I have been twice for lunch- and had two totally different experiences. First in August of 2018 and then June of 2019. I don't recommend this place for a business meeting with someone you've never met before it can be very very hectic at lunch. First time sat outside had a wonderful salad and great service and enjoyed myself immensely. Quick service and good food. Second time I was shuffled upstairs right next to the bathroom and our server seemed to forget about us A lot. I had to flag her down twice just to ask for water refills. I had the salmon burger and it was pretty gross if I'm being honest- I asked for no bun and it was just falling apart and not appealing. We were seated right across from the bathroom and people were coming and going the entire time and leaving the door open- which isn't super appetizing so perhaps a screen of some sort would be nice. Parking is a nightmare but there is a lot by Williams Sonoma that you can pay to park in not too far. Check took so long to get my guest for lunch had to leave while we were waiting - just not impressed. read more

This restaurant, unfortunately, let me down. My parents, boyfriend and I were SO excited to try this place because we LOVE eating at new places anytime we are in Asheville and it looked so cute. This spot had good reviews and looked like the kind of place we would enjoy, but we had to wait 30 minutes for a party of four when there were open tables on both levels, the menu options were limited, portions are small, and the food is overpriced for overall taste, uniqueness, and quality. Our service was subpar and we all were not greatly happy with our food. The reasons I am giving it 3 stars instead of of 1 or 2 is because it had a good atmosphere and my appetizer (crab soup) and side option (feta potato salad) was delicious. My entree (portabello mushroom wrap) was nearly tasteless and lacked much substance, I was very let down by that. My dad and boyfriend both got the Brasstown beef burger. We live 10 minutes away from Brasstown, and they both said that this burger was the least special Brasstown burger they had ever had, and lacked flavor. They enjoyed their fries. My mom enjoyed the taste of her fish Poboy but thought that the size of the fish filet and sandwich overall was way too small for the price. While we had a decent visit, I doubt we will return anytime soon with so many other options in the area. read more

Great food, atmosphere and wait staff. Perfect place for breakfast, brunch and lunch.

We recently ate at Corner Kitchen with a party of 14. The food, service and ambiance were great. However, the area where there was a shortfall was in the quantity of food. I had the steak (filet), which was served with a scoop of mashed potatoes and asparagus spears. The steak was two SMALL slices not even enough for a decent sandwich. At $47.00 for this was a bit ridiculous. read more

Lunch service on a Saturday was excellent and food was amazing. Crystal was our server on the outside patio. Fried green tomato BLT was great. Fries and potato salad were delicious with excellent flavors. We truly enjoyed our visit and are looking forward to returning. read more

The food was fabulous. Very high quality but didn't feel stuff. The cocktails were also incredible. I recommend the Vanderbilt Martini.

Picture perfect spot in Biltmore village. Cute and cozy spot with a great outdoor dining space. We were lucky enough to sit outside on a beautiful Sunday morning. The biscuits and gravy were good (although my preference is more meat in it.) The flavor was on point with the gravy itself. Our server Melia was so sweet and attentive, even on a busy morning. My cream cheese scramble was tasty with all of the herbs folded in. The rosemary potatoes were crispy and flavorful. Amazing. A highlight would certainly be the local jam they serve with the biscuits. Very busy place, reservations highly recommend. read more

They wanted to seat the two of us at the bar, or at their "outside" area. The place was overcrowded and the outside area had metal tables, the floors were dirty ... and they allowed dogs inside. Enough is enough! We cancelled the reservation right away. read more

I really don't know where to start with this restaurant. They did an amazing job from the beginning until the end! Truly there is not one thing I can say I would change about the entire meal. All of the staff were amazing! Everyone was so kind and a lot of fun...Especially our bartender Tiffany and the sommelier Sarah The energy, atmosphere, staff and food were out of this world! We will definitely be back the next time we are in Asheville. read more

I've stopped by for lunch or brunch before but, it's busy here and I didn't plan well. We were "hangry" and didn't want to w Tonight seemed like a good idea since it wasn't too busy and I was starving. My waitress was nice but, I was joking when I asked for an extra napkin for my right leg. It's warm out but, freezing inside. I had on long sleeves and shorts. Usually sufficient everyplace else. I sat in the dining room where the bar was. I didn't realize that the rest of the building was comfortable until I was leaving. So I ate dinner with napkins on my legs. This is a cute spot but, in my opinion, suited for lunch and brunch. The decor doesn't warrant the prices for dinner. The LED lighting from the ceiling fans is a bad choice. This is an easy fix. The wine by the glass options were mediocre. I enjoyed the red pepper soup. It tasted just like red pepper soup. The calamari's description looked amazing but, ultimately with all the ingredients was basically fried calamari with a black bean purée. Nothing to remember here. As an interior designer I can tell you that something was just off. The ambiance and menu should be in sync. I skipped the entrees because the selections felt like they belonged at their other restaurant and I was just uncomfortable. Not a disaster but, won't return for dinner. Maybe lunch. The selections on Yelp looked tempting. read more

This is a wonderful restaurant. Brought some San Francisco guests and the food, ambiance and service was as good as it gets. Bravo Corner Kitchen! FYI the menu is creative and everything we ordered was extremely tasty. read more

This is a quaint, cute restaurant! It's obviously very popular, I waited to be seated on a Tuesday night - which is perfectly fine, I don't mind waiting. I ate at the bar and had a potato soup and Brussel Sprouts. The soup was amazing! Rich and creamy! Brussels - not so great, they had some amazing flavor combinations but the Brussels were mostly just the leaves (or whatever they're called). I prefer a halved/quartered sprout. I would go back for sure, the servers were excellent, very friendly! read more

