I visited here since it was close to my hotel and there just weren't any great restaurants in the area anyway, plus my colleague likes Thai food. Our experience was ok here. My colleague still found ways to complain, first about the iced tea (supposedly made with tap water) and then about the place not having desserts. They're not listed on the main menu. We later asked and the waitress confirmed they do not have desserts. The closest would be their bubble tea I suppose. I started my meal with a thai tea which was pretty sweet and served in a typical short mug. I ordeed the pad kra pow with beef, level 4 spice. My colleague ordered the pork veggies stir fry with snow pea and baby corn, level 3. When the food came out, my colleagues arrived within about 4 minutes of ordering, his tasted like a level 5 so he thought. Mine came out a couple minutes later and seemed like a level 1. Not sure why mine was so bland and his was so spicy. The beef on my pad kra pow is decent but bland and you don't get very much. Once done, you're left with a big bowl of soup broth basically and lots of bell peppers and onions. There are no diced thai peppers or sliced jalapeños in this dish when ordering level 4. Maybe microscopic red pepper flakes which did not make it spicy. Maybe should have ordered a 5. My colleague seemed to enjoy his dish though. There was a variety of offerings from pad Thai to curries to sushi. I ordered yellow cashew curry and my friend, the pad Thai. Both dishes were flavorful and the texture was perfect. Delicious food and fast service. I trooped to call ahead to place an order for pick up but was unable to get through. I showed up and placed the order and it was ready in less than 10 minutes. The staff apologized for not being able to get through, there was an issue with their phone that day. I ordered the drunken noodles and it was so good, with just the right level of spice (I don't like to sweat because it so hot, I like to have some heat and still be able to taste other flavors). I went for lunch and ordered the shrimp Pad Thai. The decor is nice enough but be aware that unlike some Asian restaurants, they do not have a lunch menu. All dishes are full-sized dinner portions so my lunch was $18.95 which was a lot considering the small portion size. The service seemed slow even though the place wasn't very crowded. I ordered right away but waited a full 15 minutes for my food to come. I can't imagine why it took so long. The Pad Thai was OK but not great. I ordered a heat level of 4 (out of 5) and it wasn't very spicy. I saw some sriracha hot sauce on another table so another customer must have felt the same way. I'm not a big eater but by the time I was done, there wasn't enough left to bother taking home. No alcoholic beverages are available. The combination of no lunch menu, small portion size and slow service makes me wonder if I'll be back there anytime soon. Free parking on the street. read more

Chicken pad Thai, spring rolls, and fried rice was tasty, hot and pretty delicious! They offer sushi but I didn't try so you'll have to come find out for yourself if it's good. Yes, parking there was a challenge, as it's a heavily populated shopping strip -- there are spots in front of both sides of the restaurant but they were all filled. However, I could drive forward, get turned around via the turnaround and park in a larger parking lot on the left-hand side (where the smoothie place is located). I could still see the restaurant, and it was an easy walk. The impression of the restaurant when I walked in was that of casual comfort. It seemed small, but there is an extra elongated room in front that can accommodate larger groups. The staff there was pleasant and answered all of my questions with cheerful patience. The food was very good. I got the red curry with shrimp and the ginger stir-fry. They were both tasty, with just the right amount of spice. None of us liked our food. My son got a curry fried rice, my husband the masala curry, and I had the Thai boat (soup). I requested my soup at a spice level 2 and my husband and son asked for a spice level 3. Mine was so spicy it was inedible. They both tried it and agreed mine was spiced to a 4-5. No one would eat it. My son, who likes spicy food, found his too hot to eat as well. He's taking it home to mix it with other white rice. Main thing is, none of us liked our food. At all. We did select spice #2 on a scale of 0-5 which worked for me but was a little spicy for my 12 and 16 year old daughters. We had Chicken Fried Rice, Pad Thai, Sesame Chicken and Drunken Noodles. We have tried most of the Thai places within 10 miles of our home and Thai Koon has turned out to be our favorite. The serving sizes of the main dishes are very generous for the price point. We order #2 spicy and it's just a light spice that we enjoy. The dishes are well-balanced and the ingredients are fresh and cooked perfectly. They are very accommodating when you would like to switch or add vegetables to the dish. We have tried about 1/3 of the menu and have been happy so far. I did write a note on my to-go menu that their beef is chewy, so probably stay with pork or chicken (unless it was a one-time thing). Man I wish I lived closer this food was so good!!!! We love Thai food so I immediately wanted some after having a not so good dinner the night before. The service was great everyone was so nice. The restaurant isn't very big but it wasn't too noisy it almost feels like a diner. We got the sesame chicken (spice level 2) and the drunken noodles (spice level 3) and they were spectacular. I usually like to get sauce on the side when i get chicken simply because sauce makes the chicken kinda chewy. This chicken was so crispy which made me want to order more to take on the road! This place is awesome! I ordered take out through Uber Eats. Portion sizes are great for the price. The flavor of the food is absolutely incredible! I ordered a chicken pad Thai with an extra side of tofu, Tom kha soup with chicken as the hotpot size, and crab Rangoons. The pad Thai had a great amount of both chicken and tofu. Portion size was incredible! The styrofoam box was stuffed to the brims. I ordered a spice level 3 but I probably will go for the next level up next time (I love spicier food). I love that this place offers a larger size for their soups! I feel like most Thai restaurants only offer the one standard size of soup and sometimes it's just not enough. The hotpot size was a larger Tupperware and again with a good portion of chicken. The crab Rangoon were so flavorful and the sauce that comes with them was very yummy. I was actually impressed by how the restaurant packed them - they cut holes into the corners of the styrofoam. At first I found this to be strange but I quickly understood the purpose of this as for the first time ever with take out, my crab Rangoons were still nice and crispy, as if I was eating them in the restaurant. Wow I really messed up the previous review... we have been here 3-4 times now and I really like it. The first time they were only doing take out due to Covid... We got the pineapple fried rice Spicy Level number one And I thought we got Singapore noodles spicy level number one . My husband did better with it than I do I'm kind of a wimp I took two or three bites and I just couldn't do more my tongue was on fire I went through my beverage and his and I was just in pain . Come to find out They only go up to 5 so getting a 4 is pretty up there And they don't even serve Singapore noodles . So the second time we got the Pineapple fried rice with shrimp And the pad thai with shrimp both just a one and even then it was spicy for me . It was good and I was okay with it but I couldn't have went to a to my husband said he would have been okay with it too But we share Are meals So he's okay with getting it less spicy so that we can share . The second time we came There was an odd smell couldn't figure out what it was we had our masks on for most of the time but whatever it was did not smell great to me . Not sure if we came in an off day, but it seems like the whole restaurant's staff that we can see was on training that day except for the lady who seem to be the owner/manager. She was yelling orders at the servers. It was not packed, but we had waited for few before we got our menu or orders. Our water was served after our food came (we had to ask several times). The food were decent, nothing to write home about. We also waited for our desert which they seemed to forget about. The decors interior were half okay.
