had my car checked to confirm a transmission issue. I specifically asked if they would check the whole car out for their diagnostic check fee and not just do a simple scan. I told him I have a scanner and he assured me they would check the whole car out check pressures and other techniques.. They kept the car for 24 hours and just gave me three scanner codes that came up. Nothing else. Then gave me a quote of 4500 for the transmission to be replaced with a used transmission. Yeah. Won't be going back. . I will say the staff are nice. And they have a shuttle to take you home when you drop your car off which is nice. read more

Just last week took my son car here to get check engine light off and was charged 900 dollars.After having the car for 6days they told me it was the fuel pump.When we knew it was the battery because Auto had put it on a machine.But this place insist it was the pump make along story short received the car back and within hrs engine lights was right back on.Then when my son went back up there cause 900 is alot for a High Schooler they act like the mechanic that worked on it wasn't there and put him out instead of trying to find out the problem.NOT A GOOD AUTO SHOP BAD BUSINESS read more

The price of $140 to replace the battery terminals seemed like a lot but I didn't research the cost nor did I shop around for a better price. They had good reviews so I chose them. Scam business!!! Do not bring a car here for an inspection. Bought a car from a dealership and they suggested I go through first choice auto as a third party to inspect it their fee (60$) sounded like an amazing deal to put a car on a lift and test drive it. They called me after the "inspection" and said how they looked at the car and how everything was in perfect working order and how the only problem was a "tiny amount of rust", the guy had barely anything to say and couldn't answer any of my questions. I got delivery of the car, the check engine light was on, there were cigarettes everywhere, and the wheel was dented so much so that the car couldn't exceed 40mph as it would shake. The engine hood latch was broken, and the trunk was broken and did not open. The steering wheel telescoping was broken too. It was obvious that First Choice Auto did not do the job of looking at the car, if you want a car looked over or reputable help with automotive needs I would stay far away from here. read more

When I went there to have my girlfriends brakes done I was having problems with my car they told me it was my alternator. They told me to pick it up down the street from the auto parts store so I did. They installed it and everything was good for about a week. Then that part went out. I tried talking to them about it and that's when they said if we would have gotten the part for you we would have warrentied out work. That was never given to me as a option. I ended up having to pay to have another one installed. Not a good way to run a business read more

My favorite auto repair shop of all time. Invariably honest, with a high standard of quality. The bring-your-own-parts model not only makes this hands down the most affordable shop I've ever frequented; it also gives me the ability to select the specific parts I want for the car. (Though if you don't like the idea of buying your own parts, the shop is happy to provide them.) As a bonus, they've not yet been wrong on a diagnosis for me, and their customer service is fantastic. They're always happy to take you under the car and show you any issues, and if you need the old part so you can get a core deposit back, they'll quickly provide it. When I brought in the car for one issue and they discovered another (and a pressing issue at that!), one of their employees actually volunteered to drive me over to an auto parts shop to pick up the new parts. Doesn't get better than that. I do a fair amount of work on my car on my own--but for bigger jobs, or just when I'm short on time--I always go to this place. read more

Amazing. I'm so impressed with the work, workers, and service here at First choice. Its my first time here and they were amazing. Bill and his wife and the mechanics and front desk workers went above and beyond. I just moved to the area and I am on a super tight budget for every single thing. Ever dollar I get is hard earned and spent on just getting me and the kids by each day. So when my brakes were making noise, I felt sick and so so worried. I can not afford to have any kind of trouble with my car for the safety of my family and for the size wallet either. Its a shame but sometimes as a woman you face the possibility of getting screwed over when getting your car repaired. I never ever doubted for one second that Bill was going to giving me the best deal he could. He took his time, he explained everything to me and even worked out a deal for me that I could afford on my very limited budget. His mechanic even introduced himself and showed me exactly what he would be doing for me. They finished up as quickly as they could and I'm confident that the work was done wonderfully. I had to bring my children with me to wait as the car was finished and every single person at First Choice was kind, friendly, and so welcoming to both me and my children. Even taking the unprecedented step to buy drinks and lunch for me and all the other customers waiting for their cars. I tried to tell then they didn't have to do that but the insisted. They fed my kids and insisted that they eat and eat till they were all full. I wish I could tell you how much that meant to me. I needed that kindness and I'll be forever grateful. 2005 CADILLAC owner I took my car to first choice auto repair to have a heater blower installed. They replace the part in one hour. The dealer wanted 800.00 for the repair job. I bought the part for 175 and first choice installed it for a labor charge of 95.00. I recommend this auto repair shop to all my friends and family. read more

Had back brakes done in 11/2014 and just took the car back in for the front. When they recommended both front and back pads I was confused. After some minor discussion, the back pads were replaced under warranty. The front pads were still fine Left there with a $0 bill. Will be back with my other car soon. Earlier this summer I had purchased a whole bunch of parts to keep our family vehichle in good shape, having the intent to doing a little bit each weekend, as this was what I had always done in a former life (before kids). As the weeks passed by, vacations, BBQs, work travel, etc...all seemed to push this work to the back burner. So, when all my rear end lights went out and I got tired of being flipped the bird by fellow drivers who slammed on their breaks cuz they had no idea I was stopping it was time for a mechanic. The namesake says "Bring your own parts" but it's okay if you don't. I went in early, they assessed the situation and had my car lit like a Xmas tree in no time for under $70. Excellent service and customer care. They don't overcharge and if they find nothing wrong with your car they will tell you and won't charge you. They'll even give you a ride home if needed. These guys will take you back and show you what needs to be repaired/replaced and even dumb it down if need be.
