Overall: Out of all the high tea experience, this was the most homely one. It felt like you were going to your grandma's house and she made you tea and snacks (in a good way). If you want an elevated experience, I would go to La Quinta or St. James, but this is a great option if you want a casual warm experience. The food starts with a small salad and biscuits then 3 courses (small appetizers, tea sandwiches, dessert). The food was good. The scones are not traditional English or American scones but rather a soft almost muffin like biscuit. They were yummy but not what I would have expected. The courses come paired with a tea. All their teas were good and paired well with the food. They even allowed us to take it home in to go cups because we got too full to finish the tea our food in the last course! read more

First time in this charming tea house and I love how the entrance of the tea shop is a charming boutique filled with special estate items. As you walk further in the shop the transitions to a dedicated spot to all things tea with variety of teas, teacups, tea containers, teapots along with everything needed for a tea experience. They also sell locally made chocolates. Tucked in toward the back of the store is the cozy tea restaurant. They offer high tea service, though reservations are required, and that will be for a future visit. I ordered a chai tea latte with half and half and it was absolutely delish, satisfying my craving for something cinnamony and spicy. This place has Tea, chocolate, & estate sale items. HOW CAN YOU NOT STOP? The store was very clean & well set up. Has a sitting area to enjoy your purchases. The staff were very helpful, friendly, & informative on their products. They will even let you sample the chocolates. The tea selection was amazing. We will be bringing our adult grandson (tea person) to this store. The estate sale items are of quality so not thrift store items. We had an appointment, so our time was limited. It's understandable why the High Tea is $39. While the tea selection is outstanding the food is just so so. Love that it's all served on tea service dishes. (Some local places use mugs ). The mini scones aren't scones. The tiny ramekins of clotted cream and jam (to share mind you) are a joke. The savory tidbits are tasty though probably bought frozen. The 3 "finger sandwiches" lack flavor. And the sweet course was a disappointment. Chocolate pudding, really?? Store bought cookies that must be from Sam's club. I just think you shouldn't offer a High Tea. Do a "tea service", teas and one platter with a nice arrangement of finger sandwiches. Much easier for the place to hit high marks. The Alice in Wonderland room needs just a bit more decor. One corner has 3 flower trees which are fine. But the posters and fake grass walls need more. Maybe curtains, yes even in a no window wall. Make it an enchanting room. Being by the noisy kitchen and its ugly doorway is a damper. A plus is the chairs are comfortable and covered tables make it feel like a nice cafe. Loved the front shop. Definitely a go-to for anything tea related. Selection of dry teas is amazing as is all items needed for proper tea enjoyment are on hand. Really wanted to go to an afternoon tea for a while! So happy I found this place. It is a very intimate and peaceful place for afternoon tea. When I arrived, the employees were very friendly and anticipating my arrival. I got there about 10 to 15 minutes early and they were more than happy to seat me. When you walk in they do have their store front as soon as you enter. They have 3 different rooms for you and your party to choose from. I met a friend to try lunch, and it was fresh and delicious. I ordered the green chili chicken salad on a bed of greens and the blueberry lavender ice tea. The chicken salad was delicious, and the amount of greens was generous. I got a bleu cheese dressing on the side along with potato salad and a couple small decorative slices of tomato. The potato salad was also really delicious. I wouldn't say the green chili was overpowering by any means. The tea was fantastic, and I got a free refill! While there, my friend and I tried the oxygen bar. We had never done that before. You can get a 15-min. session for $15 or two people can try for 15 mins. for $20 total. You can keep the nasal cannula and use it next time which qualifies you for a $5 discount. Rosy is super friendly and helpful. She shared big news that the store with quilt supplies moved out. The teas and chocolates store will expand into that space, and the kitchen will be larger. This won't happen for a while since they will take over the property in Sept. and start the remodel. Met some dear friends at Corrales Teas & Chocolate. One of us was gluten free and they did have comparable menu items for her special diet. First, the tea variety was extensive. We chose an orange cranberry tea which was wonderful! And a coconut tea that I didn't try because I'm not a coconut lover but the other three ladies at the tea really enjoyed it. The food was ok. First, the scones were not scones they were doughy little blueberry breads. Not good at all. I took a bite and that was it. We only got a few and most were left. And the tiny tablespoon of jam and clotted cream to split with 3 of us was the same as the gluten free diner got. The food was pretty good. The chicken salad sandwich on a croissant, cucumber and cream cheese, spanakopita, and small savory pastry were good. We had a beef Wellington bite that was ok but not very warm. The dessert was unimpressive. Pre packaged small cheesecake with canned cherries on top. And a horrible beignet with cookie butter inside that was hard and cold. I guess I expected for $50 that we would have had fresh baked food. The staff were wonderful and friendly and the shop is really cute. Fun place to be. Not sure I'll return. so met some friends for afternoon tea. I know this is a relatively new venture for them so will provide some constructive feedback. Great location and a fun vibe. the sandwiches were awesome, the savouries not bad but not to my personal taste. the desserts were lack lustre. So on to thoughts and suggestions. I am english and have had afternoon tea A LOt! In no universe do scones get served first and those are not scones they were blueberry muffins. The amount of cream offered was not enough for 1 person let alone 3! Yes they bought more when asked but then we hadn't seen that it was a muffin not a scone so we really didn't eat much of the cream. The teas, need to be steeped for 3-5 minutes not poured as soon as bought to the table. A pot of tea left to steep needs to be kept warm.... a tea cozy is needed. luke warm tea is not good. Get some tea cozy's and learn what scones are and I will be back for another try read more

