Went back tonight and am still in love with this place. There has been an ownership change and a few tweaks to the menu. Our server was very friendly and welcoming. He gave great input into his favorite items and I got the cochinita pibil. It was very good. Tons of flavor and made correct. My wife had the enchiladas suizas which were amazing. There was three and a great value. Lastly my mom got the beer battered fish tacos and she said they were the best she's had in Phoenix. So glad this place changed hands but still hits all the marks. After a long drive we were looking forward to a nice meal, after surfing yelp we decided on this place. We got there around six and the place looked pretty empty, We went up to the lady at the podium who asked us if we had reservations. Well no, no we did not. After some hyming and hawing we were seated at a table but we're warned that the table had been reserved and we might have to move. Ok... Food was not good at all, tortilla soup was the only good thing for me. Tacos de carne asada, dry as the desert surrounding us. Enchiladas de mole negro were not good, sauce was watery. Tiny cup of rice to go with that. We ordered the "chicharon a toda madre". What we got instead was the ribeye chicharrón . You would think that would be a win, but it was not. The ribeye was dry and again flavorless. It had a mild metallic flavor to it. The guacamole, missing salt and lime to anyone's taste. We told the waiter that he had given us a wrong order. He insisted we were wrong and what we were eating was Chicharron, pork belly. Maybe I'm going crazy, maybe it was the desert heat but that was not pork belly. We again brought it to his attention and he told us he was sorry that he misheard us. Damage done. Subpar food and subpar service. This place was an unexpected gem in a random plaza. We saw that on weekends we should go early due to limited size of place and we got there at 5 on Saturday. Seemed to be a good move on our part. We started with margaritas and agua frescas and they did not disappoint. We opted for chips and guac and were stoked because the guac was fresh and the salsas and bean dip was delish! We had both rojo and negro mole as well as quesabirria tacos and we couldn't have been happier. Everything was so fresh and incredibly tasty. Service was excellent. Walked in around 4 PM and the place was so quiet I almost missed it, but I'm so glad I didn't. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the food was absolutely out of this world. We like to try new places and Corazon De Agave caught our eye. While the exterior is consistent with the typical mall restaurant drab design, inside this eatery is utterly charming! Comfortable seating, bright surroundings, and a true Mexican vibe lends itself to feeling like you're on vacation. There is a cute bar and a combination of high tops and customary tables and chairs. Unfortunately the day we visited there was only one server on the premises but we will presume that someone had called in sick that day. You can't go wrong on the food. Scrumptious quesa fundidos with chorizo crumble was served but I recommend they bring more than 3 tortillas to the table. Steak tacos were good and the chicken tortillas were totally delicious!! The prices are on the high side, making it somewhat difficult to try an assortment of offerings. Drink prices are also high, and I believe slightly lower prices would result in more rounds being purchased. The flan is to die for. We came in on a Sunday for lunch after reading some reviews online. It's a cute place with a modern design. The bar area is small but well stocked. It has an upscale feel and the restaurant area was very clean. We were promptly seated and our server brought a small plate with nice thick tortilla chips, 2 different sauces and a small dish of bean dip. The menu had a great selection of items including choices from their lunch menu. My husband ordered Taco De Pescado and I chose Quesabirrias With Consome. I enjoyed my lunch (although my dish was a bit greasy and needed an acidic element to cut the fat) and my husband really loved his tacos. Spiffy new place in a suburban strip mall with high end Mexican cuisine and a modern vibe. Sis and I went for a Thursday night dinner after 7pm. No wait for seating in this overly bright, white room with wood lamps and green plant accents. Lovely bar along the back. We started with guacamole and chips, which was an immediate photographic opportunity because it looks different, using cubes of avocado for a beautiful change of pace. Chips were light and not too salty. Sis ordered garlic shrimp and I had the chicken enchiladas Suizas. Both came with a different rice. The shrimp were fully cooked but not as browned as we would prefer. Nice flavor. Salad of lettuce, cucumber, tomato and avocado came with the shrimp. The rice with this plate was a buttery white rice. The enchiladas Suizas were gooey with a succulent green sauce, crema drizzle and packed with shredded tender white meat. I ate only half of the three. The red onions on top were way too thick. Otherwise lovely. This dish was accompanied by a nice orange Spanish rice with a few peas. Very enjoyable and good quality and preparation. I also