First, the service was so amazing and this place is beautifully decorated. My best friend and I went on a Friday night around 7:30pm so we had about an hour wait. It was well worth the wait. My favorite dim sum place in Ohio now, we live in columbus and would come down to Cincy just for Corner Dumpling house, it's juicy, delicious. If you've tried Din Tai Fung in other places , Corner Dumpling House is still a bit behind taste and flavor wise, however , no Din Tai Fung anywhere close so this is the best choice IMO read more

Five of us went for Friday lunch. It was pretty busy but still had tables. The waitress was helpful and attentive. My Kung Pao chicken was large and great. I took half home. The spicy pork wontons were very good. The beef dry pot was just ok and very spicy. The rest was reported to be good. The food came fast. The ambiance was nice. I would go again. The inside decor creates a welcoming contemporary Chinese interior space with a variety of sections. Hyojin was our delightfully helpful and charming waitress. Their menu was extensive with excellent descriptions and photos making it hard to choose. Their plates were perfect for sharing a variety of choices from scrumptious dumplings to veggie and seafood entrees. I haven't had dumplings this good since visiting Beijing!!! Good meal, the spicy beef dumpling buns our favorite, the crab pork not a favorite. We split the spicy crunchy chicken, nice and spicy but probably should have ordered some veggies on the side or gotten an order of fried rice, a lot of crunchy spicy chicken. Had to checkout Corner Dumpling House to see if all the hype was justified. It was good but not worth waiting in line for good. We got there right at 5 pm and got seated right away but by 5:30 there was a wait. While they are well staffed the service is choppy. Our waitress was helpful pointing out things on the Dim Sum menu to try. We had the steamed crab meat and pork soup dumplings, the pan fried pork dumplings and the scallion pancake. We also had an order of chicken fried rice and drunken noodles with chicken. The food just comes out randomly and is dropped off by a guy. There is no order to how the food comes out. They delivered the scallion pancake then the drunken noodles, then the soup dumplings and then the fried rice followed by the pork dumplings. The dumplings and the drunken noodles were good and worthy of a four, but the chicken fried rice had no flavor and was not worth a two. How hard is it to make chicken fried rice? On top of that every time the door opens there is this loud annoying beep. At least I think it was coming from the door. I am not saying don't try this place but don't believe all the hype. First time ever trying Dim Sum and definitely won't be the last. This is a newer place that opened in the old Korea House location at Harpers Point. Everything we tried was delicious. We were given chicken that was mostly breading and the most dry chicken I've tasted in awhile. For the price I was shocked. Pork soup dumplings! Enough said. Ok maybe a few more things... the place was well run. Decor update looks great. We also ordered a the pepper beef, steamed pork buns, and Shang Hai Shumai. All items were good, but not great. The pork soup dumplings were great. I was also not clear how to eat the appetizers. The small peanuts and sunflower seeds had shells, but there was no receptacle to store the shells. The spicy peanuts were tasty. Worth the wait!! This place deserves its hype. We ordered 6 different kinds of dumplings to share - our server reccomended the pan fried chicken dumplings and a sautéed green bean dish to round out our order, and they were the favorites of the meal. When you walk in you can see them making the dumplings!! We had plain pork soup dumplings, pork and shrimp soup dumplings, steamed beef buns and Japanese gyoza. For us, the plain pork soup dumplings where the star of the table - Salty, umami, rich broth inside. Makes my mouth water writing this review. Decor is contemporary and fresh. They opened just on July 4. So it's still looking new. Love the art (??) on the wall to left. Looks like a city with birds above it. Interesting display. Service was great. She checked in often without being intrusive. I'm vegetarian and while there aren't a ton of dim sum options, everything I got was so good. I had the sesame sauce noodles which are in like a thick peanut sauce and have a slight kick to them, the scallion pancakes which were fresh and hot and so good, the vegetable dumplings, and the sautéed string beans (not dim sum but one of my fav things). Don't skip the sesame balls for dessert- they're filled with red bean paste and so delicious. My boyfriend loved everything he got too, but you can skip the wontons. On a Friday or Saturday night be prepared to wait 1+ hours for a table (no call ahead seating or reservations) but it's well