I had a VERY bad experience with Firestone Complete Auto Care and I will NEVER be going back. I went there because my car said "Service Power Steering." My car has never had any problems before, so I didn't even know what that meant. The guy told me to leave it and come back later and they'd let me know what was wrong. When I came back, they gave me a huge list of things "wrong" with my car, which already didn't sit right with me because again my car was perfectly fine before I came there. I was planning on getting a second opinion, but before I could even do that, my car stopped turning on completely. It just started making a slow ticking noise. Come to find out, ALL of the oil in my car was GONE. That does NOT just happen out of nowhere. I had a good amount of oil before I brought my car there, and somehow right after I leave, it's magically empty? Why was my oil even taken out in the first place? The only thing I can think of is to try to "prove" I had an oil leak which makes zero sense. That is extremely dangerous. You can literally destroy someone's engine or put them in a dangerous situation doing something like that. As a woman, that whole experience felt disgusting, disrespectful, and like I was being taken advantage of. I don't recommend this place AT ALL. Be very careful bringing your car here. The people working on my car and the guy I spoke to can honestly go to hell for that. Yall are lucky IF I don't file a damn police report on yall ass! KISS MY ASS! read more

Workers think they own vehicles and feel they can Rev engines and do what they want to them because it is a nice vehicle. Could of blew my engine. When it was brought to managers attention on what his worker was doing he made excuses for him saying he was checking out my engine. I just had 4 tires replaced at this Weber Rd location and I'm so glad I did. After researching on line I had decided on a certain tire from Firestone and had an idea as to the price range. I called this Firestone store first since it's quite convenient to my house. I dealt with Scott initially and I learned their regular price was were I expected. But upon learning I was in no hurry, he suggested I wait one week until a promotional sale would kick off. So I made my appointment for the following week. Once there Paul took care of me for the service. When done, he assured me my brakes were still in good shape so there was no up selling here. I wish I could give Firestone in Romeoville zero stars. I bought a full set of new tires in early 2022, only two years old at this point. Not to mention, I spent a lot of money on these tires. The tires should have lasted me at least 4 years if not more. But because of the incompetence of these technicians, I have to buy another full set of brand new tires. The last time I went here for an oil change they told me that my tires were wearing unevenly and I will need a new set of tires, again. I was shocked, angry, etc. When I asked why I needed another new full set of tires their response was, "yea that shouldn't happen." Once I went home I looked through all of my paperwork from Firestone from past oil changes and there were several occasions that they did not rotate my tires. Every time I called for an appointment for an oil change I always said I would like my tires rotated, they always said no problem we can do that for you. Clearly they lied to me and decided to ignore my routine request. And now due to their incompetence I will have to get a new full set of tires. And spend another small fortune to make sure my car can last me another few years, safely. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE, RUN FAR AWAY. There are plenty of other auto care shops around that actually do their jobs the correct way and plenty of shops who don't charge an arm and a leg for normal routine services. I would give a zero if I could. I am not from Romeoville so I did not know better. I bought a car through Carvana and must go through an approved dealer. Lucky me found this one-never again if I can help it. Drive by and go to another especially if you are a woman. I set up an appt the night before and never got confirmation for it. I came in and was greeted by Tony. He was fine except not helpful. My key fob was not working and my front license plate bracket was missing. He just shrugged his shoulders and said we don't do that. I stated they were listed as a Carvana preferred service center. He just said well that's a dealership issue. I called Caravana only to find out it was his issue. He had to note this issue and refer me to the dealer per phone and ticket or I would get stuck paying for the items. They need to know their job. Now for my check out. Tony referred me to Andrew Smith, service manager.He was immediately rude and made me feel like an idiot. I told him my heat was not working or blowing out. Also a light was out in the trunk. I will add that Tony did walk out to my car to make sure he knew which bulb. Andrew called me and in front of the whole shop said that I would have to pay the inspection fee because nothing was wrong with my heat. The vents weren't open. He then went on to tell me I would have to pay for the bulb too. Andrew said none of this was covered. I had to remind him to read my appt note that the car was under the 7 day policy. He did not apologize. He just said well I'll have to call Silver Rock and could you give me a half hour. An hour later and after I called Silver Rock myself, I had to tell him his job too. He needed to note the fob wasn't working and the bracket wasn't there. On top of this he had never contacted Silver Rock this whole time! He literally took about 4 men before me, ignored any women that came in the shop. Tony took up the slack for him by helping all the women and answering the phone. Lucky they have Tony. Andrew is the worst. He needs customer service training and to know that women deserve the same respect as men in a mechanic shop. I have never had such rude, condescending and biased service in my life. Drive by. It's not worth the ridicule. By the way, I did open and close the vents and it made no difference. They clearly fixed whatever the issue was. I will not return and I suggest you do not either. If you find the need I'd avoid Andrew at all costs. He is rude, and charges you for items you should not be charged for. He tried to scam me for almost 50$ because he was lazy and didn't know his job. Stay away! read more

