JUST NOT FOR ME I remember when this Costco first opened and I was very excited. We actually had a membership for about a year but never renewed. At the time we were members here, we were also members at Sam's Club. Most people would brag about the prepared and processed foods at Costco but those did not interest me and I don't like to purchase my produce in bulk because I prefer to hand select what I want and I can better control the quantity. I was more interested in their papers products, (paper towels, toilet paper) and those staple items that we tend to purchase most often. I found their products to be substandard to Sam's and not only that, we just did not use the membership. I just thought that it was over-hyped and never really lived up to expectations. I really was annoyed that they opened at 10am, (I don't know if this has changed), because I like to shop early and I could get into Sam's at 7:30 with my business account. I love wholesale clubs and still hold two memberships. This particular club is not horrible, it just did not work for me. read more

I gave Feedback to this Costco on one of their programs that really wasn't a value. Simple constructive criticism so they could do better. What did they do? .... Put a lock on my Costco Membership. How truly unethical and inappropriate. Some of their special programs (flyers you see on the way out) are really of no value, just another way for costco to suck your money. Boycott the Alpharetta Store. Lame and unethical. Whatever you do, don't give any negative feedback to Costco Alpharetta as they will pay you back by locking your membership! read more

Great prices and deals! The check out line can get crowded but they move as quickly as they can through the lines. Gas is also the cheapest in town which is a huge plus and open longer hours than the store. read more

Purchased the NY Strips Prime. The best steaks I have ever grilled. If you like to grill steaks, stop by Costco and purchase some Prime steaks. BTW, love the hot dogs for lunch. read more

I'm a big Costco fan. I love shopping there, and spend thousands there every year. However, the Alpharetta location has rubbed me the wrong way. I bought a product that broke not long after I started using it and went to return it. I didn't have my receipt on me and what a mistake! They looked the item up to make sure I purchased it and then refused to give me back the amount I paid- they wanted to give me $40 less! I was so irritated because, just like everyone else, I'm busy. And I don't live close enough to make a quick trip- this location is 20 minutes from home without traffic. Anyhow, I found my receipt and they returned it. But what a hassle. Honor your own return policy, Costco Alpharetta. No other Costco location I've shopped at has ever done that to me. read more

Wow the customer service here STINKS! I have never had such rude people answer questions. Where do they get these people! Costco manager, you should be careful who you hire for customer service. I will be switching to Sam's Club if this keeps up. I asked a cquestion about seafood, and the woman was extraordinarily RUDE. Let me first say that I absolutely love Costco here in Alpharetta. However, I didn't have a great experience with the tire shop. I called the day before to set up an appt and was told they were booked but if I came right when they opened I could probably get in. I showed up right at 8am. The guy asked me what tire I wanted (didn't offer a list or suggestions) and gave me a price. I then asked for another brand and he gave me that price, which was higher than the first. I then told him how much I was looking to spend and he said these are the prices you're looking at, don't have anything less. He was rushed the whole time and acted like I was a nuisance. I left and went down the street to Mr.Tire and got the same tire for $100 less and also had great customer service. The guys there were very nice and didn't try to haggle me. This Costco is not the usual Costco I go but I noticed they are selling gelato in their store where they sell their pizzas and hot dogs. I did not tried them. I was not able to find their kosher area and noticed they have renovated like the first one in Atlanta that opened in 1996 at the Perimeter Area. read more

Great Costco to shop at. Store is clean and the staff is typically very nice to deal with. I can pick up supplies for home and the office at the same store with minimal hassle and great prices to boot. The ability to get my printer ink jet cartridges refilled for about 10 dollars each is awesome and I have not had any issues. read more

Love this place. Costco is a wonderful place with lots of product offerings, well organized and in large volumes. You do have to know what you want before you go there because you can taken in by the savings in volume. We usually end up spending more than we anticipated because we see such good deals. Be prepared for large portions that may require dividing up when you get home. If you have an external freezer you will love Costco. read more

