If I could give them 100 stars I would. I was told by another auto shop here in town I needed all this work. I was Leary, it just didn't sound right. Anyway I ordered the parts but something told me to bring the car to AD Joliet and hv them put them on. I dropped my vehicle off with parts and all. Chris called me and stated, you don't need any of this. I was shocked, and ever so grateful for his honesty. He could hv put those parts on and charged me, however he didn't. I'm forever grateful of his honesty and the fact that he isn't trying to rip off everyday people like myself. If you're looking for a good honest mechanic, you won't be disappointed. read more

This is the best mechanic shop. They do good work and are honest Polish men. I will be back!

Great and honest service. Fixed a flat tire, topped off my oil, but refused to be tipped. Showed me my brakes and recommended they be changed in the spring. Doesn't care where I go to fix them but wanted me and family to drive safe. Will now be my go-to garage. read more

This is my usual spot for all my car needs, and I've never had a problem before. However, this time, I took my car for a tune-up. I had money in my car (which I've done many times at this place with no issue), but it was gone when I went to pick it up, so this will be my last time coming here. read more

My wife's 2003 Saturn started making noise from the back brakes. Took it to my usual garage where he made up $4,000 in REPAIRS. Tried AD instead where they put all new brakes on back plus an oil change for $500. They will be my go to place from now on. read more

Chris and his staff are courteous, FUNNY, friendly, and very GREAT at providing service. He fixed a simple issue that was should have cost me 100-150 dollars. He used WD 40, a screw driver and box wrench to fix the issue. And showed me exactly what was wrong. Refused a cash tip as well. That's Hallmark service! read more

I needed some brake work, and searched at 5 different places in Joliet. I chose this one, and am so thankful that I did. Not only was the work excellent and at best price, but Chris the owner showed me the worn brake parts and why i did not need to replace the caliper. He saved me hundreds of dollars of unnecessary work that other shops had suggested. The only difficulty here is being able to get a slot for your work; they are very busy, but will try to assist if they can. read more

Honest mechanics, excellent service! Didn't try to sell me in things I didn't need!!!

A good mechanic is hard to find, but boy am I glad to have been referred to this place. They are very reasonable, and reliable mechanics here. I have been here twice with issues on my vehicle, and they helped me out. I got a new AC compressor, and a tuneup here. My service engine light came on, and I freaked out as usual. I just needed wires changed. I appreciate the honesty of these mechanics. Many will try to rip you off. Check em out! Until next time....... read more

I started coming here for auto repairs several years ago and had good experiences. Then last year they charged me $500 for a water pump where they also removed the AC compressor and put in a replacement pully that they did not line up properly, it was visibly misaligned. The serpentine belt squealed badly on startup and they said it would quiet down. It took under a mile for the serpentine belt to fly off. They did not credit me with a core charge for the AC compressor. A second trip in did get the pully aligned. Then a few months later I went in for wheel bearings on the front. There were bad squealing noises on right turns afterwards, immediately. It took two more trips to their shop to get the wheel bearing fixed properly. I'm feeling like I need to find another shop. read more

Went to AD for the first time yesterday after reading all the favorable reviews on here. Excellent service, very reasonable pricing and trustworthy . I will be a repeat customer for sure. read more

This is my 3rd vehicle that I had them repair. Obviously, if they were bad, I'd not have gone back a second time, let alone a third. Very, very good at their work. And I highly recommend them. read more

Let me start by saying, Chris the owner, is the most Honest, Respectful, and all around great guy. He will tell you exactly what's wrong, and what "needs" to be fixed. The prices are SUPER fair, and the work is #1! If you have ANY issues with your car, trust me this is the place to go!!! It's so hard to find a trustworthy and budget friendly mechanic, Auto Doc is a diamond in the rough.... read more

