It's been a minute since I've been impressed with waffles. And the marinara sauce that comes with the cheese sticks oh my goodness. Probably the best marinara sauce I've had by far ! Would definitely come back to try more food. I will say I didn't care for the Mac and cheese. Mash potatoes were solid though

Food: the food is simply amazing! We went to another soul food place up the road and they were closed and boy I am sure glad they were closed because we were able to find Cassie's kitchen. The smothered chicken is phenomenal.! I like how they fry the chicken first and smother it in brown gravy. So much flavor and so good let me tell! The mac & cheese is amazing! Also, the yams are full of flavor and very tasty The white rice with brown gravy was phenomenal. The cornbread was top-notch. The next time I come, I'll try the oxtails then the pork chop chops. Amazing food with amazing customer service.! This is an easy five star review! I'm so glad I found this place! I will keep coming back for a long time

I ordered the 2 piece fried catfish plate with green beans & yams. The cashier offered a drink & dessert but declined & shared that I'm cutting out sweets. The order was placed at 1:40p, but I didn't receive it until 2:30p. Almost an hour later. After placing my order, the same cashier asked me 5-10 minutes later "what did I order" NOTE: I was the only customer there. I waited a few more minutes, then she calls me back to show me that my fish was cooked to hard & as a result they are going to remake it, so it will take another 7-10 mins. By this time I'm ready to request a refund, but I didn't. Food is finally ready. The cashier hands me a free dessert, but I declined. FOOD: The fish was good, the green beans were okay, & I didn't like the yams. The restaurant was clean & inviting. Do I plan to return? No! Would I recommend it? Sure, because the fish was good.

This place has very limited parking spots available so if you can walk here then that's probably your best bet. There are limited menu items and it seemed like all the food I wanted was only served on the weekend! I decided to give the old-fashioned a try. I will say that the food was decent, I was not a fan of the chicken sausage link, it was not my favorite. I had also asked if I can have a side of gravy, but unfortunately they only had gravy on the weekends. I decided to try the café de olla and it was very good! Overall, the service was good and the server was helpful and the spot is a casual family breakfast spot. I will have to come back and try the Mexican dishes on the menu instead!

The interior is bright, clean, and perfect for groups. There are mural pieces along the walls and lots of kid friendly toys in their outdoor patio, which is substantially larger than most restaurants, and a whole kids play area. The bathrooms are clean, which is always a plus. The food is a mix of American comfort with a touch of TexMex. One will find queso and coronodo beef but also salads, lasagnas, and burgers. This is also a place for brunch and the dessert options are in numerous. Prices are reasonable and the portions are excellent. Service is a toss up at times, along with the ability to find parking. Right now they are operating as a pop up while they get the building ready. The food was so good I visited twice in a week! So far I have tried the steak, chicken, and shrimp and you can't go wrong with any of them. The steak is my favorite but all 3 proteins have good flavor and are cooked well. The veggies included are fresh and are cooked just long enough so that they blend in with the rice and meat, rather than crunchy veggies standing out. That's a huge plus for me and something that other hibachi places don't always get right. You can order yum yum sauce, teriyaki, sriracha and ginger sauce to complement your meal. The plates are flavorful enough that you don't even need a sauce. Even the rice has good absorbed flavor from the other ingredients, without being greasy or partially seasoned in spots. One person can easily fill up from one of the single protein options, and have leftovers if you order the 2 or 3 protein options. All of the employees are friendly and helpful, and the spot is already a chill place to hang out and catch up with members of the community. I'm glad they opened up near me and look forward to my next visit.
