I've been a member for just under a year and I think I've only been three or four times. However, in my Facebook feed, I saw the image of this giant 10 pound chocolate bunny and I knew I had to have him. $29.97! If you break it down, it's cheaper than buying four bags of Reese's peanut butter cups that are under a pound. To make up for my indiscretion I also bought my dog a bag of dog treats, and I bought some healthy micro greens. It was super busy being two days before the holiday but I like how they come by and scan your card so when you get to the register, you show them your card and you're ready to go. read more

Terrible experience at Costco Wholesale Wheaton. Before installing my new tires, my TPMS system was working perfectly. After the installation on Tuesday, the light came on, disappeared, and then came back again on today Thursday. I was told two sensors were failing, then one, and then again two. Now I'm expected to pay $63.29 per sensor, even though none were failing before the service. This is very concerning. On top of that, all four of my rims are now scratched. The damage is consistent with improper handling, but I was told it was "normal wear." I was asked to fill out a claim form for the rims, but I seriously doubt they will take responsibility. I understand sensors can fail, but combined with the rim damage and inconsistent information, this has been a terrible experience. Trying to save money ended up costing more. I do not recommend this location. If you come here, take pictures of your rims, tires, and any part of your vehicle before service. There is no guarantee your car won't be damaged, and they will likely not take responsibility. read more

This location is so much better than the Gaithersburg location. The parking lot is so much better. No one here is losing their mind over a space. I was able to find plenty of open spaces! Its inside the mall. Similar layouts as most locations. Not as much sample people here what i love is that they have tons of K-beauty brands like you would see on TikTok like Tirtir , Beauty of Joseon or Mixsoon. I didnt see too much kidstuff like the plushies or books, Food court is outside the mall which is better because it helps with the crowd unlike other locations. Decided to drop by this Costco for the first time on Thursday, 12/04/25, at 7:30 PM. There were still lots of people going in and out of Costco even though it was almost closing time. Barely found a parking space after driving around a couple of times since there were a lot of others doing the same. The inventory of items were good, but prices seemed a bit on the higher side than we are used to at other Costco locations. For instance, a 3-pack of Organic milk cost $12.99 when we usually get a 4-pack for the same price! Sparkling water cases are normally $17.99, but costs $19.99 here. Not sure if they increased the prices and cut out certain portions or what, but that is what we noticed. Also, the food court is outside at this Costco location compared to the other ones where it's inside. Guess even non-Members can buy the food then? Is that the reason? A smaller warehouse next to a Target, Wheaton Mall and Panda Express. read more

I did it! I caved and bought the Executive Membership at Costco! I like buying things in large quantities. But, the real reason is that you can go shopping at 9:30 am, before the large crowds start to arrive. Service was spectacular at this Costco. The people were so nice and showed me where everything was located. I was shopping at this Costco because the parking lot was being replaced at my old Costco. But, I liked this one so much, I may switch over. They have great values. I use a lot of paper plates at my house. I am not a fan of doing dishes and they were on sale. I got Sketchers socks and Keith Harrington lounge wear. Thank you Shelley for letting me know about the loungewear. My students studied Keith Harrington when I taught second grade. The Halloween decorations were out in full swing. I saw giant skeletons, cute Mickie Mouse decorations, and adorable Halloween themed pillows. So, parking was good! I finally bit the suburbia bullet and finally got a membership to Costco. Unfortunately, I forgot that Costco really does not do bags. Since I "could not" shop, this review will be about my experience with joining Costco. Overall, the process was pretty smooth. I went with the basic membership that is $65/year. I did not think that I would visit so frequently Costco to justify the executive membership, which was $135. However, I believe that you can upgrade during the year - esepcially since it has specific hours of shopping before basic membership holders arrive. I thought the sales representative was very professional. Although he explained the advantages of the executive membership, he was not super pushy with trying to convince me to purchase it. From, what I saw, this place on the smaller side of most Costcos that I have seen. For instance, this Costco is located in the shopping mall. However, I've seen Costcos that are the same size as a small mall. That said, it looked like it has all of your basic Costco needs - in large bulk. I did notice that the lines were pretty long. However, I visited during the Monday after Thanksgiving, so I'm sure that a lot of folks were trying to catch Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Christmas deals. If you're in the mall and don't have a membership, try to buy something from the small food structure outside the store. It's just as good as most other food options in the mall and cheaper. I don't think you need a membership. --- As compared to other Costco stores I've been to, this is mostly standard. Versus other stores, it can be harder to find an employee if you're having trouble finding something but otherwise very normal. Just about all these stores have the same issues/benefits: PROS - Very good prices on glasses and generics at the pharmacy - Selection is the same as all these warehouse stores, generally good quality and - No issues with returns. - Reputation for treating their employees well CONS - The busy times are extremely busy. Utterly overloaded with people. - Bakery and produce is generally just okay. - They will pitch the executive membership to you in the middle of a very very long line at the cash register for some reason. I don't know why they do this. Other notes - Selection is crap but whatever you buy it's going to be generally cheaper and better quality. The company's online options are a little better but you've got to hit $50 to get free shipping. read more

