This place is awful. They lack professionalism, skill, and have no compass of customer service. My car is actually worse having been here. They had my car for over 15 months and actually caused more damage on my vehicle then what they fixed - they ripped my seats, broke all kinds of panels, missing parts, and the completed weather stripping installed is clearly flawed. Their work is sloppy and subpar. My door panel isnt seated correctly after $6200+ in work.Then when brought this to their attention, they said 'I am a customer they could never make happy' and Bob got in my face. My advise to anyone doing business here: - Document your vehicle before you drop it off - pictures and video inside and out. Also, document throughout the process. They will try and say damage was existing when things break. - Stop in and check on your car - you will see parts scattered all over your cup holders and vehicle. They had parts wedged into the glove box of my car with the lid closed causing permanent bends in the plastic lid. Dirty shop rags and paper floor mats in the hatch area. - Get everything Bob says in writing. He is a career used car sales man in a service roll; and it shows. He doesn't care about your vehicle and will blame others on his team when the job goes sideways. He will bill you for unauthorized work 'to make it right' - Read through your quote and final invoice. DO NOT let them charge you for any unauthorized work or inflated labor hours from your quote - Hold them accountable for any unsatisfactory work. No one comes to this place to save money. Unfortunately, there isn't any tech in this place who is organized or skilled enough to do quality work. They have constant turnover of their staff which has them dropping the ball for skill and timelines. - Make sure you get your original parts back. Some of the aftermarket parts they get are not 1 to 1 matches. I had them replace my leather shifter pouch and the one they put on is not a match. I'd actually prefer my old one back on, but was never given it. I had to argue with Bob to get some of my original parts back; of which, this pouch and other parts are missing. So I don't really know how to review a car dealership, especially one where I didn't purchase or repair a car. That being said, I'll give it five stars for the coolness factor and for the selection of quality cars and an immaculate showroom with passionate owners. I'm from a car buff family, and I married a car buff. I've been around cool cars and hot rod cars since I was a kid. I don't know much about corvettes, other than the fact they are really amazing to look at...especially the vintage ones. We met up with a friend at their recent open house, and we were were immediately whisked away by one of the owners for a detailed tour. Michael was welcoming and knew the background on each one of the cars. He said most of their purchases come in via the Internet...who knew? I couldn't keep my eyes off the vintage beauty that was currently being auctioned off...an old barn find. Doesn't the repair shop remind you of a scene out of Fast and Furious? Burr Ridge is far, and this dealership is a bit hidden, but it's so worth the visit if you're into cars or in the market for a real classic beauty! read more

Our Classic 1975 Stingray has been in our family since it was purchased new, right off the assembly line. Although it was always in a heated space, the years took it's toll. We discovered Bob at Corvette Mikes after years of dealing with unqualified and inexperienced repair shops. Bob and his team of dedicated and knowledgable craftsmen restored our family heirloom to it's original state all while communicating with us through the entire restoration process. Corvette mike has changed ownership .Took my car and didn't know they had it there three days and didn't complete all work.Don't have GM tech tools to work on corvettes so they where going to farm out work down the street but not tell me my car was leaving property. I dealt with Corvette Mike's over the years as an owner of a classic Corvette. So, when it came time to sell my car I consigned it with them. I first talked with Bob S I asked him how does the consignment work and what are the financial arrangements for both parties. " I will give you a range of the estimated value of the car and you would let me know what the lowest price you would take for it. We will charge you $495 to sell the car and perform a safety inspection." (I asked for a copy of the safety inspection but they would not provide it.) "Come in and do some paperwork and we will sell the car." Thinking that the minimum was the lowest they would negotiate down to turned out to be the only amount they would pay me. Corvette Mike's never called me to update me on any matter the entire 180 days of the agreement unless I called and left them a message to call me. After not hearing from them for nearly two months I call them to find out what the status was since I no longer saw the car listed on their web site. As it turns out, I believe they significantly low-balled the price estimate to me in order for me to agree to a lower price. Within about a month after dropping my car off, the car was sold to a existing customer for an amount significantly above the price range they provided me, all within a month. Realizing what had happened I agreed to accept the terms of the agreement and asked them to do the same. The agreement calls for them to pay me within 20 days of the sale of the vehicle so I asked to be paid. At this time they verbally changed the agreement, without my consent, and instead of paying based on the "sale" date as indicated in the agreement, they changed that to "delivered" date and refused to pay me the agreed amount. At the expiration of the agreement they would either have had to pay me or return the car. It took them five months to "deliver" the car. The agreement had expired and they still refused to pay me. It wasn't until I threatened to file a police report that Dylan L agreed to "do me a favor and get me paid." He was doing me a favor after having the funds for nearly five months and changing the agreement. When I first went to consign the car with Corvette Mike's I looked up the bio of Bob S. on their website. Basically he was an old school guy, pen and paper, and his word is how he operated. Clearly this was not my experience. When Dylan was to do me a favor, I looked him up on their website. Not surprisingly, they no longer have bio's for their staff. I had a lot of documentation and other parts that I accumulated over the 17 years of ownership that I was going to pass along to the new owner. After learning how Bob S. and Dylan L. operated I decided to keep what I had. Lesson learned; this is not your Corvette Mike's of old. I feel integrity is no longer part of their vocabulary. I don't have a review, but rather an inquiry. I had stopped in to see this showroom. I was surprised to see very little in terms of Corvettes inside. I will be in the market in a year or two. I spoke Bob, the Corvette Mikes sales person. He was informative, and told me he would be available to assist me in finding me a Corvette. I will certainly be in to touch with Bob. I did want to know, if the same Corvette tech team was still at the facility. It seems that the new owners, are no longer specializing in Corvette service, or interested in displaying Corvettes for sale on the floor. New local owners, new General Manager, porters...first class. They have always been the most knowledgeable classic Corvette staff in the area. Within 3 weeks of dropping it off we received a check that was very close to what we thought we could get for the car selling it on our own. I own three classic cars and have bought and sold many over the years. So this isnt my first rodeo as they say. bought a 1957 Thunderbird from Corvette Mikes Midwes.t. They were not honest about the car and it appeared nice in the photos and the walk around, however when I received the car it was a different story. The radio, the gas gauge, the clock, the temperature gauge, and the speedometer either didn't work or had the wrong parts installed. Also the top canvas top was not first quality. The.paint was not as shown in the walk around.it had all bubbles in the area around the rear deck. The front end was a mess, meaning the underside needed parts. Worn out. The brakes pulled to one side. I'll take the blame for buying a car without power steering. I paid top dollar for this car and although They gave me a few hundred dollar discount, I had to spent a thousand to make this right and it's still not right. I've ow 3 of these early birds in my life and this by far is the worst. I can understand it's an old car and had many old car thing wrong with it, but Im complapining about the lack of honesty when I bought the car.Covid prevented me from flying there and checking it out myself. Don't be fooled by the pics and video assessment of anything you buy there. Youll be disappointed. read more
