Well - let me start by saying our first visit was during the soft opening - and we have gone multiple times a month since. Eating healthy has never been so easy. CoreLife is the PERFECT place to get my meat and taters husband to eat a gosh darn salad (he gets the Steak one, but still). It is good when you want something a little more health conscious but fast, and the rotating variety means you aren't in for some regular, boring salad. I love that they have grains, greens, and even broth bowls - noodles, veggies, so many add ons! Being Veg*an, I can always find plenty of modifications to the bowls to meet my appetite - and always get full, even sometimes getting a few meals out of a big bowl. Some favorites include the Ancient Grain and Sriracha Tofu bowl, the Spicy Noodle Bowl sub tofu, and the Korean BBQ bowl sub tofu - anything with kick! You can also adjust your dressings or add some spicy sauces when it's being assembled down the line. I also tend to get a side of the roasted veggie side option regardless of what it is and/or the falafel - and it does not usually disappoint. I also love that they don't have sodas - just amazing made in house juices, teas, and cold brew coffee. Try the Beet or Cranberry Cayenne Lemonade if you can! There's a nice sidewalk patio in the front to sit at on warmer days, but it's a hassle to bring your food out without getting bumped by people walking in. Next thing you know, your lovely drink and meal could be on the floor. I think they need an automatic door elsewhere to get out. Corelife Eatery I have so much joy for another healthy restaurant opening in Indiana. Cora life eatery is located near Keystone at the Crossing. It is located in the smaller strip mall with an easy in and out. Once I drove past corelife eatery and saw the signs it was now open I knew I had to try it. Finally I had the option to try poor life eatery, I was so impressed. I ordered a Vegan broth bowl, the shiitake mushroom & roasted tofu and it was super delicious. It was not overly loaded with salt which made me extremely happy. However, I would have wished for it to have a little more flavor. I was pleasantly impressed with the amount of vegetables put in the dish. (See pictured) I also tried some of the sriracha ginger roasted tofu vegan salad and it was delicious as well. It had a slightly kick of spicy, and a sweet taste too! (See pictured) Also see picture some vegetable sides. They offer a complementary bread and they have a wide selection of delicious juices. I had to try nearly a sip of almost every juice just because they all sounded so delicious, and free refills are super nice to have! With so many great menu options that are healthy, what's the new year coming around you've got to give this restaurant a shot to help you meet your New Year's resolution goals. Whether you're a vegan, vegetarian, or animal flesh eater I'm sure you'll find something on the menu to satisfy that craving vegetables do you know you need to have. I've been driving past Corelife since it opened. It has a convenient location between Castleton mall and the Keystone Fashion Mall. In a small strip mall with a parking lot at an intersection with a stoplight so it's easy to get in and out. My friend and I have both never been and wanted to try something new! We decided on Corelife because my sister had read the Buzzfeed article saying Corelife was the restaurant to try in 2018 according to YELP! (So thanks everyone for the reviews so far!). When you walk in you immediately feel healthy- haha! It's big, bright and spacious. You order at the counter to pick your ingredients and pay at the end, similar to many fast casual places. I decided to order a Power Plate. That includes a base - either salad or grains, protein and veggies. So I had a salad, hummus with 3 fried falafel balls and a scoop of each veggie - brussel sprouts and root vegetable medley. Everything was absolutely delicious. My favorite part was the drink bar! There are around 10 different lemonades or teas to try. My favorite was the apple cider lemonade, but I also tried the beet lemonade and coconut water fruit punch. I would definitely return to try the other entrees. The only reason I didn't rate a 5/5 is because my plate had some hidden spiciness that I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Talk about eating for health! We visited here on a Saturday evening after an intense workout. I was pleased to see that the line was very short and there was plenty of seating for guests. Everything was nice and clean as well. This restaurant displays this menu in two ways- a board overhead the food and also on the wall while you wait in line. They have tons of options for food and food allergies are clearly listed. The style is kinda similar to chipotle- all of the toppings are displayed in front of you and you can create your own bowl if you'd like. Or, if you're not feeling creative, you can select something on the menu. They have grain bowls, salads, and bone broth bowls. I'd been eyeballing CoreLife Eatery since first seeing the sign go up on their building. Now in eight states, CoreLife emphasizes real, whole food and tries to locally source much of what it serves. Additionally, they look for food and drinks that are organic and GMO free. They start off with green bowls, grain bowls, and broth bowls with a create-your-own option that starts at $5.95 in pricing and goes up from there based upon the ingredients that you include. They serve hand-crafted drinks including a variety of lemonades, iced teas and even a cold brew iced coffee option - again, they are all organic. Oh, and don't you dare look for the soft drink options. You won't find them here. The bowl options come in three sizes - small, big and double-portion. It seemed to me like they default to the "big" as I wasn't asked what size I wanted and I ended up with the "big." (I actually wanted the small, but I won't really fault them here as I could have spoken up). All of the bowls have recommended ingredients, though you are able to customize them. As a newbie to this kind of dining, I will confess that the idea of customizing felt a bit overwhelming and I essentially went with what was recommended for my chosen bowl - a Spicy Chicken and Ancient Grains concoction that includes warm quinoa, antibiotic-free chicken, sriracha, shredded kale, broccoli, carrots, raw beets and scallions. They suggest it with lime cilanto jalapeno dressing and I went with their recommendation. I also ordered a drink, I will confess I find the small cups a tad irritating, but I did end up enjoying the cold brew coffee from Recess Coffees. As I noted, I'd have likely preferred the smaller bowl. As I was experimenting, I really wasn't sure about bowl sizes and if I would resonate with this type of dining. My response? I enjoyed the meal, but I wasn't blown away by it. In fact, I instantly thought "I should have customized" as certain small changes would have left me much happier. Indeed, the bowl was a bit more than I actually needed and next time I will definitely order the small. At just over $12, the serving size was reasonable and it was a healthy meal for a fair price. The staff was friendly, though not particularly helpful. That said, the experience is a lot like Piada where you enter through what resembles a cafeteria line and ultimately you're really supposed to know what you want by the time you get in the line - menus are available at the start of the line. I suppose I was just a tad too inexperienced with this kind of dining and ended up feeling not quite informed enough to make a choice that fit my taste buds. I wasn't unhappy, not by any means, but I would make different choices if I return (which is likely). Most of CoreLife is very wheelchair friendly, a pleasant surprise as this is not always true with healthier dining options. They have accessible spots out front including a van friendly spot. They have appropriate curb cuts, though the door itself is just a touch heavy. It was a nice touch that an employee working the floor did see me about to leave and was at the door as I left. The tables looked almost completely wheelchair friendly and the drink area is at a nice height, though the napkins are a bit too high. Overall, I was happy with my experience at CoreLife but not quite to the 5-star experience partly because of the assumed bowl size and partly because I just wish the employees had come off more like advocates for healthy dining rather than cafeteria workers. That said, the more I become better informed this opinion may very well change. CoreLife Eatery was doing a brisk business and I've already got multiple friends who swear by the place. Indeed, I will definitely return and I may opt for a plate option - which serves up the same food in a more traditional meal that may be more to my liking.