Another great meal celebrating a 12th wedding anniversary with two great friends The atmosphere and food was wonderful, as usual. I ordered the trout - delicious with green beans and ginger sweet potatoes, - the trout was perfectly seasoned and quite tasty - the green beans were crunchy, but I liked them a lot - and sweet potatoes were delicious, not too sweet, but if you're not fond of ginger, then I would not recommend them. My friends ordered the chicken breast and salmon - they said everything tasted delicious. We ended the meal with carrot cake and lemon poppy seed cheese cake. The cheese cake was different, but so delicious. My friend loved the carrot cake - so much that he ate it all and didn't share. But we were disappointed the key lime pie has been removed from the menu. Corner Kitchen please bring back the key lime pie. read more

What a great place to grab breakfast! I had plans to meet my friend, who wound up running super late. I was pleased that the Corner Kitchen staff were super patient and willing to seat me and let me wait for her to arrive, and to continuously refill my sweet tea while I waited at our table. Maybe it was because we were there at opening, because I imagine they wouldn't do the same at prime brunch hour! Once she arrived, we decided to split the biscuit and gravy appetizer and the Biltmore village breakfast, opting for the scrambler eggs, which did not disappoint. I had recently read somewhere that doing scrambled eggs in cream cheese is the best way to make them, but have never tried it myself. I will say that these eggs were amazing! I love the richness the cream cheese added to the eggs and the herbs were delightful. I also thought the biscuit and sausage gravy was very authentic, so if you're not from the south and have wanted to try that dish, try it here and you will not be disappointed! Corner Kitchen was super relaxing, terrifically decorated, and I even enjoyed their giant hydrangeas blooming outside. A terrific spot read more

Got there just in time before the breakfast crowd! Was leaving the mountains on a road trip and found them shortly after getting on the highway. Cute little corner house that is actually really big with a lot of history. Walked in, was asked if we called ahead so that told us something along with the reviews. We coped bar seating, asked Hanna our server what she recommended and it was what I was already looking at. Avocado toast with eggs and a side of bacon. Was absolutely delicious. I made a very happy plate. The husband had the Biltmore which's was sausage, eggs, grits and a biscuit. Everything was fresh and hot. Would most definitely return. Thank you. read more

The amouse buche was delicious. Loved being able to taste all basic tastes in one bite. The crab and corn chowder was flavorful. I only wish there was a bit more crab. The atmosphere was cozy and warm. Our waiter was attentive. Everything was great up until our share plate/entrees. Those took about an hour to come out. The braised pork cheek tagliatelle was not great. The tagliatelle was overcooked. The texture was off and perhaps too thick. The flavors were good and the bits of braised pork were good. I wish the braised pork wasn't shredded though. They disappeared into the dish. I did enjoy the bits of hazelnut gremolata though. The fennel dusted grilled verlasso salmon was burnt which ruined the dish, but no complaints on the farro kale salad. The porcini seared scallops risotto con funghi was disappointing as the most expensive dish. The scallops were burnt which made them taste bitter. The risotto was mushy and over cooked. I never leave a plate unfinished, but I definitely left the risotto behind. Overall, the meal was unsatisfying and overpriced for what we got. Had the dishes been prepared with more care it might have been worth it. read more

We just had dinner here! My friend and I had the restaurant week menu and my sister had regular menu items. She had the steak and it was perfectly cooked. The bread basket was also delicous! My friend and I enjoyed our salads and our pecan crusted trout. I was a little bummed the skin was soggy on the bottom because I am a huge fan of my fish skin being crispy but the flavor was good. This was one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The food was beautifully done with the perfect garnishes. My husband and I have been coming to the Corner Kitchen for 12 years, and it has been my go-to place for dinner. Good food. Casual vibe. No attitude. Last Tuesday we were there, and I ordered a perennial favorite of mine--the almond encrusted trout. It came with ginger sweet potatoes. I have enjoyed this dish many times, but last week it was tasteless, absolutely bland--both the fish and the potatoes. I told the server, and his response was that he would let the kitchen know. They always appreciate feedback, he said. Needless to say, I was disappointed. read more

Nestled among several posh shops, Corner Kitchen is one of the few eateries to choose from. The vibe of the area is not my scene , in fact Asheville as a whole is not my scene. Looking over the menu I was worried that I wouldn't find something I'd like as it seemed like a Panera-type list - no thanks. But- I took a chance on the Smoked Turkey and Joes Chips. The turkey sandwich was so full of flavor (thanks to a sweet, tomato aioli) and the chips were very unique and tasty. Stopped here for a quick bite before catching our flight. Food was fantastic! Great service & good wine list! Definitely a cut above.

We had an excellent meal at the Corner Kitchen when we were visiting Asheville recently. Although, they were completely booked with reservations the young lady who answered my call did explain they keep a few tables available for walk ins. We hurried right over & arrived just before they completely filled up! My husband, daughter & I were warmly greeted upon arrival & were seated at a table with a view of the kitchen. It was bustling!!! It was interesting to view the interaction of the chefs and staff working together to get each meal out to their customers timely. They were really in synch. As business increased I noticed the manager jump right in and offer assistance several times. Overall, it appeared they were well staffed & the employees genuinely enjoyed their jobs working well together! Our server was very pleasant. She made recommendations & we ordered our meals & a bottle of wine. She was the perfect balance of attentive without being overbearing. Our meals were EXCEPTIONAL. Especially my husband's perfectly seasoned & prepared steak. As he said one of the best cuts of beef he's ever had!!!! At the end of our meal our server returned with a gluten dairy free dessert while singing Happy Birthday to me! What a pleasant surprise. Overall, we could have lingered all evening however, we were also aware of allowing our server to have another customer at her table. This was a great find & I look forward to dining at the Corner Kitccen again the next time we are in Asheville. Thanks for a fabulous birthday!! read more
