I purchased several bags of candy for Halloween, and had some left over. When I went back to return or exchange it, I was informed that they have a "no return or exchange" policy on seasonal candy. The problem? There was absolutely no signage stating this policy in the store, and nothing printed on my receipt indicating that seasonal items couldn't be returned or exchanged. It's highly concerning that they don't disclose this policy clearly to customers. As far as I know, it's actually illegal for a business to refuse a return or exchange without informing customers of their policy upfront. This kind of practice erodes trust. Dollar Tree should be more transparent with customers and properly post any policies. Consumers deserve transparency and respect. read more

Actually visited this store twice in the last 2 days and had a pretty enjoyable shopping experience! Parking lot is very spacious and rarely full like the other Dollar Tree locations. Nicely organized and staff are very polite and helpful compared to others. Been to different Dollar Tree locations around the area, but this one has to be the better store. The inventory of items are very selective and they have an ample amount of stuff in stock for the most part. Bought some cleaning supplies, kitchen items, DVD movies, holiday decors, hand sanitizers, baskets, coffee mugs and other household stuff. All for $1.25 each!!! This is the cleanest, neatest and most organized dollar tree I've been in. The staff are helpful and friendly.

Okay so this dollar tree is like the cream of the crop type of dollar tree. This dollar tree had satin bonnets, wave caps and satin wraps. Everything my brothers and sistahs need to maintain good edges and sea sickening waves! That gives this dollar tree the edge over the others. The various types of gift bags were plentiful. I bought a wine gift bag not because I needed one but I knew I would need one in the future and it's only a dollar. I also couldn't believe all of the different types of Haribo gummies they had. This location didn't have some of the beauty products I was looking for that I was able to pick up at another dollar tree in Maryland and they also didn't have any Arizonas. I feel like Arizona ice tea and associated flavors should be in all dollar trees. But for the few things they didn't have, they had a ton of other stuff. I like that they had sturdy paper bags to put your items in rather than plastic bags. If I lived close to this location I would probably here every other week. Happy bargain hunting! read more

I can anyways find something in Dollar Tree! I came in just to grab some cards and left with much more. This location is very clean and organized and the lines weren't too long. It's funny there's one less than 10 minutes away on Rockville Pike and it's like literally night and day as far as the differences. This dollar tree is a convenient store to get any essential household items from soap, snacks, cleaning supplies, cards, balloons as well as school supplies. Please note that as of July 2019, they do not have any helium to blow for balloons. There is a nationwide shortage of helium. The store tends to restock key household items everyday. They have very limited grocery supplies, but they have tons of food in cans, toys and candy here for kids. The store is fairly sized. My only compliant is that the long can be long for checkout. Management should consider bringing more cashiers here. At times, lines could take over 20mins depending on the day and time you come here. This store does sell refrigerated and frozen grocery items Pricing here ranges from .50cent to 1 dollar. So it's easy to buy many items here as pricing is minimal here. I'm actually surprised in the low rating this location has. I prefer this location to the Rockville location without a doubt! PROS: *Parking lot- huge and never full. The parking lot is shared by several other businesses but I've never had an issue *Size- Huge and open. You'll be able to browse isles without having to squeeze by other customers. *items- several items to choose from and almost always in stock. I don't think I've ever visited this location and something I was looking for was out of stock. CONS: *Movement- items are moved ALL the time. So often that even staff can't seem to locate things. It honestly seems like one employee will place an item on an end cap and the next day another employee will move it. *Check out- takes forever. There's almost always only one employee working at the registers. Countless times I've seen customers put items back because the wait is taking too long. *Frozen section- doesn't exists. I didn't realize this until I heard other customers complaining. While it doesn't effect me it clearly it bothers others. Overall I like this location and don't mind driving a mile or so past the other Dollar Tree. Well worth it! You'll be able to find some really good deals here. read more

I'm not a big candy for health & dental reason fan but i came across this limited edition dum dum lollipop are so yummy and just enough to satisfy anyone sweet tooth the limited edition flavors are. Sugar cookie, cinnamon roll, strawberry milkshake, mystery flavor, birthday cakes, caramel apple, banana split & cotton candy. One of the best Dollar Tree Stores I've found in a very long time. I drove an extra distance due to the other reviews I saw. It was well worth it. Found everything we were looking for that I couldn't at other locations. It's clean and very organized. I even found items in the kids toy and school section that I haven't seen before. Check out was super fast as I was the only person in line. The store was quiet and pleasant to shop in. Staff was very friendly. Also, love that they use paper bags with handles. Ample parking space in a small shopping plaza but not at all crowded. Open until 10 pm which is later than most of the other ones. Highly recommend this location. FYI- I don't recall seeing any refrigerated or frozen foods in case you want to purchase those items. read more

