Its a few Doors down from Goant and other stores near by and across the parking lot from the McDonald's . This place has a huge parking area . As you walk on you see advertised signs out front first . When youvwakk in yoy see self hekl registers to the right with soda freezers . You see to the leftvalldort of Party favor decor and Holiday decor fir your homes too . In iher iasles you see all sorts of assortment of candy shelves and smack items fir kids a d adults. In other iasles thet have Journals to kids books , Word Search books, Movie and comic poster ,Children's school items, Children's apparel , hkme decor and home goods . Im trying to help this place thrive to bring the communities back thrrs to increase business agajn in defiance of our Government thay had divided us fir too long.since the pandemic which was unlawful, Inexcusable, Unprofessional, Inconsiderate, And Wong on all levels . Its was all of us Americans to blame for the past 5 years fir the bad behaviors including management too . We need to rebuild trust in society agajn to bring our communities back together better than ever . I recently resubitred my online application fir the jib of Customer Service Cashier , Public Relations, Stock person and also car loader o help elderly and families alike that cant do it on their own . That is what satisfies me down the jib there . But I want management to acceot me for who I am to see what people like me can be for Great assets to the team there . I dint want to ne judges feared or used bad politics against without seeing whst i can do in customer service. Whst observed among most management's in stores most have been stringent, Not always having people skills, Hiding in offices away from the people when they are looked up to as role kneels. Management needs better people tgat can be in ot fir thevright reasons . I really want the ib here to make a public Relations difference to he a bridge between all different workd by all walks of life of different people . Thas the way i ese customer service bejng done . I have only been to this store on one occasion. It was as an independent retail agent to make sure that new shipments of posters and stickers are on sales floor to be sold. I met the manager. She impressed me and is a very organized and hard working person. She told me that it is an origin store and that they have a different layout than the newer stores. I spent many hours here and observed the friendly and helpful employees stocking the store and helping the customers. The store had a lot of foot traffic for an ordinary weekday. It's also a bit on the worn side in some places but well stocked and maintained. This is obviously a very popular store in the area. It is also a very fun store to look around. Until next time be kind to each other. #fivebelow @yelpdc #varietystore read more

Colorful Duck tape on sale (Yes, they have sales) 2/$5.00. I try to spend as little of my own money for school supplies, and Five Below lets me do that. There's so much to explore here. Some of the stuff is junky, but there are some real bargains here. Lots and lots of toys. Years ago when this place first came to town I thought it was a pop-up glorified Dollar Store for kids to do their Christmas shopping. Years later, it's still here, and they've multiplied in the area. I don't think I'd buy my make up here, but nail polish remover is a bargain. The young cashier was very cheerful. I think this place is best for moms looking to appease their young children, or thrifty teachers like moi. read more

Five Below - Sensory overload! - Discount Store Near Me - Silver Spring, Maryland

Manager, that was there tonight was great and her assistant were pretty good! Certain staff are more receptive, and care about customers. Some of the workers care about their job and customers read more

I absolutely adore the concept of this store. Everything under five bucks, every kid's dream! Lots of trendy and interesting items. From decorating your unique space to sports, games, music, clothes, nostalgic snacks. They have everything for a true millennial & creative adult. Sometimes I just go to look, this summer we're collecting floats and swimming equipment. They have it all!!! The space is covid friendly, shopping carts, roll baskets. Only downfall is that they usually have one cashier no matter what time I seem to come in. She provides excellent customer service, just be patient COVID and management has not been kind to her but she comes with a smile anyway. I like to come weekly to collect items for my new yoga | reiki practice that I recently became certified in!!! Anyone interested in coming outside on the Henson trail for yoga or meditation, comment below. Love to have a second opinion on tools for the practice, if you want to come shop I'm at bellecreates@gmail.com read more

This is probably the BEST Five Below I have ever been to, and I have gone to many of them not only in Maryland, but also in Ohio. I was able to find SOOOOO many things in here that I needed that I would have paid 3 to 5 times more than what I paid for it here! read more