had a house margarita for $5 with a tajin rim. It was a pretty large glass, although not super strong it had a nice flavor and was clearly not from a bottled mixer. I appreciate an affordable cocktail even outside of happy hour! Hubby was unsure of the menu since his go to favorites are nachos and Chimichangas, but he ordered the enchiladas suiza's and really liked them. I ordered the Corazon salad with shrimp. So yummy! Perfect blend of flavors. I know I'm going to dream about that salad! For an appetizer we order the guacamole. It came out with chunks of avocado in it and was served with a side of mild green and spicy red salsa. With a side of refried beans as a dip. So tasty! We definitely would eat here again! Me and my family stopped by here on a Sunday. We were told it would be a slight wait until we could be seated but no problem! We don't mind waiting. About 10 mins later, the host told us our table was ready and seated us. We were browsing the menu and were so excited to try everything, especially the drinks! We had been sitting at our table for about 20 mins and no one had yet to greet us. No one brought us water, no one took our drink order, no one greeted us. Nothing. For 20 mins. My entire family works in the service industry so we're very understanding people but this experience was terrible. If they were busy/running behind/understaffed, then the staff could have at least greeted us and let us know that they were busy, but no. Literally nothing was said to us for 20 mins. And it's not like the restaurant is really big and they missed us. We were 10 feet from the host stand. But still no one noticed. It was even more frustrating because the tables to our left and right had their servers attending them very well. But we were overlooked. One of us finally got up to tell the host that we had not been helped at all and she had the nerve to say "oh really?" I find it very hard to believe she didn't notice considering we were sitting 10 feet away from her. After that we just got up and left. We went outside and some guy (I'm assuming the manager or owner) followed us out and apologized. He said a mistake was made and invited us back in. But after our terrible experience we did not want to go back in at all. It was completely unacceptable to not have been greeted for 20 mins. We had also seen this same exact guy earlier talking on his phone by the bar and not helping take care of customers at all. Terrible service. It's sad cause the food and drinks did sound really good! But the service was absolutely horrendous. This place has a lot of potential but will not last very long if they can't improve on their customer service. read more

A beautiful place with modern decor, I especially loved the light fixtures. Our server was kind and made sure we had everything we needed. We were the only people dining-in the whole time we were there, but it did seem like there were a few take out orders. I love Mexican food, but was in the mood for a salad. The salad was amazing with lots of generous amounts of all the ingredients and the shrimp were perfectly grilled. The salad had all the toppings in little piles on top; as I struggled to mix it without making a mess, I wished I had asked for a plate to serve it on. By the time I reached the bottom, the ratios were off and it was mostly just the lettuce. I also wish the music had been a little quieter, we struggled to hear each other talking and felt like we were shouting. I grew up on Mexican food and I saw this place and decided to stop by to eat. Right away, I noticed the nice modern Mexican ambiance on the inside, there was Mexican music playing and nice decor with Spanish quotes on the wall, the bar along the wall is a great place for groups especially with the variety of cocktails. The food, firstly I was given free tostadas with a delicious refried bean dip with a cheese crumble, green and red salsa which tasted fresh. I ordered the Queso Fundido con Chorizo as a starter, unfortunately no picture included, mainly because I devour it very quickly, the gooey cheese and the hint of chorizo is an addicting combo, it also comes with 4 corn or flour tortillas, great for sharing. For my entree I got the Enchiladas Rojas with a side of red rice and refried beans, the enchiladas are stuffed with chicken that could've been an entree on its own, but in addition to that there is a delicious red sauce, crema drizzle with a cilantro and red onion on top, which is a nice addition to the already delicious enchiladas. The red rice was also great, not to mushy like other restaurants make their red rice, but it was a great flavor and consistency. Finally, for dessert I've had the Flan, a really smooth and sweet dessert with a caramel drizzle, and whipped cream. The service was exceptional, but to be fair it started getting busier as the night went on, and it seemed like there was only 2 servers that night. Unfortunately I didn't get my servers name, but he did his very best to make sure I was taken care of, despite the busy night. Overall I recommend this place to everyone but especially to groups who are in the mood for Mexican food and cocktails, as it is a great place with a great ambiance that serves great food. read more
