I knew as soon as I saw "blackened tilapia" on the menu I had to have it. "Served on a bed of rice pila" ($12.99), it also came with my choice of two sides. The charro beans and fried okra were excellent! While my fish wasn't the freshest, the seasoning was really delicious. The outer edges were crispy, but inside the fish was flaky and moist. I also ordered a refreshing Sprite. Paid cash. Got just a little less than $4 back. Service was nice, but my waitress only checked on me after she realized I was ready to go. The food is fairly unique to Lea County. I can see why my employees like this place. I'm glad I had a lot on my mind that day... Really dumb parking lot, though. In the time that road construction begins anywhere in New Mexico, The Black Death (a bubonic plague pandemic that occurred in Europe from 1346 to 1353) would have came and went.
