I'm going to go middle of road here. This was my first time to Tennessee and my first bbq in the Memphis area. Here's a short breakdown. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was mostly clean. My ribs were forgotten and I had to go ask for them, which only took a couple of more minutes for them to come out. The ribs had the membrane left on and were basically like a crunchy sheet of paper on the backside of the ribs which the meat was stuck to after it pulled off of the bones. If the membrane had been removed the ribs would have been quite better. I did enjoy both of the flavors. The grits and potato salad were both tasty. After the ribs came out, I asked if there were any other sauce options. She said there were and brought a couple of bottles. One was so empty I held it upside down for like a min to see if I could get a drop out. Me and my gf had a good little laugh. We went here for lunch and it wasn't a good experience. Our waitress was polite but she had us seat ourselves and then did not come to take our drink order for nearly 10 minutes. I noticed our table was filthy (cleanest one we could find), and asked for a wet rag. She seemed bothered but when and got one and wiped the table but it was still visibly dirty afterwards. Throughout the meal I noticed ants crawling across the table which is pretty awful for an indoor eatery. My pulled pork was lukewarm when it arrived, my beans looked like they had been in the cup since the order went in, and the burnt ends looked lackluster as well. I had to ask for a to-go box 3 times, the service was questionable, and the food wasn't great. And for $60, I expect better. I don't live here but if I did I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. read more

Went around lunch today for my birthday, Asia was our server.Right off the bat the bread plates were used and greasy and , I told her they were dirty, she stared at me.The bread was undercooked and cold. Took forever to get our drinks. Finally we got our food. Had more coleslaw than pulled pork, my husband's slab was over cooked. We were never asked about our meal or offered refills. Our server would look at us and keep walking. We normally order takeout and decided to dine in today. I went to the ladies room and the toilet was filled to the top and poop was sprayed all over the lid and tank. I just walked out. We had to hunt down our server for the check. I'm not a big BBQ person. There's a buffet but it's just not something I would think of to go to. We often get this to go. I didn't like the mac and cheese we got to go but I seemed to like it on the buffet so I'm not sure if we just got a bad batch that day. I loved the spicy chicken so I will def ask my family to get that every time from now on. I always have to have bbq when I visit Memphis. Went to this location and people were leaving and no one was left in the place so we had it to ourselves. The server and manager were very friendly. Three stars is spot on for this place. Food came sloppy as hell, overstuffed in open broken styrofoam containers. Every person who allowed this to go from kitchen to me is a failure to this companies investment. It doesn't matter what the place looks like, how much marketing you do, or where you open. If the people are not inspired to care about what they serve, you will not fully prosper. Ribs should come wrapped in foil and separate to retain heat and keep them somewhat moist. Speaking of that, the ribs were tough, dry, and ranged from fair to inedible. I got dry rub and the wifey got the sauced. Both were equally bad. Catfish was ok, it needed a bit longer in the fryer because of how big it was. Flavor was pretty good. It was fully soft and had zero crunch unfortunately. This again is a packaging failure. No vents on the box, all shoved in together with a big container of cold tartar sauce. It popped open before we got it as well to add to the food arriving limp and chilly. Beans are too sugary sweet for me. Hushpuppies I dig! I should have gotten more of them. We thought we were getting food from the Olive Branch location through DoorDash, but it was sent to this one in Collierville. I think the OB is leaps and bounds better in my opinion. Think Denny's, but barbecue. Not bad, not great. Easy for kids. Has easy parking, good customer service, has a $35 meal for two that comes with 4 meats and 4 sides. It's really a meal for 3 people. Overall, not terrible, but definitely reheat feel. read more

8-27-25 We were there for lunch and everything was good except for the fact that the water tasted bit moldy. When water isn't clean to drink it is because the ice machine may not be clean. The ice machine must be clean every time to avoid molding to form. Especially, when the mold is black and it can get you sick or die from too much of it. On our return visit Service: Sorry but it was really cheap and inhospitable. We ordered a full rack of ribs, half a pound of brisket, a sandwich and half a dozen rolls. We are from out of town staying at a hotel and had no utensils or plates. I asked for at least a couple of plates. I was told those are reserved for "big" orders only. C'mon. Really, so cheap and inhospitable I can't ever see myself coming back again for that reason alone. Food: rolls were the best part of the meal. Pretty tasty. But the ribs were tough and overly dry. That's supposed to be their specialty, right? What happened? They used to be good. I wanted dry rub - not dry ribs. Brisket - ack, stay away from this. It tasted and looked like the sole of my shoe. We brought family from out of town to your Collierville location today for lunch. Our guests were really excited to try the best ribs in Memphis, so we knew Corky's was the perfect choice! Unfortunately we had the worst experience at a Corky's from the cleanliness, to food quality, to service, and even to getting our bill at the end of our visit. I'll start with cleanliness. When we were seated at our booth, the table was a bit dirty and sticky, and we had to ask three times for it to be cleaned. When the server finally came over, she used a damp cloth but unfortunately ended up wiping sticky crumbs into our laps. To make matters worse, after eating the ribs we found the wet naps to be dried-up and unable to be used. So when one of our guests went to wash up in the restroom he found the men's restroom to be dirty and lacking towels. As for the food quality, we ordered a couple of pulled pork sandwich plates, a classic pulled pork sandwich, a full slab of the muddy ribs with sides, and a combo with brisket and half a slab of ribs. The buns were quite hard, almost stale, and the pulled pork was full of tough, gristly bits. The brisket was a bit unappetizing with its grey color, and honestly, none of the meats had much flavor--it felt like they had gone without seasoning. The fries, too, appeared overdone and tasted kind of freezer burned instead of fresh. In terms of service, our server didn't seem very friendly or attentive. We had to ask multiple times for the table to be cleaned, and our orders didn't all come out together. The sandwiches came out first, but one of them wasn't even made correctly. I found myself getting up to grab napkins after asking for them several times, and we also had to ask a few times for a box for our leftover ribs before one of our guests went to get it themselves. We ended up having to go to the register to get our bills after asking for them multiple times. I received what looks like a bag of garden salad from Kroger. Literally nothing different. It suppose to come with Grape Tomatoes, Red Onions, Cucumbers, Croutons, Bacon & Toasted Pecans. The service here has never been that good. Their pulled pork barbecue is usually dried out, fatty, and burned. The frozen pulled pork that is sold in the grocery stores is far superior than what is ostensibly supposed to be fresher in this restaurant.
