However, this morning, I find myself meeting a team member from JMV Tree Service, who is a licensed arborist and very professional, and I asked him if he could remove a few trees for me. He said yes and once he saw the project and its scope, he told me he could complete the project in a few hours. Then about 30 minutes later, he sent a crew. (It's all in the timing)!! To my amazement, they removed all of it while I was at work and they did such a fantastic job. I wish I did it months ago because this tree has been bothering me and dropping things in my backyard and it was driving me crazy. Absolutely bonkers... so much so, I bought a leaf blower because this tree was making such a mass every day on the deck. And in just a couple hours and for a very fair price, Jonathan and his team at JMV Tree Service did a fine job and made it very easy for me. My parents felt the quote provided from the tree arborist was expensive. My sister asked me to find other trees arborists on Yelp. I asked J.T.S. Tree Expert for a quote. When I made the request on Yelp I also checked the box to send the request to other vendors. I met most of the vendors that responded through Yelp at my parents' place. In August I scheduled as many tree arborists as possible I could for a free estimate. I learned a lot from them regarding what needed to be done. Seeing multiple tree arborists provided me insights on what issues to ask. After the appointments each tree arborist provided me with a quote. One was really expensive even though he was licensed. There were a couple of tree arborists that weren't licensed that provided more reasonable quote. One thing I observed from my encounters with the tree arborists is they would tell you about the estimated quote for the trimming however when I received the quote there was another charge for the cleaning. When I met Jose and Veronica from J.T.S Tree Expert I showed them the backyard on my parents' home. J.T.S was the second to the last tree arborist I scheduled for an estimated quote. Jose told me that time frame for trimming the trees would be six hours. At the end I decide to go with J.T.S as they were not only licensed but also the cheapest as the quote included the tree trimming and the cleaning. I wasn't there on the day of Friday October 10 when J.T.S workers came to my parents' house for the trimming. However my parents were. They said the processed took about five hours. I went to the backyard on Monday October 13 to see the outcome. I was more than happy with the result of the branches that were trimmed. I can see the fence of my parents' backyard. So, we reached out to Castillo Tree Service via Yelp, and they were the first business to respond to our request, within a few minutes they responded back and came out to give an estimate within a day. Gabriel and his team did a great job of trimming our cherry tree that is shared between us and our neighbor, in between both our houses. Gabriel was willing to work with us on the pricing and gave us a discount, after we had asked. He charged us $350 for trimming down the tree and hauling away everything. Took about an hour or so to trim the tree and they cleaned up everything. Left nothing behind and they were professional and did a good job. We had a large, overgrown California Sycamore tree in my front yard. Look at the picture. The tree had high branches jutting up into the sky like wings. Branches broke off in the wind, falling down on our cars and on the rooftop. Tony and his team worked to carefully manicure the tree back into a manageable size. They cut only along the joints, so the tree still looks completely natural. AAA Tree Service protected our windows and roof. They provided cones and signs so that my neighbors could park elsewhere for the day. After the work was completed, they cleaned up everything! Thankfully, Yelp has been super helpful with our search for a contractor and we landed on using Garcia Fencing. We reached out for a quote and the contractor Kenny was quick in setting up a time to come over for an initial assessment (discussed what needed to be fixed and what style of wood (board on board)/stain to fix with) and quote of the overall cost. Let's just say the overall project to replace all the backyard fence can be pretty expensive but we received a reasonable estimate. It only took them about a little bit more than half a day to get the entire fence replaced which was super impressive. We did end up having to call them back another day to do some additional fixes for some gaps on the fences that we noticed but they were able to come to fix those up. The new fence did end up looking very nice and sturdy! The stain really does make it look very polished and clean. Overall, we had a good experience working with Garcia fencing and would recommend for any future fencing needs. Also warranty is seven years so def a big help for any future fencing concerns.

I recently had Salvador and his team come out to trim some trees on my property. It had been many…read moreyears since these trees had been trimmed, and there were a lot of dead branches as well as crowding between some of the trees. I was a bit nervous about the trimming because in the past, I've had some rather aggressive tree trimmers come and take off a huge branch from one of my trees (which is primarily why it had been so long since the last trimming). Either way, I knew the trees needed help, and so I called Valero Brothers. Salvador came for a consultation, and I showed him the trees around my property that needed help. After this, we set up a date for him and his team to come trim. I was very happily surprised in a few ways. First, the trees were trimmed beautifully, and I mean BEAUTIFULLY! All the dead branches are gone, but the trees still look full and healthy. As for my two lemon trees (which were very overgrown) he cut them back quite a bit, but they also look much happier, healthier and more symmetrical. I have actually gone out to the back yard a few times just to admire how nice the trees look (and the birds seem happy as well!). In addition to the excellent trimming, they left my property in perfect shape - there were no dead branches in my yard, and they even cleaned up trimmings that fell into my neighbor's yard. Finally, I think they did use power tools for some trimming, but due to the quiet during much of the day, it seems that perhaps they used hand tools for trimming as well (I was home during the duration of the trimming, and barely noticed any noise at all). All in all, I couldn't be happier with the tree service that I got from Valero Brothers. I hope to rely on them for all my future tree trimming!

I had a mixed experience with Alejandro over the 6-8 months I worked with him. While he was…read moregenerally responsive and made lots of promises, he misrepresented himself as an arborist when I needed one for tree root pruning around a sidewalk permit with the City of Oakland. Alejandro only told the truth after we had gathered a big 10-person crew of my general contractor's team, the city inspector and whole concrete team ready to pour the sidewalk. With all these men looking to him for approval as the arborist, he buckled and admitted he wasn't a "certified arborist" but a "licensed arborist." We were all dumbfounded. This colossal waste of time cost me several thousand dollars more from a two week delay and extra man hours over Xmas, when Alejandro left a big safety hazard of sharp nails, overturned plywood, and a mess of wood chips on the sidewalk that another crew had to manage when he was a no-show on the cleaning part. At least he did actually prune the roots after he found a real "certified arborist" to replace him. He did cut back the tree branches just fine. But If you need anything more official than a tree haircut, I don't recommend you choose Alejandro.

He gave us a reasonable quote to trim the sail of our tree, and thin it out to remove broken or problematic limbs and let more sun through to our back yard and solar system. He offered to start in less than a week. The next day, he texted me to say he could start Saturday if that worked, only 2 days after I had first called. He and his crew showed up at 9 am and worked hard and quickly to transform our tree.