Like Zach said in his review, the staff here is very friendly and honest. No pressure here when I need something done. I have bought tires here and come here for the lifetime alignments and rotations. They also offer brake service and batteries. Their location is close by to some other competition and even Walmart in the same shopping center. I think they are used to people coming in and getting quotes to shopping around. I know I have done that. They are open every day, so you can usually just drop by and get something done without an appointment. read more

People, there is a reason why this Firestone--and all the Firestones in the region for that matter--are so poorly reviewed on Yelp. Like many of the other reviewers have attested to, I found this location was very unprofessional and had a lot of bad business practice going on. I made an appointment for a new wheel install, balance, and alignment. The guy at the desk was clearly visibly annoyed when I was giving details on what needed to be done to avoid the mess I experienced a couple weeks earlier at the Joliet Firestone location (as of this writing, I currently have an open claim against that store. Apparently, I didn't learn my lesson yet.) 45 minutes after leaving my car with them, I get a call asking what I wanted to do about my TPMS sensors. I told them to dismount the tires off my old rims and reuse those sensors. Not 3 minutes later, the tech calls back saying the new wheels don't fit, and they're not putting them on. Well that's weird, I had the wheels custom made in Europe to fit my Audi's specifications. When I asked for paperwork stating the wheels didn't fit my car, in case I needed proof to return the rims if that was true, the tech told me there is no paperwork since nothing was done. Regardless if work was done or not, a good business will usually provide a printout stating as much. After I left Firestone, I went down the street to get a second opinion at a more reputable tire business where they mounted and test fit the wheels and found no fitment issues whatsoever--the rims fit like a glove. I was still thrown off by Firestone's claim that the wheels didn't fit, so I went and got a THIRD opinion at another tire retailer. They also found the fit perfect, as I thought. I had them installed then and there, and I've been riding on my new wheels with no issues ever since. Firestone did not want to do all that work on my car so they lied to cancel service. I almost returned those wheels and could have lost a lot of money return shipping them back to Europe. I will never bring my car and business to a Firestone again, as I've had nothing but bad experiences with this company. read more