The service at the tire is center is atrocious. Even if you make an appointment, your car won't be taken care of at the appointed time so you're stuck waiting for hours. They are rude. They try to lie and trick you into buying new tires. They don't do alignments. My car wasn't seen until 1:30 even though my appointment was at 12. Then I get a call at 1:46 saying they can't do my rotation and balance because I need two new tires. They claim I have missed 2 rotations but I bring it here for rotations, so how have I missed 2? They must not be doing the rotations when I bring it in. I get the oil changed every 3-4 months and drive almost 7,000 miles in between then. But it doesn't get over that. So Costco is not doing the work they claim to be doing for people's vehicles. I won't be bringing my truck to Costco anymore. read more

This was my first visit to this Costco and I found a really nice Wrangler canvas work jacket that was insulated for only $31. Same jacket from Wrangler was $60, so a decent bargain. The store had an amazing selection of holiday chocolates. It was packed but checkout was pretty fast on the self check out. The nice part of this Costco was parking was easy because of the mall. My usual Costco never seems to have parking. read more

OK, so Costco is Costco right... WRONG! I used to always go to the Gaithersburg Costco and I live in downtown Bethesda, but then one day I checked out the Wheaton Costco, which is literally 10 minutes from me. Everything at one Costco is the exact same as the other, but I have to tell you the parking at the Wheaton Costco, as compared to the Gaithersburg Costco, there is no comparison. I've never had trouble getting a parking spot in the first four rows... Not ever! The self checkout is phenomenal because there's always someone to help each cart so you don't ever have to take the food out of the cart. They take their magic scanner and scan everything while it's in the cart. All you have to do is get the Costco card out and your credit card and you are done! Checking out including the line and the checking out process has never taken more than five minutes. read more

This one particular African American lady usually working at the self check out needs to be fired! Every time I go to Costco and encounter her, she purposely be hostile at me. First encounter, she accused me of stealing my husband's card. This was before they started enforcing the each person needs their own card policy. She asked me whose card I was holding and I responded that it is my husband. She said, "That man cannot be your husband because he is not Chinese." Mind you, I am not Chinese and it is none of her business. I spoke with the front end supervisor and she was spoken to then. The second encounter with her, she falsely accused me of stealing my own card (I gotten my own). The issue was that my husband thought the card had been renewed since he did auto renew but it did not go through apparently. It was just a minor issue that could have easily been resolved. She kept going on and on making a scene. At that time, I needed to buy formula for my baby so I told her that I am taking care of it and asked why is she being mean. She then took the formula from me and I told her that I am getting the issue resolved. She said "If you don't renew your membership now, you don't get the formula!" She literally made me cry and then said to her colleagues, "Look at her crying over this." She flat out embarrassed me on purpose. Today, she purposely ignored us when we asked for help at self checkout. When she finally decided to help, she told me in a very hostile manner to move. She then told me that I couldn't stand there with my stroller. I was trying to get my mother, who is hard of hearing, while my father went to check out. She then repeated herself to get me to move. Because I wasn't moving fast enough, she tried to push my stroller with my baby in it in a very aggressive manner. I told her to not touch my baby and she still tried to push my stroller. I responded that she did not need to touch my stroller. To Costco corporate, please look into this matter. This employee needs to be terminated. She doesn't represent Costco and she doesn't deserve to work with your company. She has no right to lay her hands on my property with my child in it. Had she injured my child, I would have pursue legal actions against her and your company. read more