worth it. Sadly, I can NOT recommend this restaurant. While the soup dumplings are novel, I have had better pan fried dumplings and scallion pancakes at several other restaurants, including Uncle Yips, Sichuan Chili, and Grand Oriental. Additionally, service was TERRIBLE. Our server essentially avoided our table, did not offer refills on water, and our orders did not arrive for a HOUR--long after those seated after us had been received their orders. The reasons offered as an explanation for why our dumplings were so delayed (a kitchen shift change in the middle of the Saturday night dinner service and batch cooking of the eponymous dumplings) seem a mere pretext when all around us received their orders, including dumplings, in an expeditious manner. We arrived about 6:30pm on Saturday. The restaurant was busy--as expected at that time--and we were added to the list. We entertained ourselves browsing at the adjacent shopping center and returned as our seating time approached. Once we were seated, it took at least 10 minutes for our server to approach our table to ask for our drinks order. I was a little surprised by the wait, but the restaurant was busy and it gave us time to review the menus. Once she brought our waters we placed our orders for several kinds of dumplings and pancakes. Our server did not return to our table for 40 minutes--and that was only AFTER we flagged her down to inquire about our orders! At no point during that 40 minutes anyone refill our water glasses. Furthermore, during that period we had observed several other tables around us be seated with new customers, all of whom had received their dinner orders --including dumplings--before we were able to catch our server's eye. When we inquired about our order--pointing out all the new customers around us who had already received their meals, our server apologied. She explained that there a had been, essentially, a shift change in the kitchen and stated we should receive our order shortly. We had to request more water before she left the table, as it had not been provided or offered. At that point the server did offer a complimentary lemonade or matcha, which we declined. It was an additional 10 minutes before the first of our orders (scallion pancakes) arrived. The remainder of our order (various dumplings) staggered out, taking an additional 10 minues for the last to arrive. According to the server, the dumplings were made in batches, so we had to wait until the appropriate batches were made to receive our dumpling selections. Again, no water refills were offered. We subsequently had to flag down our server to request our checks. Frankly, it seems unlikely that there was a shift change in the kitchen during the height of the dinner rush on a Saturday. (If that is truly what happened, that seems an odd way to manage a restaurant.) More to the point, it doesn't explain why persons whose orders were taken 20 and 30 minutes AFTER ours received their orders (dumplings, stirfrys, etc.,) before we received any portion of our orders. If our orders had been lost, simply acknowledging that --and expediting our orders at that point--would have been preferable. It would also have been the way that such a situation would have been handled at any other restaurant in the area. At no time did a manager stop by the table to check in on us or to address the situation. I am white, and it was only after we left that I realized my companion was the only black customer on our half of the restaurant--possibly the whole restaurant. I do hope that wasn't the reason our order was the one that didn't get attended to during the "shift change," and wasn't expedited once the discrepancy was brought to our server's attention. read more

I used to go to Shanghai on business and loved the food especially dumplings. This place has authentic Chinese food like I had there. Lots of Chinese people eating when we were there so obviously the word is getting around in the community. The soup dumplings are especially good. The service was excellent with very attentive staff. We arrived on Thursday evening around 7, the place was packed. We ( 2 old folks and teenage grandson) waited about 30 minutes for a table - exactly what was told! Service was very good and very pleasant! We ate - A Lot! We had chicken soup dumplings- very, very good, so flavorful. Then the pork dumplings with spicy chili sauce- perfect! Not too spicy. Again - so much good flavor. The pan fried beef dumplings took a bit longer but once again- delicious! Then we ordered chicken drunken noodles and the West lake beef soup. The noodles were very good and the chicken so tender! The soup was delicately seasoned and had a lovely taste. Was sorry that I did not have room to order the steamed buns but I will return and try them! My grandson ordered another order of the chicken soup dumplings to go! He enjoyed every bite.
