I was at Discount Tire in Joliet with my sister today. She had a flat tire and she got her tires there 7 years ago. Even on a busy Saturday they squeezed her in. The staff was amazing, helpful, and very professional. We had been waiting hours when a very Grumpy man came in he skipped the line sat down, then he got up and became demanding. He had a 4:00 appointment he wanted to know when his car would be done. They explained all 4 bays were full. They would get to him as quickly possible. He became loud and belligerent. What good was an appointment if you had to wait. They calmed him down and he sat back down. Minutes later he was back at the desk They explained 2 of the bays were almost done there was another 4:00 appointment then he would get be next. The complaints started again he was never coming back. The assistant manager Michael walked up to another customer and asked even though Jack had been there first would he give Grumpy who's name I never heard his spot. Jack agreed I thanked him for all of us. Minutes later grumpy was at it again. The staff again over to calm him. Yelling demanding obnoxious. I asked why he didn't stop being an ass and let them work. He became Vulgar and aggressive. Michael Perry, and Jack stepped between us. When he finally sat down the manager came over to let him know they wouldn't be fixing his car. He had been disrespectful of they rest of us, and continued being disruptive. They returned the money he paid. As my sister's car was finished Michael, and the person who brought her car around stepped out with us and apologized. We told them the staff had been nothing but professional and awesome. Again thank you, to Jack, Michael and all the mechanics we saw working so hard through the waiting room window. My sister is planning to go back for 4 new tires and will use the 1 from today as a spare. read more

Got my tires changed and decided to drop off the vehicle since I didn't know how long it would take. I was able to snag the first appointment, so they took my car right away. My husband and I weren't done eating our breakfast when I got the text that my vehicle was ready to be picked up. About 40 min. After shopping around for about two weeks, Discount Tire seemed to have comparable prices to other tire stores. As my husband and I weren't done eating driving last night, we noticed a rattle while going around 55 mph, meaning the weights on the tires are off and need to be adjusted. So now, I have to go back and have them fix that. Something that should have been tested and done correctly before it came off the lift. Otherwise, an ok experience. read more

My experience went great! I was recommended to come here by Christopher P., he was very helpful and friendly to help find the right tires! They replaced my 2 rear tires for a very good price in the area. They also finished pretty quick I wasn't waiting long at all, went to a store nearby and it was ready when I was back, overall great experience! read more

Check tires for defects, nails, Rim leaks, defect in the tire, etc. Quality of the tires suspicious. Phil you OK the price was OK bud. Didn't get the tires I asked for. Shove me into some other tires which I wasn't crazy about but seem to be OK to this point. read more

Always had great service until now. Have been a customer for years. I am now on day 10 without my car because they severed my brake line. Now their insurance, Fleet Response, is deciding if they want to cover the damage. read more

I went in November '24 with a slow leak in my tire. These were tires purchased at Discount. i ended up replacing the tires because of mileage and a trip I had coming up. the salesman assured me they would take care of the leak. A week later I was back in with the leak again. i was back 3 times over the next 3 months with no fix. The last time after almost 2 hours waiting I was told I needed a new rim. The tech said they water tested it. I asked if they removed it and reseated the tire. He told me it wasn't necessary. I took the truck to another service place. They removed and reseated the tire. They told me that there was a leak at the balancing weight. I've been driving now for a month with no leak. I'll never go back or recommend the Discount Tire on Rt. 30. read more

I have a 2022 mustang and have premium rims and they completely damaged them and chipped them.

Had a bubble on one of my tires. Had salesman tell me I needed 4 new tires. Dealership and DT Jefferson Street location said I only needed one but recommended I replace both front tires, which I did. My gut told me he was trying to pull a fast one. He lost a sale because of dishonesty. Will never return to your store. read more

The service manager John went well above the call of duty he pointed out to me the tires I bought had a 50,000 mile warranty and the actual miles used was 25,000 miles and he gave me a 50% rebate towards my 4 new tires. Thank You for being Honest John and going out of your way even in the rain to look out for your customers best interest. This place is the best. You are always greeted with a smile, they don't try to upsell you. Get your tires there? You get your rotation for free. Have a flat? They will fix it for free. read more

Got me in and out quickly. Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable. Great pricing too!

This place was a total life saver! I had a low tire and I needed help sealing it up. All of the other locations were busy but not this location, I got my appointment scheduled and taken care of the same day! Didn't take too long either. Thank you so much discount tire Joliet for your help! read more

Came in to replace my tires as it was just time. I ordered the wrong size. Not only did Edgar and Tony keep me updated, they went above and beyond with getting me a better tire for the same price. Tony took the time to explain my options and ask me about my driving habits to ensure I received the best tires for my needs. I will continue to come here for all of my tire needs! read more

Plainfield/Shorewood Hidden gem. Current staff and management have been amazing. Haven't brought them a problem they haven't been able to fix quick, affordable, and I have had no issues since. I still bring my vehicles for allignment and tire rotation frequently cause they knock it out quickly with no issues. Come for the work stay for the staff. read more