I've always found the staff (cashiers, eye wear and hearing department) to be pleasant, courteous and efficient. Floral arrangements ate usually fresh and beautiful. The electronics department isn't great to me. The lines move quickly which I appreciate! I have shopped here for years and no longer shop at Target or Amazon. Wish I'd bought stock earlier. I've been a Costco member for over 20 years, but this location has become hostile and unprofessional. On September 20, 2025, I witnessed an employee mark a $200 item down to $50 for his coworker. When I politely asked if it was on sale, I was told, "This is private, between employees. None of your business." Since then, that same employee has repeatedly been rude and aggressive toward me. On October 18, 2025, when I finally confronted him about his disrespectful behavior, he yelled over me to a supervisor, falsely claiming I cursed at him--a clear attempt to discredit me before I could file a complaint. I never used profanity. His outburst was loud, intentional, and humiliating. This kind of employee misconduct and retaliation is unacceptable. It also raises serious concerns about insider discounts and theft, which ultimately drive up costs for paying members. After two decades, I'm strongly considering canceling my membership. Costco needs to take a hard look at what's happening at this location. read more

This is a good Costco and one of our regular Costco's that we visit. This has a few Pros and Cons Pros: Good parking space right outside the store (close walk from the entrance to both parking lots. The surface parking lot is good to get in and out of the store. The parking garage is good too but has competition with the Mall shoppers. The store is well stocked with most things that you need compared to other local Costco's. Checkout is easy and quick too Cons: Since this Costco is part of the Mall, driving to it can be a challenge - circle around the mall and also deal with Mall traffic Also, there is more foot traffic in and around Costco with the casual mall shopper. Later, I went home and was able to sign up for a membership online using the same debit card. First time at this Costco and for a Sunday afternoon, it was chaos! Parking here was a mess. Entering the address takes you to a shopping mall where the Costco is located and my first attempt to park was in the garage. The traffic and dodging other shoppers pushing their carts throughout the garage was a mess. I finally left the garage to the outdoor parking area, which was a little better but not by much. To get in to the Costco, you essentially enter in to a mall. Once inside, it was the usual of what you will find at any Costco. There are a lot of shoppers, going in all directions, moving at various paces, distracted with their phones...makes an eventful and stressful experience. I also purchase Pirate Booty cheddar blast cheese puffs they're good a soft puff & very light. They aren't salty like I would think the cheese flavor is really mild 8/10. Saving the best to the best for last all I can say is TAKE ME BACK TO THE ISLAND. I have been literally waiting to purchase THE ISLAND WAY SORBET. The sobet is freeze in the natural shell which makes it so unique the sorbet is so creamy & the fruit really come through in its flavors. I ordered at Costco an oven. It was supposed to be here one June first, then again, on June 8th. I received a notice saying it was on its way; others saying it was out for delivery; and then finally delivery was not available. How can something be out for delivery, then say canceled delivery by Costco, unless they gave it to someone else. Then I continued to get noticed, saying it was out for delivery. I had to set up another date and then was told no more were in stock, and Costco was not sure when they would get them. I finally rescheduled weeks later and again started getting notices saying it was out for delivery a week before it ever arrived. I was promised the oven would be here in time for a huge party before I ordered it. A few days before the party, I was told it would not be delivered on time. I had no time to order another one for my oven was broken, but stove stop worked. Weeks after it was supposed to arrived it was delivered, but it did not work. The delivery man blamed me because it had a three prong on the oven. How was it my fault? I ordered a three prong option and the oven didn't work? Did the manufracturer don't know three prongs would not work on the oven when they put it on the oven? It had nothing to do with me or with the outlet but the oven itself. The delivery man refused to take it back and put my old appliance back in. I can not believe this happened. I refused to sign the paperwork. I then got a notice saying oven had been successfully delivered with a picture of it in my house! Seriously, you can not make this stuff up. I have been playing phone tag with sales manager ever since it was brought into my house almost a week ago. read more

