and made in-house. It's markedly loud inside. This restaurant took the place of longtime meat market resident, Kendall's - in which case I saw an old sign in the corner that said "Welcome to Kendall's" on it. There are a few things they could do to take the ambiance and overall Italian vibe to the next level. Overall, I do recommend this place. I look forward to trying more dishes. I am so glad Hobbs is drastically improving in wait service and higher level dining with the addition of Joe's. RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 4.5 | Service: 4 | Ambiance: 3| Price: 4

RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 4| Service: 4 | Ambiance: 2 | Price: 3 PARKING There is ample free parking at the Broadmoor Mall which is more like a hall. Anyway. You shouldn't have a problem parking within walking distance. Also, trucks/trailers should have plenty of space to park. LOCATION/AMBIANCE This restaurant took the place of the long-standing Furr's which held a special place in my heart. They have repainted and redecorated the main dining room with seafood and ocean vibes. THE GRUB Both my significant other and I opted for the 1/2 pound crab boil ($17.99). We both wanted garlic butter seasoning at medium spice level. My photo didn't do it justice, but each steamed bag has several slices (like maybe 5) of andouille sausage, a piece of corn on the cob, and maybe 3 small potatoes. We really enjoyed ours, but the crab could have been more fresh. Welcome to Hobbs, NM where most seafood arrives frozen. :) The taro milk tea ($4.99) was iced, but stayed super warm for a long time. While it had a slightly sweeter flavor than I like, it was better when I got home to add ice to it as I did not drink much of it at the restaurant. LITTLE YELPER'S CLUBI did not see a kid's menu, however, my kiddos were in school & I forgot to ask if they had one. SERVICE We were not promptly greeted - it even took a while for someone to seat us, but once they did things went smoothly. Our waitress didn't even ask my SO if he wanted his tea refilled. She just did it. Love that. MY FAVORITE PART... How our waitress hustled for us about 10 other tables all by herself. NOT SO FAVORITE PART... The two out-of-sync TVs playing music videos. TIP Several customers came in for order pickups, so it seems like a decent spot for takeout.

I should have looked more carefully at the menu, but I have never been to a less vegetarian friendly Mexican food place. I ordered a Paloma and it was the worst I have ever had. It tasted like it had no alcohol at all. The place is tiny, and then they had a band coming to play. It was vibrating the entire building. My teeth were rattling. The music itself would have been pleasant if it wasn't eardrum shattering. My husband liked his drink. The service was fine, although there was a communication barrier, I blame myself and not the waitress. I think that's about it. It was also not cheap like others are commenting. This was a big fat fail. Let me add - per my Apple Watch, the decibel level got up to 107 db, and 10+ mins over 95 can damage your hearing! I've been to plenty of places with live music, but never anything that incredibly loud. There were really young kids in there, too!

I really enjoyed a night out here with my parents for a unique meal in this small town. RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 4 | Service: 4.5 | Ambiance: 4 | Price: 4 PARKING Could be better. There is some on the north side right next to the restaurant or in the lot just across the street. There is minimal parking on the south side. It's a busy street so be careful. LOCATION/AMBIANCE This medium-sized venue is located on the south side of town with busy Dal Paso Street nearby. My dad refers to it as the ghetto. Some areas are rundown indeed and some outside work could be done, but it's okay. Inside, the high ceilings, flat screen TVs, Spanish music, and some oceanside vibes invite you to an open-style dining area. There was one lone restroom which I personally hate because sharing with other men is disgusting. It's well-lit inside. While we were there, a live 5-piece band came in to play about 8 songs. They never asked us gringos what we wanted to hear. Lol. THE GRUB Complimentary chips were decent, but not very salty. The first batch of salsa was mild. The second batch we received was a bit more smoky-flavored and had more of a chipotle essence to it. + michelada especial ($11) with Modelo - had bacon, cucumber, and shrimp too. So refreshing after a long day! + filete al olivo ($18) - "Basa swai fillet skillet cooked with olive oil, garlic, and chile de arbol served with rice and salad." I really enjoyed this because it came with three small flour tortillas - the perfect portion for me. But, the outer edges of the fish were a bit crispy and hard to cut into with my fork. That's the only silverware we were given was a fork each. + torre altata ($23) - this was a tower of all kinds of items: shrimp ceviche, cooked shrimp, lime juice-marinated shrimp, octopus, Mexican scallops, tuna, onion and cucumber in a red sauce and topped with avocado and chiltepin pepper. My dad said it was way too much for him, but it was good. + tacos de camaron ($14) - my mom devoured hers, not even bothering to let us try it so it must have been really good. I think it was three smaller tacos. LITTLE YELPER'S CLUB They had a nice little kid's menu, but my kids were elsewhere so I'm not sure how it fared. SERVICE Most of the employees spoke English, but were also bilingual in Spanish and all of them were friendly. They worked super fast to bus tables, get drink orders, and serve meals. Our waitress came on over right away and dropped off menus and took our drink orders. We had two horchatas. We decided to pick from the menu and not go with the buffet they offer for lunch. The buffet in my opinion did not look fresh and did not have enough options. I ordered a chicken tostada and the flautas entree, while my friend ordered a smothered chicken chimichanga. My chicken tostada was soggy by the time it made itself my way. It was loaded with beans, chicken, lettuce, and some other toppings so it broke when I picked it up. My chicken flautas were plain and just missing flavor. My friends chimi was superr salty and so she decided not to eat it. Our drinks sat empty for sometime and when we looked for our server she was sitting at a booth talking to what seemed her friend. So I waved her down to get some refills. The horchata was pretty good!! We needed boxes and she never came back to us so so we grabbed the ones from the buffet line. Food wasn't all that great and the service was ehhh..