This was my first time visiting this store. A family owned tea shop, located in the historic village of Corrales. Right off Corrales Road. Easy to find if you know your way around that area. But definitely, have to make sure you don't miss the road to turn on to get to the shop. When I visited they looked to be renovating the place. But they did have their outdoor dining tables set up. Decided to try a little of what they had to offer, purchased some peppermint and earl gray tea, iced coffee and some delicious truffles. Very happy to say that the iced coffee and truffles were delicious. When I got home, I brewed some peppermint tea. So flavorful and aromatic. I'll definitely be visiting this tea shop again. Been coming by this business and always wanted to come in and see their chocolates and fudge and glad I did. They have some estate sale things in here, but it's also a restaurant and they make their own fudge and truffles and muffins among other local foods. Peaches, our server was very friendly and very quick with everything that we ordered and I was very happy with the service. The lady in the front by the truffles and fudge is very and just a very nice person and that's always a big thing for me when I walk into a place after working in retail for so many years that sadly is lacking down here. We enjoyed our trio sampler we did get to each got a black tea, which is very nice and fresh and I like the fact that you can actually come for a tea sampler for $39 per person and did say with reservations for that. The food and tea were delicious. The service was fast and attentive. I really enjoy the outdoor seating. It's one of the few places that has a great outdoor seating set up. It's really a hidden gem! So many fun things to look at! They have estate sale items, chocolates, teas, and I believe an oxygen bar. The decor and atmosphere are very comfortable. I believe the owner may have checked me out. This a cute, quaint, clean and cozy place to enjoy tea and food. Both trips I enjoyed the Green Chile Stew which comes with a croissant. Both are tasty. And the ginger peach iced tea was good, too. Our server, Peaches, was delightful. My only con is that the chicken salad sandwich my husband order barely had any chicken salad. It was a sliver of a serving for what you pay. What he could taste was good though. But I would say it would be nice to add more chicken salad to their sandwiches. I got a few different items from this local business, some truffles to try which were amazing, tea, honey, a tool used for honey, and the cutest little bee pendant with the package. Each item was so wonderful and flavorful. I had seen this little shop before, but had never stopped in. I now know where I'll be stopping for some Valentine's day gifts for myself and son, along with Mother's day gifts when this holiday comes along! read more

Oh how I love tea! This was a Christmas gift from my husband and it was my fav! The cinnamon roll tea was absolutely scrumptious, the honey was yummy and today I plan on mixing the honey and peach apricot....can't wait! Tried this place for the first time since they started serving lunch, and my wife and I were super impressed! We both got the chicken salad sandwiches (I got mine with green chile, because duh), and it was the best chicken salad I've had in a long time. We also got an amazing chocolate drizzled croissant for dessert. They have a really nice spot to sit outside and enjoy when the weather is nice, so we're really looking forward to coming back and trying all the tea they offer when the weather cools down.