This review is based on the tire center. I bought four tires online and had to wait a few days for them to arrive. I was then allowed to schedule an appointment a week out. This would have been very inconvenient if I really needed my car. My appointment was for 11:00 a.m. and I was told in my email reminder from the store to arrive 15 minutes early. So I did and ended up waiting 30 minutes to have my car checked in at the counter. There was only one person working the counter with at least six people waiting. The hold up was usually people who did not have an appointment but came in to buy new tires. I was surprised that people do not know what the make and model of their car or the year. Hence the phone call to the spouse. Then another phone call to the spouse to see if the tires they want to purchase is okay. I was told that my car would be ready in 1 hour and 45 minutes. I did not get a call until three hours later. That is just too long for someone who has an appointment. I was thoroughly exhausted and hungry. I wanted to get some air from the crowds in the mall but it was a cold winter day. I ended up sitting in Chipotle for over an hour just waiting for my car to be ready. I did do a little shopping in the warehouse but I certainly couldn't stay in there for 3 hours especially with two masks on. It was nice that next to the tire center there is parking marked for anyone dropping off their cars. I only wished they left my car there when I came back for it. I had to walk up and down the aisles until I found my car. Upon coming back to pick up the keys at the counter, I was told that Costco does not do tire alignment. What?!?! I was totally unaware and now I have to find another tire center to do this. Maybe I should have gone to NTB in the first place. I remember going to them years ago and they were able to help same day. read more

One of the less pleasant Costco locations. Tons of people everywhere I highly encourage coming on a week day instead of Saturday because of this. It is better to park in the garage than in the open parking lot. You'll find more parking there and shopping carts. They do not have gas and the closest location is Gaithersburg. Their food court is outside of the rest of the Costco next to other restaurant and not exclusive for Costco members. This is beneficial you don't have a membership but for us who do we have to wait in more long lines and all the tables are usually occupied. I love Costco so let's start the review with a 4 star. I don't think I can list all of Costco's membership benefits. There are great deals on everyday items. It is not difficult to recoup the membership cost. The biggest savings I got with the Costco membership was the auto buying program. I got a deal that was $1,050.00 below invoice. The transaction was very pleasant. The dealer was courteous. They did try to sell extended warranty and other things but it was not hard sell. Other benefits include the best car rental rates, car batteries, tires and eyeglasses. Any one of these purchases can easily save the cost of the membership. And Costco credit card, it has to be among one of the best cash back cards around. This is a smaller Costco. I love the location because it is inside a mall with indoor garage parking. There are plenty of places to eat or shop while waiting for tire installation. I submitted a couple of feedback online and a store manager actually called back to answer the questions. That is customer service that earned the fifth star. read more

I've never met a Costco that I didn't like and this Wheaton location is certainly no different. Like any good Costco, there is often as many deals as there are people. And while this is hardly the largest one I've seen, it's certainly among the most unique because why? It's located inside of a mall. Especially during weekends, the parking can be a nightmare. Sharing a lot with a huge mall does this Costco no favors. The fact the food court is right in the lobby of the mall entrance is certainly by design since one doesn't have to be a member to buy the hot food. Lines can be crazy at times, which is why they often have multiple people handling the register. If anyone working there reads this: please refill your condiment station. Also, include some onions. For the rest of Costco itself, it's about as standard as they come. There are defined sections and the prices are as consistent with other Costcos around the country. Lines were just as bad here as the weekend lines at my local Costco except the employees are a little more professional here. Most of this Costco is well laid out and clean. I stopped in here to renew my membership and make a few purchases while I was in the store. There was one employee at the customer service counter who in my opinion should not be working in customer service. We waited in line, our tern came up, we walked up to the counter she did not make eye contact with us, she didn't even acknowledge our presence. When I attempted to engage her, she abruptly told us that she is not a customer service rep although there were only two other ladies behind the counter. She proceeded to tell us to go down there and indicated with her finger by pointing where we should go. When we went down there this other lady also says we should be up there in the same line that we just left from, because she was only behind the customer service counter to assist a customer who she had been helping in another area. Needless to say neither one of these people were helpful. We missed our turn in line messing around with these two non-customer service "customer service" employees and just had to go back in line to wait for our turn to be seen by the one person who was the real customer service employee. SMDH This two star rating is specifically for this location and our experience at the "customer service" counter. Zero stars for customer service and the two stars for the limited options of items to choose from at this location. I hope everyone else have a better experience than we did, cause I don't think I'll be going back to this location although it is so close and convenient. I feel a little goofy writing a review of Costco's food court, but I'm doing it anyways. I've been a huge fan of the acai berry bowl since it was introduced--but pro tip, order it with the vanilla yogurt instead of the acai. I know it totally defeats the purpose of calling it an acai bowl because there's no longer any acai in it, but the creamy vanilla yogurt blends well with the granola, strawberries, and blueberries. It's a little more expensive than some of the other food offerings, but well worth it. The granola is amazing and includes banana chips! Today I also split a frozen mocha, taste-testing it for the first time. It definitely packs a caffeinated punch and woke me up! Tastes fairly comparable to a Starbucks mocha frapp as far as I can tell, but it's been awhile since I had one of those. This is my local Costco, the only I visit more often than my local grocery store at times. Inside the store, the lines do tend to move quickly, especially on the weekends. Moving around the store can be challenging when it's so crowded, but they staff as many registers as they can and the cashiers really know what they're doing and move people through the check-out process quickly. Otherwise, it's a fairly standard Costco. Parking is a complete mess because it's located inside the Wheaton Plaza shopping mall, so you're also competing with all the mall shoppers for parking, but that's probably the biggest downside. read more