Bought a fresh looking salad from what i could see from the top of the plastic lid. I openned it up to find half of the thing is rotten. Please have your produce management be advised that your quality control is vulnerable to a rotten employee. I want my money back. read more

Shopping at Costco is an experience. I love that you find something different there all the time. I can bring my son there on Saturday and we have fun eating our way through the store with all the free samples. If we are still hungry afterwards we can pick up a delicious hot dog and drink for $1.50! While the return policy isn't as great as it used to be it still can't be beat. I'm less hesitant to try new products I find at Costco because I know, if I don't like it, I can always return it with out any hassle. The store is clean, the staff is friendly. I'm not sure I can come up with any negatives. The checkout lines can get long on the weekends, but they always move fast. read more

I've had many positive experiences with the pharmacy. I had a new medication and the staff found a coupon which lowered my co-pay for the first couple of months. The prices can't be beat and on a couple of my medications over the years their prices are less expensive then my co-pay. read more

My dad is a member and let me use his card. I went here two weeks ago with out any issues. This time they did a check to see if I was on his account. I'm not an authorized user which is totally understandable. The issue I have is with the lady that came to the check out line to tell me that I wasn't allowed to use his card was so incredibly rude. She asked me how "I knew these people" of who's card I was using. Now I don't have a super common last name and I look a lot like my dad who was pictured on the card. I totally understand the memberships aren't transferable, so I asked if I wasn't allowed to buy the stuff in my cart. She then extremely rudely asked how I would be paying for the merchandise. So I answered Visa. Not sure how it's an issue to pay with a visa but she then extremely rudely told me that I could only pay with debit. Which my visa is a debit so I showed it to her and she walked off. Let me circle back around to the fact that I fully understand that my dad is the member not me. There's just a certain level of respect a human being should have to another human being if the person shopping isn't being rude at all. Keep in mind there was a full line of people behind me. So thanks Costco for making me feel like an idiot. read more

It's a Costco. It's nothing particularly amazing. A little too crowded on the weekends to make it worth going to. The employees are pretty hit or miss when it comes to service (usually miss). I've had cashiers text/play on their phone while they are ringing up my stuff. Other cashiers are talking to the other employee loading my cart about personal topics and don't acknowledge me. There is one employee in the optical department who is terribly rude. When I told the manager she didn't seem to really care about it. I go here to get my things and get out, so it doesn't bother me too much. Mediocre service is expected at this point. read more

The Alpharetta Costco has terrible service in electronics. I walked in yesterday and the associate was working with another customer. I waited patiently for about 5 minutes and then told him "I am going to buy this Samsung TV if I can get help." The associate told me "he was busy with another customer." I asked if he could call another associate and he said "I can try." I waited another 15 minutes for help and then approached the associate that was with another customer and asked if he called someone and he said they were all busy. I told him I was going to Fryes or HH Gregg and he said "good luck!" I bought a new Samsung 55" TV and a few hundred dollars worth of cables at Fryes and got great service. This is the 2nd experience (the first I was trying to buy a $2,000 safe) where the in store lack of help made me a happy customer of a Costco competitor. read more

How do you select no stars? The pharmacy has the worst customer service associates I have had contact with. Not sure about rest of the store or the actual pharmacists, but the pharmacy could use addition training for the customer facing employees. A little politeness goes a long way. read more

Good center to get your groceries, be aware that it gets pretty busy during weekends. But I will give a 4.5 to the cumming center, of course that is far from the city and it is not as busy as this center. read more

I did not have the best experience yesterday with my cashier (Justin) and the individual whom was assisting him with the scanning of items. I watched how the woman in front of me was greeted cheerfully, conversation was made and recommendations of products were offered based on her purchase. My experience was nothing close to what I witnessed. I did not receive a greeting from either gentlemen, the only comment that was made to me besides my total was that it was time to renew my membership (in which I was aware and prepared to take care of). My experience at this Costco location did not leave me feeling "warm and fuzzy" at all and even though I work off of Windward Parkway and have to purchase monthly birthday cakes and snacks for the office I will not returning to this Costco location again. I, instead will choose another Costco location in which I have received much better customer service in the past. read more
