Grilled Shrimp, Roasted Veggies, Baby Bakers

Obviously a local favorite. It was continually full the entire time we were here. The food was absolutely amazing! I had the Grilled shrimp with roasted veggies and little bakers and my husband had the NM Special. Both dishes were, perfect! We asked for to go cups for our Sweet Tea & Regular Tea and they went in the back and brewed fresh.

OVERALL Hot Hot Cajun Juicy Seafood is a nice change of pace…read morefor this small town. I'd go here again some day. RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 4| Service: 4 | Ambiance: 2 | Price: 3 PARKING There is ample free parking at the Broadmoor Mall which is more like a hall. Anyway. You shouldn't have a problem parking within walking distance. Also, trucks/trailers should have plenty of space to park. LOCATION/AMBIANCE This restaurant took the place of the long-standing Furr's which held a special place in my heart. They have repainted and redecorated the main dining room with seafood and ocean vibes. THE GRUB Both my significant other and I opted for the 1/2 pound crab boil ($17.99). We both wanted garlic butter seasoning at medium spice level. My photo didn't do it justice, but each steamed bag has several slices (like maybe 5) of andouille sausage, a piece of corn on the cob, and maybe 3 small potatoes. We really enjoyed ours, but the crab could have been more fresh. Welcome to Hobbs, NM where most seafood arrives frozen. :) The taro milk tea ($4.99) was iced, but stayed super warm for a long time. While it had a slightly sweeter flavor than I like, it was better when I got home to add ice to it as I did not drink much of it at the restaurant. LITTLE YELPER'S CLUBI did not see a kid's menu, however, my kiddos were in school & I forgot to ask if they had one. SERVICE We were not promptly greeted - it even took a while for someone to seat us, but once they did things went smoothly. Our waitress didn't even ask my SO if he wanted his tea refilled. She just did it. Love that. MY FAVORITE PART... How our waitress hustled for us about 10 other tables all by herself. NOT SO FAVORITE PART... The two out-of-sync TVs playing music videos. TIP Several customers came in for order pickups, so it seems like a decent spot for takeout.

My usual delivery order is orange chicken and hand pulled noodles with a taro boba…read more The traditional Chinese menu is very nicely presented. Bao buns and shumai also very nice. Xie Xie.

It seems that they didn't add the bbq sauce until right before serving. The green chile stew on the other hand was very tasty. The western decor focusing around the large Salad Bar is very clean and on par for the vibe. There is a bar area for dining, as well. If you ever pass by here at peak lunch or dinner hours, the large parking area is packed! A reservation is recommended or wait times should be expected, unless it's an off peak hour. This past Tuesday we had a party of 10 for mi abuelas 90th birthday celebration with a 3pm reservation, since that is when my grandmother typically eats. They sat us at a very nice wooden table, but we were a bit crammed in with everyone elbowing each other as we at and a few on the ends having to straddle a table leg. Service was on the slow side with apps coming out before our drinks were delivered, and without offering appetizer plates for the large table to share. No clearing of salad plates or drink refills when the food arrived, but we stacked and cleared some space ourselves. The food was all really good. Grandma loves the Cheese Sticks and Sautéed Mushroom appetizers so that is what we had. Several of us had Chicken Fried Steak, a few had El Rio Pollo, one steak, one salmon, one Salad only and one Crispy Chicken salad. We all loved all the food! Drink refills eventually happened and the server was kind. I wasn't able to get photos of everyone's food around the large table. The family will keep coming again and again for casual dining and for large group celebrations.

I'll get to my CONS out of the way: - limited hours on Saturdays & Sundays (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM) - credit card fee of 3.5% and I did NOT see this posted at the register - No buffet on Saturdays - chips and salsa are NOT complimentary ($6.99) My daughters and I came here for lunch for a girls day out before Mother's Day 2026 since we were spending time with family on Sunday. My dish: Tacos a la Parilla ($14.99 for 3 soft tacos with grilled brisket, guacamole, jalapenos, onions, tomatoes) served with rice and beans. Absolutely delicious. I would get this again. My oldest daughter also had a brisket taco plate ($14.99) but the crispy variety without jalapeno or pico de gallo. My youngest daughter opted for a cheeseburger ($13.89) with fries ($2.00). If those weren't fresh hand-cut fries I would be surprised. They were yummy. Slightly crisp. Not too oily. The burger I would have eaten all by myself with its buttery fluffy buns. This is a close first place for burgers in Lovington with Lazy 6 being its competition. Their horchata was divine ($4.25 × 2). My youngest was happy with her sweet tea ($3.75). Loved the vibes inside. The ceilings and lighting fixtures were very interesting. Not overly decorated. Good Mexican music playing at a good decibel. All of the staff members we interacted with were friendly. Restrooms and parking were good. I'll be a repeat offender.
