I usually love Auntie Apple's Kitchen, but my recent experience left too much room for improvement. My family and I order Auntie Apple's through DoorDash. The food is always amazing and we've never had any problems, which is why we continue to pay so much to order it. Last week when we ordered, half of my food was missing. We received a message from the restaurant after the food had already been picked up saying they were out of what I had ordered. They hadn't called us while processing our order or offered to substitute it with something else, so I just had nothing to eat while my partner ate in front of me. I had to go to a different restaurant for food so I wasn't left hungry for the night. I'm extremely disappointed with how this experience went and it has somewhat impacted if I'll return as a customer. The communication about this was terrible and while we did receive a refund for the food we didn't get, I'm overly disappointed with how they didn't call to let us know and I didn't have dinner after waiting an hour for the delivery. The food is great, I just wish I had actually gotten what I previously remembered. read more

We love Auntie Apple's so much that we drive down from Fairfield just to see them! They are simply the best. This year we went on Xmas and it was such a treat! Thank you thank you thank you for being open on Xmas!!! I always get the mapo tofu. I love that they offer it without pork right on the menu so that I don't feel bad for asking lol. The sauce is different from other mapo tofu I have had - it's gelatinous, a little sweet and very gingery, not very spicy. Ugh it's so good! I could eat it every day. We have tried a bit of the menu at this point (still need to branch out more!), the lo mein is also a highlight. Best lo mein I've had ever? I think it's safe to say!! Also love the string beans and shredded cabbage. Beef brisket noodle soup was really good too. They are so so sweet here, the girl who takes our order is way too nice and doesn't mind when we ask a million questions. She's always so cheerful and kind! There's also an older lady (auntie, is it you??) who is so warm and welcoming and remembers us when we come in lol. We didn't see her on Xmas and we missed her! There's also a very nice guy. We noticed that they have a Millennialcore plant wall & neon lighting now and the decor is a little bit spruced up. It was never a bad ambience by any stretch, we like the changes though. I was visiting Cincinnati for a buisness trip and was looking for a restaurant that had vegetarian options. A co-worked recommended Auntie Apple Kitchen so we went there for lunch. The restaurant was on the small size but still pretty spacious with a good balance of number of table versus the space. I had as an appetizer the Gyoza which was nice and crispy on the outside and soft in the inside, very tasty. For the main entree I ordered the Braised Tofu which was cooked perfectly along with some fried rice. The fried rice was great, not too salty with just the amount of flavor. My colleage was also very happy with what he ordered. Overall it had great food, friendly service and very resonable prices is. I recommend this restaurant, I will definitely go back to Auntie's next time I am in that area. read more

The restaurant was nice, clean, and not too loud. We were greeted immediately and was instructed to sit anywhere by the hostess, who was also the server. Service was great and the food tasted even better. We ordered the pineapple sweet and sour pork (MUST TRY!), orange chicken, and beef ho fun which is one of my personal favorite dishes. The beef ho fun was immaculate. Everything tasted super fresh and portion sizes were amazing for the price we paid. One of the chefs even came out and checked in on us throughout the meal and even at the end. This is a must try if you come to Cincinnati! I was in Cincinnati for a business trip and needed a spot with some good vegetarian options. A friend suggested Auntie's Apple Kitchen, a Cantonese place, so I gave it a try. For starters, I went with the Gyoza--crispy on the outside and packed with a delicious pork and veggie filling. My colleague had the spring rolls, which were also super crispy and flavorful. For the main course, I had the braised tofu. It was perfectly toasted on the outside and nice and soft on the inside, with plenty of mushrooms and veggies to go with it. We also shared some fried rice, which was seasoned just right--not too salty, like you sometimes get at other places. One of the best Chinese restaurants in town. The food is very delicious. The only downside is the variety because the restaurant is relative small. Hongkongese style food is not as spicy as other Chinese style food, therefore, the quality of raw materials is very important. I've been to auntie apple's kitchen several times after it opened, the owner always use very fresh materials and the price is very reasonable. You can get good Chinese food in Sichuan Palace, but it's too pricy. Similar price suburban Chinese restaurant like Great Tang doesn't use good and fresh materials. Ordered four meals - family of four eating together. Each dish came out separately - there was no one there when we arrived but somehow it took a total of 30 mins to get our food with each person getting their dish ten minutes apart, except for the last dish which took 15 mins extra after the third dish came out.