I was in a bind during a long haul drive back in April when my vehicle sustained some body damage (dislodged wheel well cover) before I arrived to Joliet, IL for my overnight stop. I spent the evening of my arrival calling local dealerships trying to price the fix and appointment availability. I was not able to find an appointment that would give me the ability to maintain my trip schedule so opted to try AD based on Yelp reviews. I arrived first thing the next morning and met with the owner. He advised because it was a body issue he may not be able to fix it but was willing to take a look. He took my car in immediately and had a technician review the damage. He indicated he could provide a fix that would get me more than safely to my destination with no further issue. He advised the technician on the repair which was completed within minutes. The owner completed the repair and insisted on no payment from me. I was literally in tears and humbled by his act of kindness and generosity. He alleviated my fears and ensured I arrived to my destination safely. Thank you AD for your help in fixing my vehicle and generous kindness. read more

What a good feeling to know you have a mechanic you can actually trust! I sent my son there with his PT Cruiser on the recommendation of a friend. He got outstanding service. The repair was actually a little LESS than the quote, and he was told what he needed repaired but could hold off on for a while for his budget. I have talked to him about my VW. We were impressed by his extensive knowledge and enthusiasm for VWs in general. I just called him to set up an evaluation for it, should I replace or repair? When I told him I had a quote from the dealership, he started laughing. He got where I was coming from immediately. I am bringing it in next week because he's too busy this week, and I can see why! read more

I had my car taken in and Marek did a great job on the car. It was done professionally and my dad really did enjoy the service. I would definitely recommend them because they do amazing work. The boss Krzysztof did a good job on my oil change. read more

I LOVE THESE GUYS! I've been going to Auto Doc for 8 yrs, I have an 2001 Mitsubishi Galiant with almost 200,000 miles on it. These guys are the only reason it still runs and that I can depend on it! They are honest and reasonable.. I seriously doubt that you're going to find a better garage! Stop looking~just call them!!! read more

I needed brakes for my Mercedes CLK55 AMG and I went to the Mercedes dealership and was floored by the price they quoted me. I came upon Chris, the owner of AD Automotive and called him to inquire about pricing. While it was expensive, it paled by comparison. Chris personally changed my rotors and pads and gave me an overview of my car's condition. He is THE most honest and professional owner/mechanic I have ever ran across. I have been back for 2 other mechanical needs and I couldn't more happy with his work! I highly recommend Chris for any auto repair that you need...you wont be disappointed! read more

I cannot say enough nice things about this shop and the owner, Chris. It's not often you find such an honest mechanic. He charges less than anywhere else, and he does thorough work. On a couple different occasions, he's fixed tiny stuff on my car just because he saw it while fixing something else. I will never take my car anywhere else for the repairs he offers. read more

Recently used AD for a brake job and they were just awesome. I spoke with Mark on the phone prior to arriving and he gave me a quote, much lower than surrounding shops for a better quality product. I arrived 10 mins later and they got me right in. Not only that, but it was 90 degrees out and they offered to drive my kids and I home so we didn't have to sit and wait for 2 hrs. They were kind and respectful and i can't wait to use them again for any car issues/tires/oil change etc. please tell Mark we sent you!! read more

Most reliable and cost effective guys in town! Tony is great to work with. These guys know their stuff. And never felt taken advantage of.

great place, great people, perfect service. would recommend to everyone! My transmission was bust and the owner offered amazing service with a great deal along with it and has always proved to be not only a man of his word but an outstanding mechanic 10/10 read more

Mark did an amazing job fixing my car! Outstanding service! He went above and beyond to get the job done perfectly. Definitely would recommend and would only go to him next time! read more

I needed brake work done on my car so I read reviews on Yelp of businesses in Joliet that do such work. Auto Doc had wonderful reviews so I gave them a chance. I am glad I did. They were very nice and gave me a good price and completed the work earlier than promised. I also had an engine code issue that they checked for me and they printed out the explanation. I asked if the problem is covered under my extended warranty and he said it is and that I should make sure the dealership does it. He could have said, "no I don't think it is covered" and convinced me to let them do it, but he didn't. I would not hesitate to have Auto Doc work on my car again. read more

