If you need asian food products this is the place to go. They have just about everything you need. I love the seafood dept. You can get your own seafood, put it in a bag and they weigh it for you. I bought some shark filets. I will definitely return to this store. They also sell vegetables by the case. read more

The prices for Asian groceries are cheaper than other Asian stores. They have stuff in bulk. I went on a week day so, it is not busy. People are nice and helpful. The check-out lines moved fast. Metro Chef is located at the former Babies R Us off Venture Drive in Duluth. Wholesale place that is open to the public. Cash only. They have fresh veggies and meat too. I didn't pay attention to the food section because the main reason I came there is for Snackboxe Bistro's pepper chips! They are delicious! I was able to get them when they were available at the restaurant for sale. It's like if you don't get, it's gone. Their stall is in the front in front of the cashier but more towards their right. There are three different types of pepper chips - original, cheese, range. The seaweed chips are really good too. Just by appearance, it looks like chicharrons, Best tasting seaweed chips ever! Basically the business Costco for Asian restaurants? Located next door to JusGo and right across from CostCo, this wholesale warehouse is open to the public. They carry restaurant supplies and food products. The pricing of their food products are a little cheaper if not comparable to the neighboring Asian groceries/ farmers market (I like picking up some produce here). They have a large selection of frozen seafoods and they also carry some live fish, lobsters, and shellfish. I'd recommend this place if you're looking to do some grocery shopping -- especially if you're planning to cook for a (large) group/party. Also, make sure to bring your own bags/totes (unfortunately no empty boxes for you to use/take here). read more

Great warehouse! Has tons of great options for bulk size things and foods! I wish there was more organic and wild caught options! I go here to get containers for my husband meal preps. Very handy! I have been to Metro Chef a few times but this time I had a purpose. I was with 2 other ladies and we had a long grocery list. Both of my friends enjoyed it tremendously. They have never been there before and commented that the prices were much better compared to other stores like Costco and Sam's. For instance, we saved a few dollars on the frozen cooked shrimp and imitation crab meat along with many other items. We were also trying to find fortune cookies and they have it! A big box (I believe 400) for around $11 while other Asian stores didn't carry it. My friends still talked about how much they enjoyed the shopping experience. So, if you have a list and the time to look around, give this place a try. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Yesterday I requested a case of wings, I opened them today for my cafe and saw they were the wrong wings. I called to ask them the return policy, the woman on the phone said 24hrs, not 1 day, 24hrs. So I asked what happens if I don't have my receipt, she states that I cannot return the item with their barcode on it. Now I have been to several restaurant stores and wholesale stores and all allow you to return without a receipt because my card and purchase is in their system. So a mistake was made on your part and now I am stuck with quail size wings! Thought I found a new spot for purchase. Shop there at your own risk. read more