If I could give a negative star rating I would. I wanted to purchase 17 balloons. I was told they don't blow up foil number balloons or latex balloons, that I would need a pump or blow it up or to use my mouth. Fine, I went to order 15 foil star balloons and 2 foil "happy birthday" balloons, the male clerk told me the lady working would help me. She walked away and then he walked away so I stood there, the lady came back and I went to tell what I wanted and she told me no, the man was going to help. They then started to bicker about who was going to help me. I said forget and walked out. I ended up going further down the pike to another location. The guy working was awesome. This Dollar Tree is a secret hidden gem! Unlike the other one in Rockville by TJ Maxx that is always crowded and in disarray, it seems many people don't realize this one is here! They are always stocked, fairly organized and have a wide range and selection of items, especially party supplies. I occasionally visit dollar trees for party decorations, DIY and organization supplies, and always find everything I need at this dollar tree. This is definitely my favorite dollar tree in the area. read more

Not a big fan of dollar stores but once in a while you just need to go to one and browse, especially around the holidays. When I pointed out to my husband that this store is clean and neat, my husband replied "of course, it's close to Bethesda." Whatever reason it's probably, as others have said, the cleanest, most uncluttered dollar store I've ever been to. We picked up some desk items, paper clips and binder clips; a bunch of cute tins, perfect for distributing cookies to the neighbors; ribbons for decorating packages; and some books for the granddaughter. But my real prize, the item that reinforced my belief that once in a while you need to browse the dollar stores was the "Christmas Pickle Ornament", looking just like a big fat green, dill pickle. This location is the second dollar tree I've been to in the area. It is s nice size, well organized, and polite employees. Had everything I was looking for on my list. They need to take more measures for covid though. Everyone was wearing a mask and the cashiers were divided by plastic. Again their were now wipes for carts or hand pumps for hands. This dollar tree has really great selections. It's a hidden gem because the other ones around here don't have a good variety like this one. It's one of those places where you don't want people to find out so your favorite things don't go out of stock! Lol, but this place is ALWAYS packed and lines are super long, it would be a five star if they would hire more cashiers and a person to solely do balloons and be able to pay for them at the balloon register. I came for some tea light candles, & ended up doing some light impulse shopping. For an early Sunday AM, there was a light crowd, yet more employees present who were eager to assist. Each time I come here, the store is in pretty good organizational shape & clean. I have my go to items, so my visit is usually pretty quick, even if I go off my agenda momentarily. I have yet to purchase food items from here, although I still catch myself going through the isle to see what they have offer...just make sure to check the expiration date. & you can't go wrong with the Rubbermaid Plastic Containers & paper products. Yes, there may some dinged or chipped items, brands you're not familiar with or can't remember from your childhood, yet hey, you get some sort of bang for your one buck. I visited this store for the first time today and I have to say that this store beats the Montgomery Village store on contour rd, hands down! It's a lot cleaner and not as crowded and crazy. OMG!!!! The MOST rudest non professional staff EVER!!! The young man at the balloon section acted as if you where bothering him. The lady at the register was loud with a horrible accent ... Rude... Rude.... Rude. She asked me for a penny. I replied i DID NOT have.. She asked me again.. Again i replied NO.. Then she got mad.. Where did she want to pull that penny out my@$$. Ingorant!!!! Despite what many reviewers said on here, my experience wasn't so bad. I found everything that I needed and didn't need. The selection for children birthday parties is better here than any other in silver spring. Of course the Valentine's Day stuff is out and I will be back to stock up on classroom valentine stuff. It was getting a little crowded when I came in at about 1 pm and there was only one register open. Before I left, at about 1:30, they opened up another register. What do you get when you have a CVS but everything in it only cost $1 dollar..... it's Dollar Tree located at the Lohmanns plaza in Rockville. Now don't get me wrong I still hate dollar stores (Five Below are an exception to my rules I like them plus it's 5 dollars not 1, anyway my rules so there).... they give me a headache even being near one sends me reaching for the Excedrin Migraine but for some reason this particular one has me hitting four stars on the Yelp-O-Meter. Why you might ask....... well....... let me tell you something. The whole place is laid out in a nice logical order there is neatness here people with the exception to the toy aisle of course. But overall it's really neat for a discounter. Another thing is that they have some really decent merchandise very comparable to any CVS or Rite-Aid or Walgreen yes I kid you not. Of course you will find some broken items missing pieces before they even get them unpacked from the shipping box and as usual everything is made in China but that doesn't mean that everything in here is cheap-cheap-cheap in quality, I was pleasently surprised to find some real nice for the price merchandise. Wife luuuuuvs these types of places and she dragged me in here kickin and fightin but I came out a converted mansnob I have seen the light of being trifty.... well at least for this particular Dollar Tree location, DON'T get me started on the one over in 1776 Plaza ....EEEEWWWW YUCKA!!!! All-in-all we were able to buy a lot of stuff, the little stuff that you don't think of until it's an after thought. They have a great selection if you want to take the risk of being pick-pocketed. That's what happened to me here about a year ago. I was carrying a pocketbook without a zipper (a sling) and a guy tried to reach his hand in. An employee stopped him just in time. She was really brave and basically chased him out of the store. Since then, if I need to go there (for example mailing bubble packages are 2/dollar) than I have my husband go with me. The employees are friendly, I must say. It's just a shady store. read more