If i can rate this place a ZERO/NO STARS, i would. This particluar location is unprofessional. i called and set up an appointment for an alignment and before actually going to this establishment, i made sure they can work on lowered cars. upon arrival, i was greeted by the manager (forgot his name...i want to say it was Chris or Mike) he stated they can't work on lowered cars. I informed him that i purchased the lifetime alignment and they've aligned my car prior. he stated that they absolutely cannot do it and didnt' even want to "Try" or "take a look". i put on new wheels/tires and adjusted the height in the rear---therefore i needed an alignment to make sure everything was still within spec and driving straight. this employee was rude, didn't want to work with me, couldnt' give me an explanation why the package was sold to me originally if firestone does not work on my type of car. again, explained that firestone aligned my car when it was LOWER than when i brought it to them on this day. he simply stated, not sure who did it, but it can't be done. in a nutshell, all i wanted was for this place to ATTEMPT it. if it couldnt' be done, then i would take it to a specialty shop. for this place to turn me away before even looking at it was rather upsetting. if it wasn't for the firestone in joliet, i would definitely write off firestone and tell everyone about it. then come to realize, it was this particular establishment in ROMEOVILLE that was flat out UNPROFESSIONAL. worst customer experience. cliff notes: DO NOT GO HERE. Young workers are very unprofessional here. The manager said he spoke to the worker that caused the issue but the guys in the shop were very careless. The manager didn't seem to put too much thought or anything into the apology and our conversation, if you want to call it that lasted literally 20 seconds. Once again, very careless workers. For example, when pulling in my vehicle they set off my alarm, accelerated quickly and raised my vehicle up so hazardously that my truck was rocking back and forth as if it was going to fall off the lift. I have a nice truck that I take very good care of; my vehicle is worth close to 100,000 dollars and I highly suggest you do not use this location if you value your vehicle. The kid pulling in the truck was trying to be a badass and take it for a joyride for the 50 feet from the parking spot to the garage. When observing him he seemed to be looking around the interior of the car for some reason which made me nervous. Why would he need to look around the inside of the vehicle when rotating tires? The answer is he wouldn't. Why was he doing it then. I do have to say the man that was working in the waiting room/where the registers are, was very nice and talked to me for about 15 minutes. Was traveling down I-55 when a piece of metal kicked up and hit the underside of our 2018 Toyota Highlander. When we pulled over, something was hissing/spraying out of the front of our car. We quickly found this Firestone branch and despite being very busy, they took some time immediately to assess and reassure us that it was only our A/C system that had been damaged and the car was able to drive us home. Will definitely return later when we need to have repairs done based on their great customer service. read more

Stay far far way from here. I was told i needed 12,000$ in repairs for a 2009 nissan?!?!? I can understand 700$ for tires and 650$ for spark plugs air filter oil change. I am a preventative maintenance kind of guy my car did not need a new engine!! Then for some reason the district manger was there idk if he was checking how terrible theyre doing or what? But them the distrcit manger says "Were not pepboys if you cant afford it, then you cant afford it" I was appauled and left took my car to pep boys and they fixed everything and then some for 750$ what a waste of my time read more

I will be the first to review. I go here whenever there is a job needed on my truck that I can't do. This Firestone is honest, cheap, and has qualified mechanics. They have very friendly service and very flexible hours being open until 9 P.M. on weekdays and open Saturday and Sunday for full hours. They get work done quick and do not charge outragous labor fees. I have finally found a shop that does not make me raise an eyebrow. read more

Where to start!! My son is in the military and traveling from Michigan to California. I decided to join him since it's his first cross country move. This is the 4th shop we stopped at after having shaking and jerking in the steering. We had the tires balanced and rotated twice, by other shops. One place had no idea what was wrong and sent us to Toyota. Toyota couldn't see us for 2 weeks. So, we decided to stop here to check if an alignment would help. They were able to find we needed a new rear engine mount. The part would not be available until the next morning. Paul drove us to a hotel in his personal vehicle and offered to pick us up when the car was ready the next day. Unfortunately the rear engine mount was not the only issue and we are still waiting for the car. We did get picked up around noon and they offered to buy us dinner, which we graciously declined, because the work took much longer than anticipated. I want to thank ALL THE STAFF at this location for the hard work and hospitality. I see all those negative reviews are pretty old. They absolutely do not reflect the service we received. Very dissatisfied with this company and their service staff. I bring my car in to get a quote on some work they supplied me with a quote of a few hundred dollars. Fine take it back to get the work done and hours later, hours they tell me they won't be fixing it, it would take to long to do. Really?? Isn't that the reason for the quote you morons. Don't trust this place. I went to get an estimate for my brakes. The guy looking at my car gave me a bogus estimate of $700.00 to get my back rotors, pads, and supposedly a caliper that needed to be replaced. The man in the front was friendly and seemed to be taking orders from the mechanic. 700 for rotors and pads seemed a bit high to me but I figured it was about standard. I made an appointment for Friday and left. On my drive home, I figured it wouldn't hurt to get another estimate. I took it in to a different auto shop in Romeoville. They looked at my car and gave me an estimate for 328 dollars out the door for ceramic brakes. The mechanic also laughed about how the other mechanic said I needed a caliper. He told me that's the most common tactic they will use to run up your bill. I got my work done right then and was on my way within an hour and a half. The car drives perfectly and I have a lifetime warranty on the pads and rotors. I'm really upset that I almost got ripped off buy this place. $370 dollars is a good chunk of change and I would have been taken by these people had I not gotten a 2nd opinion. I will definitely not be returning and will be advising friends and family to stay away from this place. It very sad because this place recently opened. You would think they would want to make a steady customer base. Apparently not. read more

