Host will take your phone number and you'll be able to access a virtual queue. It's helpful to see how many parties are ahead of you. Once you get a table, the long wait ends there. We ordered quite a few dishes and they all came out surprisingly fast. Everything was hot and fresh. Standout dishes were the dry hot pot fish and soup dumplings. This new restaurant is serving up authentic Chinese cuisine with a focus on dumplings. I've had the pleasure of trying several kinds of their dumplings (steamed and pan seared) and a Szechuan fish dish and everything on the menu is fantastic. Even if you are not interested in the dumplings there is a whole nother menu of more traditional lunch / dinner entrees that are equally delicious. What is really cool is you can see them making all of the dumplings through the glass. The food comes out super hot as soon as it's finished cooking. I can't believe I forgot to take pictures of this food but honestly, we were so hungry and the weight was a little long that we scarfed it down. The restaurant is very busy both in decor and attendance. Fully expect to wait unless you were able to make a reservation which I believe they don't do unless you have groups over five. However, the food is absolutely worth the wait! I don't eat pork so I was a little limited in the dumplings that I was able to try, but by far my favorite, were the vegetable dumplings. The chive pancakes were delicious and the fried rice is a must add. My husband really liked the beef truffle fried rice. The beverage menu is great for nonalcoholic cocktails, and beer. TL;DR: Great food, would definitely eat here again. Get the dumplings. Food: Delicious. We had the soup dumplings (these had so much soup in them!) and the pan fried dumplings which were both great. This place is fairly new and took over the former Korea House near to Kawa sushi. It's a cute place- they really pulled out all the stops to make it inviting and well, dumpling-centric. As you walk in they have a glass wall where you can watch the cooks prepare the dumplings and steam them. You shouldn't stand too long though as there will probably be a wait and you need to get out of the way since it's a major service artery connecting the two sides of the restaurant. There's a sign and if you missed that, they'll tell you. They're working hard, they need that space. The dining room is comfortable and classy. We went at lunch time today on a Friday and the wait was minimal. Less than 10 minutes overall. Our waiter was very attentive. You're served water to start and they also have various tea drinks that you can order. They don't serve alcohol or if they do, it's not on the regular menus. There's a whole spread of types of dim sum and dumplings you can order. We opted for the fried pork and chive dumplings. They were incredible. You have caddies on the table to mix your own dipping sauce which has vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil. The chili oil doesn't have the chilis in it, but gave a nice kick. On the other menu, you have a wide selection of Chinese dishes- Sichuan and other more American Chinese. We ordered the "Basa in chili oil" which I think might have been bass fish, but either way was absolutely delicious. It's family style so there is a ton of it. With just those two dishes, we had left overs. Other patrons seemed to embrace the soup dumplings, the spicy tofu, and other various dumplings which undoubtedly will leave plenty of leftovers for later as well. Our waiter was positively delightful and the service was quick and efficient. For the amount of food and the quality, I can't believe our bill was only $32. If you like Sichuan Chili or Kiki sushi's dumplings, I highly recommend trying this place. It will be on our rotation from now on. These dumplings are like Pokemon. I gotta try em all. read more

The exterior is unassuming, but once you walk inside, it's spacious and very well decorated in Asian themes. The first thing you see when you walk inside is the area where the homemade dumplings are being made. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, and the food was flavorful and delicious, we ended up ordering a few dishes to go. Believe the hype! Corner Dumpling House is serving up some tasty food and is well worth a visit. After failing to get in once before, my daughter and I strategized to arrive shortly before they opened at 11 to make sure we got a table. It worked! Our server Lauren gave us some excellent suggestions to supplement what we already knew we wanted. The chicken soup dumplings are a must have. I've never had these before and they were outstanding. You poke a little hole in the dumpling and draw out the savory soup before eating what's left. The pan fried pork buns, scallion pancakes and Japanese shumai were all excellent and well complimented by the combination of soy sauce, vinegar and hot oil you can mix to your taste from the containers on the table. The pork wontons in chili oil were very, very good. A coconut Matcha tea completed my meal. The restaurant itself is cute and clean with combination of boots and tables. Wow. I can't believe we have an actual decent and authentic Chinese restaurant in Cincinnati with really freshly made dumplings and Sichuan food. The flavors were great. We loved their dumplings, their vegetarian one was actually our favorite followed by the truffle pork one. I am blown away at their mei fun. Their rice noodles are cooked to perfection, the beef is really tender, the egg and cabbage portions were adequate. I feel like there was a hint of fish sauce that big hut everything together. It tastes even better with chili oil. The portions were big enough to share. I had heard all the hype around Corner Dumpling House and it did not disappoint. We ordered three types of dumplings: fried spicy beef buns, pork dumplings in chili oil, and pork and shrimp soup dumplings. The buns were good, but the other two absolutely shined. For the chili oil dumplings, the silky dumpling wrapper was the perfect vehicle for the spicy oil and tasty filling. And the soup dumplings are a dish I will still be dreaming about later: perfect wrapper, tasty meat filling, and the most flavorful slurp of soup I've had in some time. Those soup dumplings are one of my favorite dishes I've eaten in Cincinnati. For entrees, we ordered the shrimp drunken noodles and diced chicken with hot pepper, and they were both delicious but the portions are large so we took enough home for another meal! We had a short wait for a table at 6pm on a Thursday night, but it looked like the wait was longer when we left. Don't let the wait deter you - this is well worth the wait! A worthy spot for tasty dumplings! My daughter and I stopped in after church for a bite. We were seated right away and got to peruse the menu. There was a great selection of pescatarian/ vegetarian choices and we ordered the vegetable steamed dumplings, shrimp shumai, and pan fried pork soup dumplings. All were excellent- I could tell they were house made. I was disappointed that pan frying leaves no soup in the soup dumplings, so I will get them steamed next time. Soup dumplings was kinda meh... the dumplings skin is on the thicker side and I personally prefer ding tai feng soup dumplings. But compared to other soup dumplings in Cincy, this would be better. Starting off with the "5 star" portion of the rating: service was excellent and the restaurant itself if beautiful. We loved watching how the dumplings are made (window showcases dumpling making right when you walk in) and they did a spectacular job on the decor / vibe of the restaurant. Only reason I am giving this a 4 is that the pictures on the menu didn't look like what we ordered in a few cases and there was no spice level noted. I got the Dan Dan noodles for my kids only to find it was too spicy for them (and me!) to eat. The shumai is shown as steamed - and while it noted it was fried, we just saw the picture and immediately ordered! Totally our bad on that one but we also ordered chicken dumplings and they were orange (vs white in the picture) because they used pumpkin to give it some color. The dumplings all tasted good but it was a bit of a shock to see them looking very different than what was on the plate! One of our friends ordered an eggplant dish - which was delicious. Fantastic place! Menu is a bit overwhelming. We shared the pork dumplings in chili oil. My husband ordered a sizzling beef dish and asked for extra vegetables. So tender and delicious. I ordered the Szechuan fried fish comes with a ton of hot peppers. I added some vinegar that was on the table and it made the flavor pop. Friends got the lo mein and the Dan Dan noodles. Portions are large and food comes out super fast. Great service very nice decor. Finished with the sesame balls for dessert. Place fills up quickly. No reservations taken. They have beer and wine.
