They even had a large selection of hot tea and the crepe brûlée roibos was a great way to end the evening. Beware!! This business added a 20% tip to my total without my authorization! I ordered one drink, and when I paid through Apple Pay, my total was $11.91with tax included. However, this morning, almost a week later, I noticed they changed my total to $14.29, adding a 20% tip. I have screenshots to prove it. This is completely unacceptable. The patio ambiance was nice, but the setup is entirely self-service. You have to order your drink online then walk to the bar to pick it up your own self. For them to add a 20% tip for a drink I retrieved myself is unbelievable. This is not ok!!! If they aren't willing to pay their staff properly for basically nothing, the least they could do is be upfront about these shady charges with a disclaimer on their site. OMG I really loved this spot! There are both indoor and outdoor seating. A plethora of outdoor seating but limited indoor seating. Given the pandemic, why would you want to sit indoor anyway? This place only sells coffee and beer. The bartender recommended the boozy coffee. It had a strong taste of tequila and coffee. Quite the interesting blend. My boyfriend got the Lone Star IPA which tasted pretty smooth. There was free wifi which was great for people to work or study outside with some coffee, booze, or, perhaps, the boozy coffee. Leroy and Lewis BBQ kept putting 'sold out' stickers on their menu as I waited in line. I got the sandwich which was $17 and while it was good I felt overcharged. Cosmic is a vision! I love this place so so so much. Really, it's one of my favorite places in Austin. It's the best cause I can take friends or simply hang with a book or my iPad. Such a cool bar. Fun outdoor area with a fenced area for chickens, a coy pond and plenty of bench seating. To avoid contact or prolonged times at the bar inside, they use an app, TabbedOut, to order and pay. For the craft beers that's especially nice because it gives you plenty of time to figure out what's on the menu, and flavor you should expect from some of the odder names. Discovered this place after eating dinner at Loro. And I must say that this is the spot to go if you are wanting to just grab some drinks, food, and hangout. It's super unique, this bar is actually located within a "food truck park" as what I would describe it. Walk in thru the gate. Do note that someone will check that you are 21+ before entering and give you a wrist band (we went on a Wednesday night). You go in and order and take your drink to the outdoor seating area. There are seats around a fire pit, if you wanna sit at a table, they have plenty of tables outside and you get a cool "rainforest cafe" ambience since there is a small waterfall. Also, if you are hungry, there are a couple food trucks you can grab a bite from. Let's talk about their most popular drink: the Boozy Frozen Coffee. If you like the taste of coffee infused with alcohol, then give this drink a try. The bartender commented that there are several nights that they make a majority of their sales on just this drink along. It was that night that I determined that I'd rather drink my coffee and alcohol separately, but if you are down to explore a different taste, not a bad thing to try. Overall, great experience! What a lovely surprise this was! I had never been but had always heard about friends stopping by Cosmic and now I understand the hype! Took our family friends from out of town here on a whim and we absolutely loved it. Loads of parking around the place, they have their own lot as well as street parking all very close proximity! When you walk up there is a massive outdoor seating space with beautiful water displays, landscaping, string lights, you name it. Not to mention the delicious food trucks (there was a Mexican taco truck and wing truck when we were there - unsure if they switch them out). If you don't want to enjoy the outdoors there's also a lovely indoor space that reminded me of an old log cabin. Aside from food the more fun part is the drinks of course! Cosmic offers coffee, speciality cocktails, and a wide variety of beer and cider - seriously so many options to choose from! For fall they had pumpkins and cute decor everywhere, absolutely loved it. You did not have to wear a mask walking around, but had to when going inside the bar. But I saw most people wearing masks when walking around which made me happy. Disappointed to find only one food truck open, a Mexican spot. We ordered some tacos, chips, salsa and guac. Their chips were that perfectly lightly crispy, thin chip but could not hold up to the really chunky guacamole. Constantly breaking. All the food warr flavorful and tasty. There were pretty long lines at the two that were open when we were there during Sunday brunch hours, so I would keep that in mind if you're super hungry. Such a cute place! I can see now what it's so popular. One thing to note is that there is quite a bit of parking, but it shares a parking lot with the climbing center, so parking can be difficult.
