Allow me to begin my review with a list of caveats: 1.) I've been gatekeeping for quite some time; 2.) I only order one of two things on the menu. Before you try to judge me, just shut your filthy mouth. This spot has been a Chinese restaurant before, but it was no good, so I've been holding off to review the re-vamped version of the new Chinese spot in Clifton. Admittedly, I've only ever ordered two things here, but damn. Between the flavors and the customer service, I don't need to order anything else. I have absolutely fallen in love with what I KNOW are the best wontons in Cincinnati. The Hong Kong style wonton soup is a perfect mixture of pork and shrimp that results in a juicy, flavorful, plump bit of deliciousness in your mouth. I love that the wonton skin is clearly handmade (decidedly thinner than the average wonton wrapper), and that they don't skimp on the shrimp. I just cannot explain the flavor...or the tenderism!!!!!!! THROW YOUR GLASSES!!! I'm also low-key in love with the shrimp and crab fried rice. I mean, damn. This is tasty AF. My only (minor) beef is that my last portion was packed with shrimp, but there was only one bite of crab meat. Here's what you won't know until it's too late: the lunch portion of the fried rice is only $11, but it's only served prior to 3pm. After that you have to spring for the large portion at $19. I'm not joking when I say two people could easily split the lunch portion. It is generous! You can't split the wonton soup, though, because it's too delicious to share. I know, I know, "you've only eaten two dishes, how can you review this place?" Again, shut your filthy mouth. I've eaten these same two dishes at least a dozen times, THAT's what gives me the authority to tell you this spot is legit. *mic drop* read more

This is a hidden gem of authentic Chinese culinary magic! We had the pork belly in soy sauce with whole roast cloves of garlic and slices of fresh ginger. The house fried rice is light and aromatic, and full of flavors not just salt. We will be eating here often! read more

We love Auntie Apple's so much that we drive down from Fairfield just to see them! They are simply the best. This year we went on Xmas and it was such a treat! Thank you thank you thank you for being open on Xmas!!! I always get the mapo tofu. I love that they offer it without pork right on the menu so that I don't feel bad for asking lol. The sauce is different from other mapo tofu I have had - it's gelatinous, a little sweet and very gingery, not very spicy. Ugh it's so good! I could eat it every day. We have tried a bit of the menu at this point (still need to branch out more!), the lo mein is also a highlight. Best lo mein I've had ever? I think it's safe to say!! Also love the string beans and shredded cabbage. Beef brisket noodle soup was really good too. They are so so sweet here, the girl who takes our order is way too nice and doesn't mind when we ask a million questions. She's always so cheerful and kind! There's also an older lady (auntie, is it you??) who is so warm and welcoming and remembers us when we come in lol. We didn't see her on Xmas and we missed her! There's also a very nice guy. We noticed that they have a Millennialcore plant wall & neon lighting now and the decor is a little bit spruced up. It was never a bad ambience by any stretch, we like the changes though. But it looks like they rebranded and took the auntie out of the name. We love Auntie, whoever she is. And we love Auntie Apple's Kitchen! We'll be back soon!! read more

Quick review. We stopped by for a pre-movie meal. Originally headed for the mediocre Asian place in that location, we were pleasantly surprised to find a new restaurant. Still Asian, but this time clean and friendly and decent food too. If you find yourself craving Asian in Clifton proper, this is the place to go. read more

I usually love Auntie Apple's Kitchen, but my recent experience left too much room for improvement. My family and I order Auntie Apple's through DoorDash. The food is always amazing and we've never had any problems, which is why we continue to pay so much to order it. Last week when we ordered, half of my food was missing. We received a message from the restaurant after the food had already been picked up saying they were out of what I had ordered. They hadn't called us while processing our order or offered to substitute it with something else, so I just had nothing to eat while my partner ate in front of me. I had to go to a different restaurant for food so I wasn't left hungry for the night. I'm extremely disappointed with how this experience went and it has somewhat impacted if I'll return as a customer. The communication about this was terrible and while we did receive a refund for the food we didn't get, I'm overly disappointed with how they didn't call to let us know and I didn't have dinner after waiting an hour for the delivery. The food is great, I just wish I had actually gotten what I previously remembered. read more

Its a nice size place with cute modest decoration and a friendly staff. Right off the bat they made food recommendations and even got to chat with my GF like family. Ordered two dishes and both were somewhat smaller than your average Chinese spot but the quality was much better and worth the trade off. Their HoFun noodle was the best version I ever had and the clam were seasoned and garnished amazingly. I was visiting Cincinnati for a buisness trip and was looking for a restaurant that had vegetarian options. A co-worked recommended Auntie Apple Kitchen so we went there for lunch. The restaurant was on the small size but still pretty spacious with a good balance of number of table versus the space. I had as an appetizer the Gyoza which was nice and crispy on the outside and soft in the inside, very tasty. For the main entree I ordered the Braised Tofu which was cooked perfectly along with some fried rice. The fried rice was great, not too salty with just the amount of flavor. My colleage was also very happy with what he ordered. Overall it had great food, friendly service and very resonable prices is. I recommend this restaurant, I will definitely go back to Auntie's next time I am in that area. read more

I was looking for something to eat after spending a day at Cincinnati Zoo. I was craving Chinese food and came across this restaurant on Yelp with great reviews so I decided to come try. The restaurant was nice, clean, and not too loud. We were greeted immediately and was instructed to sit anywhere by the hostess, who was also the server. Service was great and the food tasted even better. We ordered the pineapple sweet and sour pork (MUST TRY!), orange chicken, and beef ho fun which is one of my personal favorite dishes. The beef ho fun was immaculate. Everything tasted super fresh and portion sizes were amazing for the price we paid. One of the chefs even came out and checked in on us throughout the meal and even at the end. This is a must try if you come to Cincinnati! If I come back to Cincinnati again in the future, I'm definitely revisiting Auntie Apple's Kitchen. read more

I live close by and love eating here with friends when I can. The food is wonderful and the staff is always very friendly. The orange chicken sauce has just the right amount of orange sweetness. I was in Cincinnati for a business trip and needed a spot with some good vegetarian options. A friend suggested Auntie's Apple Kitchen, a Cantonese place, so I gave it a try. For starters, I went with the Gyoza--crispy on the outside and packed with a delicious pork and veggie filling. My colleague had the spring rolls, which were also super crispy and flavorful. For the main course, I had the braised tofu. It was perfectly toasted on the outside and nice and soft on the inside, with plenty of mushrooms and veggies to go with it. We also shared some fried rice, which was seasoned just right--not too salty, like you sometimes get at other places. Overall, the food was great, service was prompt and friendly, and the prices were really reasonable. I'd definitely recommend it and will be stopping by again next time I'm in town read more

Hongkongese style food is not as spicy as other Chinese style food, therefore, the quality of raw materials is very important. I've been to auntie apple's kitchen several times after it opened, the owner always use very fresh materials and the price is very reasonable. You can get good Chinese food in Sichuan Palace, but it's too pricy. Similar price suburban Chinese restaurant like Great Tang doesn't use good and fresh materials. Ordered four meals - family of four eating together. Each dish came out separately - there was no one there when we arrived but somehow it took a total of 30 mins to get our food with each person getting their dish ten minutes apart, except for the last dish which took 15 mins extra after the third dish came out.