I can't believe no one has reviewed Five Below! Well look out Yelp world, this is my new favorite recession-friendly pace to shop! The first time I was told the name of this store I had never heard of my thought was "One of those teenager clothing stores with paper clothes that cost $10 and last a week." Wrong! Then someone said, "Everything in there costs $5.00 or less." So I thought, 'Great, another tacky dollar store with incense and off-brand dishwashing detergent." Wrong again! First of all at a dollar store most items cost around a (all Harvard grads stand up and be counted) ....dollar. When you go up to 5 dollars that invites a whole new level of merchandise. Their offerings go way beyond the insece and dishwashing soap categories, not even stopping off for a passenger pickup. Second. (Never say secondly, thirdly, etc. This I learned in college NOT Harvard, by the way...) Second, Five Below does not have that mentality of "cheap stuff for cheap". They have the mentality of "real stuff for cheap" Now we're talkin'! A recent trip yielded a "Dreamgirls" DVD (unopened, unused) for the absolutely dreamy price of, you guessed it, "fi dolla." Third, Five Below is a store that is cute to look at and fun to be in. The design (and popularity) can make things a little crowded, for sure, but they have a very open plan - none of those floor to ceiling shelves that make you feel like a rat in a maze. The color scheme is great. Blacks and blues, I think. The lighting is good and cheerful. And, of course, the merchandise. Totally fun place to shop and filled with lots of good things everybody needs or wants. Some things I have puchased, seen purchased or seen on the shelves are: footballs, basketballs, Ravens sports bag, mirror and brush set, Star Wars hat and glove set, Star Wars lunchbox, candy, sodas, T-shirt, lots of toys, board games, DVDs, DS games, DS car adapter sets, need I go on? Everything is great quality. Their buyers really know what they are doing. Five Below is a place to take the kids where you can be a hero for $5 and also a place to treat yourself to a little something too. Everyone's a winner. (The next time I go I'm going to bring a stack of $5 bills and walk around saying, "I'll take that!," slapping fives on the counter like a depression era Michael Jackson on a buying spree.) P.S. The staff is really nice and well-informed here, too! read more

Poor customer service. When in the store my 4 year old had to use the bathroom very badly. I asked a clerk who told me to ask the manager (while my son was doing the "have to pee" dance.) The manager told me he didn't have a bathroom to the shocked faces of his clerks. I told him my son was 4 could we please go and he repeated his obvious lie. We did this dance one more time because I couldn't believe he wouldn't let a 4 year old use the bathroom. No luck. If this is the way management behaves, the place is in trouble. read more

Five Below - Manager with no compassion. - Discount Store Near Me - Silver Spring, Maryland

Staff was rude and yelling for no reason... there's a way to talk to your customers and that isn't it

I upgraded my phone today and decided to go to five and below for a cheap phone case. Anyway get there the line had two cashiers one cash one credit/debit which is fine line close in an hour prolly extra security I don't know.... any ways the lady that rang the debit/ credit spot was very rude to the lady in front of me and the lady was even polite to acknowledge her mistake and the lady behind the counter be littled her. Me being in sales very un professional. I get it rough day, but so does everyone. read more

this place is a tille bigger than i expected because of its location, i dont like the managers attitude though hes not polite. I asked several times about soomething i was looking for, he pretended not to understand what i was asking which i find rude, i asked a different employee and he even walk with me to get the things i needed. the place is nice i would recomend it for its products not the manager!!! read more

I love one of your cashiers. She is so kind to people and very professional at the same time. Love your stuff !

I honestly I do love this store which is why I decided to apply. I realized that they were really under-staffed and so I asked Tony, the manager if they were hiring. He told me no. About a week later I went to the store in Rockville and asked if they were hiring, and I was also told no but that the Aspen hill location was. I applied online and called the store before going in to show my face again and meet with the manager , and asked if they were hiring and I was told yes. Exciting and praying for the job, I drive to the Aspen Hill location, patiently wait in line and ask again, "Are you all hiring". I was very polite and respectful, not to mention spoke in perfect English; no slang or ebonics. He looked me in my face and told me no. Now I'm not sure if it was because of my skin color that I was lied to but it is the only thing I could think of. I mean to do absolutely everything they asked me to and to walk into the store and just be taken for a fool is ridiculous and insulting. I won't be returning to this store. I do absolutely love Five Below and encourage shopping there, I do not recommend the Aspen Hill sight though. read more

Love the franchise but not a fan of the one in Aspen Hill. It's messy and most of the staff are unfriendly. Here, you deal with a lot of the teenagers who use this place as a "hang-out" - apparently that's the cool thing to do?? And I'm pretty sure it's allowed for them since it is mostly young teenagers working in it and have their friends stop in all the time. If you're looking for a decent 5 Below, go to the Kentlands or the one Rockville Pike, right above the Microcenter. These ones are clean and spacious and the staff is much friendlier!! read more

this place has so much CRAP that i ended up spending $75 dollars also do not bring the kids here, they pick up stuff thinking hey it's only a buck, and by the end of the day they have a bucket full of CRAP they will only play with once or twice all joking aside, not everything is crap here, but most of it is worth only the 5 or less you put down for it read more

Love! The prices are awesome (obviously, haha.). The items they sell are very unique, useful, affordable, and much more. It's a great store!