Today, this location restored my faith in the Discount Tire chain. My last two experiences with the service at different stores left much to be desired, but this location offered competent and professional representatives, quick service, and a virtually contactless process. The Jeep is driving smooth, and I am worry-free for another 10,000 miles. Thanks to the DT team here. You are the gold standard for service in my book! read more

I used to be very happy with this location. They took good care of us. However this past year something has changed and the customer service has really sucked. Numerous times I've waited 10 or more minutes to get air in my tires (ones it was 25 min). I also came in for a flat repair and after I went home I noticed one center cap was missing and on another the emblem had fallen off. When I brought the car back they said they would only replace one and the other wasn't their fault! I had to wait almost 2 months for the new center cap to come in...not sure why since I could find them new online and get them within a week. Also, one of the employees behind the desk has had a really bad attitude every time I've come in and delt with her. Very unprofessional! Sad to say but I will find another location to go to in the future unless something changes with their customer service. read more

Always a great experience at Discount. Many of the services are free such as rotations and balances. I always buy my tires from here because of the affordable prices and superb staff. Thanks for the years of service read more

Once again, the Discount Tire flip flop. I came in to purchase rims and low and behold they find something wrong with a tire (that of course requires a new tire). First it was that my tires are from 2012, I had to tell them I didn't care. Then they find another issue that "store policy" requires a replacement tire. I can't imagine how many people they do the same thing to time and again. They refuse to re-mount my tire as it was when I arrived at the store. Subsequently this only wastes time, what was to take about 45 minutes is now on an hour and a half. I'm leaving with something I don't want and not leaving with what I came in for. Typical of Discount Tire to always try the upsell. After many years of doing business there I never will again. read more

I appreciate the customer service at my local Discount Tire. Due to the weather and temperature fluctuation my tires seemed low. I stopped by my local Discount Tire for a quick pressure check. Although there are several shops in the area I visited the Joliet location on my way to work for a quick tire pressure check and the tire guys were fast & friendly. Did I mention the tire check is free? Let's be honest, there is not much quality for free these days! I especially appreciate a business adding a little extra service to go the extra-mile for past, present and future customers. Thanks to Discount Tire for being a resource to our community. read more

Always get good service here, Paul the mgr runs things efficiently and with a smile. He will usually have time for a brief chat. Ive known him for years. Great guy. The staff changes occasionally but all are very pleasant and thorough. Sometimes their prices are a bit high but the service is worth it along with the lifetime rotation and balance. They also seem to always have what you need or obtain later the same day. Good place. Good chain. I do prefer doing business at this location as long as Paul is here read more

So, I needed to have the tires on my truck replaced. I looked everywhere, even checked to see if the dealership where I bought my truck would have some deals. Nope. Luckily, I found Discount Tire. My tire was losing air, I was hoping it just needed to be filled. When I arrived to Discount Tire it lost all air. I had to be to work in less than 2 hours. They got me in immediately. The service I received was awesome. I highly recommend them. They got me in and out quickly and I made it to work on time. I appreciate their effort knowing my situation. read more

I tried other places, like Sams, don't waste your time. The tires might be slightly cheaper but the service and quality you will lose. Next time I need tires, I will only go to them. For example, I had a nail in my tire, this other place told me to make an appointment for 2 weeks away. Really? And their staff are not really trained properly to work on a vehicle. read more

Found a nail in my tire. They had it plugged in under 30 minutes. NO CHARGE. Thank you DT.

This is the only place I'll be going for tires now. I waited too long on getting a new one and it was about to pop , called all around my town and either no one had the one I needed in stock or it was 250$ + for just one. Couple of my coworkers told me about this place so I gave them a call, we went to the one of Jefferson first (the one I called and said they have it in stock), got all the way there for them to tell me they never talked to me but the other store has the ones I need in stock. So we drove over there with fingers crossed, and Lawrence was nothing but amazing and helpful with everything. Didn't try to over sell me and or take advantage of the fact I was a female and don't know anything about cars. I felt so welcomed and couldn't be more grateful. Also they filled my tires up and I didn't even ask! read more

They've always been helpful and up front with me through the years. Staff was engaging and kept me up to date. The waiting area was clean; one guy was out there cleaning the rims. I didn't know tire balance and rotation was free when you got your tires there. Went in expecting to pay and was pleasantly surprised when I didn't have to. It eased the pain a felt about a year earlier when I went in for a tire leak that couldn't be repaired and had to drop $650 for 4 new tires as they didn't have a configuration that would work for my AWD. Son was stoked to check out the race car parked outside during NASCAR weekend. read more

The sales people are very knowledgeable about tires. Getting discounts from them takes some coaxing. For the tire that I purchased, they were not willing to give any discounts. However when the assistant manager Fidel saw it was cheaper online, he matched the price. Customer Service is good and they treat everybody with respect. The sales team and tire technicians are in constant communication with each other. From what I saw they give timely updates to customers who are waiting for their cars. read more

PROS: I bought front tires today because they needed to be replaced. I asked for them to look at why my wheel wobbled when I drove.