Alex and company are just so incredible. They tell you what is wrong with your car and do not try to bilk you out of money. I have been coming here for years And I have never had a problem. The mechanics here are a great group of guys that are honest as the dAy is long. I will never go anywhere Else. Last time I was here my check engine light came on. I took it here And Alex checked it out for me. Turns out the light was on because I didn't tighten my gas cap. Cost me nothing. Admittedly, that was a little embarrassing but I'm so glad i took it here. read more

What a relief - and answer to prayer - to find this business! My wife was driving to Detroit, alone with our 15-month-old daughter, to visit family. Near Joliet the car started to overheat; she called me, I did a quick search on Yelp and came across these guys. My wife gave them a call - they said come right over and they would help her immediately. That's just what they did - found the problem (fins on radiator had bent), fixed it for a very reasonable price and far more quickly than they had originally thought, and sent her on her way. This is one of those scenarios that often are nightmares; repair shops taking advantage of someone in a vulnerable situation, parts that take days to arrive, mechanics pushing repairs that aren't needed, etc. Fortunately for us it couldn't have turned out better. I would give this place 10 stars if I could; highly, highly recommended! read more

I have had these guys work on my car twice, they are fast, reasonable, and HONEST! In both cases they understood that not everyone can overpay on a repair to keep an older car running. They went over the options I had, and got the car in tip-top condition in a day. I will send everyone I know to these guys. read more

The owner of this place was so very rude...I had my Kia Sorento pulled up there and talked to two very nice guys who worked there..When I called the next day the owner answered and I told him I was inquiring about my car..He stated that my engine was torn apart and missing some parts..I said no sir my friends husband who happens to be a mechanic just looked at it..He stated well you have to give me $150 for me to put it back together then I can go from there and let you know what the problem is?? So I hung up and called my friend to tell him what he said and he said ask him how much for labor and is there a warranty on parts..I called the owner back and asked him this and he actually went ballastic!! He told me he did not want to do the work and for me to come and pick my truck up?? I said you are being very unprofessional and he said can you just come get your vehicle..I do not know what I said that would warrant this type of behavior but I know a lot of people in Joliet who I will let know NEVER go to this place of business!! The owner is Shiesty!! I wish I did not have to push the 1 star but you have too. read more

I gave this place 2 stars because of the service but other than that I dont trust anything about this place. I have brought 2 different cars to this place and both came out with more damage than they went in with. Ironically both cars had the exact same problem after being serviced here. Never again!!! read more

This place is fantastic I would recommend it to anyone who is having car trouble in Joliet! I was making a trip but I had to stop in at Joliet because my car starting shaking and I could barely get over 40mph. I looked at the reviews and called a couple mechanics to see if they good look at it this late in the day. Sure enough I call these guys and they got me in right away and had the problem with minutes. A spark plug was miss firing and a gasket was leaking. This was around 4:30 and there were able to fix it by 5:45!! Amazing guys work there A+++++++++ read more

Theses guys are great and above all they are honest!!! They know what they are doing, they are not just "part changers".

Brought my car in to have its breaks checked after hearing some squeaking. The folks at Auto Doc were super friendly and were able to look at my car as soon as I dropped it off the next morning. Within a couple of hours they called to let me know that the pads were fine and the occasional noise was just a little corrosion on the rotors. Best of all they charged me nothing to look at it! I will definitely be going back to Auto Doc when I actually need work done! read more

Love this place! They are so honest, fast, and reasonably priced. They explain everything that's wrong with your car & how/why it needs to be fixed. I always get my oil changes done here for $25 which certainly beats the $40 oil changes at Jiffy Lube. I will not take my car anywhere else! read more

This place is AWESOME! Really know their stuff and they don't overcharge or do unnecessary work just to pad the bill. Highly recommend!