Update - June 2019 Still takes cash, credit card and mobile payments. This place gets busy at the most strangers hours. Not sure if there is a set time or day when they are busy. I came here on a Saturday afternoon expecting the worst conditions. However, the crowds were not bad. However the lines at the food court is always extremely long and take a while to receive your order. However, the first indicator if the Costco is busy is see their lines at customer service. I came here around 4pm on Saturday and there was NO ONE in line for customer service. That was really convenient and shows either they weren't too busy or the staff who works at customer service are very fast and efficient. The lady who rang my return was quick and took less that 1 minute: On weekends, all checkout lines are open and it appears the average wait time was 5-10minutes at most. Not bad. This Costco sells practically anything you see for the house. From clothes, food, electronics, computers, jewelry, gift cards, poultry, diary, household toiletries, this place has everything. They DO move things around so the layout will change as things are put in different areas one week after another. They do this to get customers to buy more things. If you come here, have a list and stick to it. Overall, this is a decent Costco. Still am not a fan of their food court. Suggest having lines strictly for Costco members and have another line for non- members. That way, those who are paid members get the benefit of faster lines. read more

Long story short...I was asking for help ordering pizza for my daughter. We were in a hurry and the machine was not working and my kids were starving. I explained to the gentleman that worked there what was happening and he told me in front of my daughter that she doesn't look like she is starving in fact she could lay off the Twinkie's. 3/6/21 During these Coronavirus times, Social Distancing is needed. I found it crowded inside, but from what I saw, people were practicing Social Distancing. I haven't been to this Costco in a while, but it was pretty organized from what I saw...until I saw the cereal asile. This needed some work, but it also told me how busy this aisle was. A customer shopping here thought I was one of the staff members and asked if I worked here. I told I didn't work here, but showed her to the sugar aisle she was asking about. I always enjoyed helping guests when I worked at a different Costco. Great memories as a temp employee. The prices I found very reasonable, but if you know Costco, the amount of stuff you buy can add up. Still, everything I have bought at Costco has worked out well for me. read more

Costco is my go-to place to find high quality products. I specially like their meats (beef and pork). I live alone so I break down the meats into. Portions and freeze them. Also love their Bibigo( Korean brand) mandu, which is also big bag but is resealable and makes for many meals in the freezer. Their fresh produce is also excellent, specially esparagus and strawberries. Even the cheese selections are awesome, and even if the portions are big, they last quite a bit in the refrigerator. Also one of their exclusive featured products is the Mayorga dark roast "Cuban Style" coffee, which comes from a local MD roaster and is amazing! With the pandemic restrictions I like that they are very strict about enforcing mask wearing, keeping social distance, etc rules. This particular Costco (Wheaton) is always crowded so it's difficult to find parking, almost impossible if you come on a weekend. read more

There's nothing but good things to share about this Costco, located actually in a shopping mall....Wheaton Mall that is. This location has ample parking, always stays fully stocked with everything under the sun and guess what!?...This location sells a full line of organic products! Also, one added plus..... this Costco is usually empty during the weekdays. The weekends, on the other hand, can be a bit over-crowded if you are a shopper that is in a rush. In either case, the lines and checkout move fast. The only down-side is that this Costco is not loaded with booze like all the other Costcos around the DMV. But, in all...this place place has a lot of great finds and prepared meals....which comes in handy for a busy professional who has no time to cook (like myself) or large family. From fresh baked goods, prime cuts & meats, seafood....great deals on electronics....furniture....to all your main home staple needs.....this place has it all. Add all of this together.....with occasional free samples/tastings and the convenience of being able to get some mall shopping done all in one location....what more could you want!? Get a membership and try this place out....you won't regret it. It's totally worth it....whether you prefer to buy in bulk, have a large family and/or single.