Adam the manage is very courteous & professional. He explained everything to me before the Tech did any work. My car has never ran better. I would & will use Firestone again. read more

I had my car towed here after it wouldn't start. A man named Scott who works there called me and said that it was my fuel pump, it had no pressure and needed to be replaced. I said that's fine just replace it, I need the car right? So they said they replaced it and then the new one they was broken so they had to order a new one. Finally, four days laters, I was able to pick up my car. Lo and behold when installing the new fuel pump the gas gauge stopped work (Note: That should not impact the gauge), and they spilt gasoline in my car. So $1,100+ later, I got to pick it up with the lovely smell of gasoline and a broken fuel gauge. Fast forward one week and my car starts leaking gasoline. I take it to the dealership because I was not really happy with Firestone. Turns out, when my car was at Firestone, they did not even replace the fuel pump! They just charged me for it! I have an original fuel pump in my car. They replaced one of the sending units, instead of the fuel pump they charged me for. Not only that, but when they replaced the sending unit, they completely botched it. They connected all the hosing wrong, and they crimped some of the hosing. This in turn flooded the sending unit they replaced with a couple inches of gasoline. So $800 later at the dealership I needed another new sending unit, a few leaking O rings replaced and that's all. On the bright side my fuel gauge works again despite the people at Firestone saying they needed to order a new one. The only thing I will give them credit for is that they did refund most of the money (800 out of 1100). Would not recommend this place unless you like the smell of fuel in your car, and like being charged for something did not do. read more

The folks at this specific Firestone are amazing. I have used them for my past 3 cars.. and never disappointed. There are times they totally could have overcharged me for something I didn't need and I probably would've paid it out of desperation. But nope, not once have I ever been over sold or disrespected or talked to "as a girl". I moved a few years ago a few towns away.. but still continue to drive the extra distance to go to this Firestone. I'm a life long customer. Their prices are very competitive as well.. and obviously steller work :) I did extensive research on the tires they recommended I get.. Ecopia h/l 422.. and their prices were competitive if not cheaper than other places I called. Not to mention if you use their Firestone card, you get 5% off and 6 months no interest. . SOLD! Adam and Tony are who I usually deal with it and both are amazingly helpful, very intelligent, honest and knowledgable in car repairs. I'd definitely recommend this place! read more

Very honest. I had a chirping sound coming from my rear wheel, and they squeezed me in late afternoon on a Saturday to check it out. I thought maybe I needed a break job, but it was just a rock that somehow got stuck in the rotor. They took that out, and no more noise or problems. Plus they didn't even charge me. Great service. I liked this place and have been going here for years with my car, until a worker by the name of Andrew answered the phone one day and I asked him how long their wait would be for an oil change (mind you I called before coming inside because I wanted to be sure if I would be in and out since it was Saturday) so he tells me its a 2-3 hour wait. I tell him okay then I can come another day because I needed to be somewhere in an hour and a half, he then proceeded to ask if I could just have someone pick me up and I can leave my car.....I said no thanks because I don't have anyone out here to pick me up. he said okay and I said okay and that was the end of the call......or so I thought. I am assuming he THOUGHT he had hung up on me but he definitely didn't, I then was able to hear him talking about me very rudely to one of his coworkers saying things like "this bxtch wanted an oil change within an hour and I said wtf we are busy get in line bxtch, shes sitting in her car right there (and points to me in my car) but she cant come inside and has to effing call us instead" and proceeded to say a few more unpleasant things. not sure if he was trying to act cool in front of his coworkers or what, I wont even give this place another chance again. I don't need an apology because Andrew can kindly shove it where the sun don't shine. ill take my money to Jiffy Lube because atleast they know how to speak to people.
