We arrived at the small plaza with a small parking lot today (Saturday) around 10:15 a.m. & luckily enough, it was a quiet start to the day as parking was plentiful though I can imagine it being a bit hectic during busy times. This location (there are 2 others) is in the plaza right next to the Richmond Hill location for AI Sushi. As soon as we entered, we were promptly greeted & seated at a nice corner table. Shortly after that, a nice gentleman came to placed a QR code at our table asking if we've been here before. After we said no, he explained to us how to order using the QR code. We can all scan and order individually then it shows up as one large order for the table. I think he said he can split the bill if needed & we would just need to let him know. The place itself was nice. A bit above casual with around 20 tables inside. Well light and seemed clean. I ordered the Thai red curry pasta with clams, hubby and our friend both ordered the chicken and waffles, and my cousin ordered the mushroom benedict. We all ordered a drink (hubby a flat white with the rest ordering some type of latte). Our food came pretty quickly. My pasta was delicious and had good heat (spicy kick) to it & the red curry sauce was full of deep rich flavors. I enjoyed the clams but they were a bit small so it's taste got overpowered by the sauce. I would have preferred it if they gave me fewer but larger clams. I had a taste of my hubby's fried chicken & it was really good. The batter was well seasoned & crispy but not oily and the chicken thigh was moist. The staff know what they are doing there. We were asked whether we are enjoying our food & they always made sure our water glasses were full. I highly recommend this place & am looking forward to my next visit there!

Picture a perfect Sunday: rising a touch later, a two-hour workout in the morning, then brunch at Markham Station Richmond Hill, anywhere from the all-day three-egg breakfast to the sandwiches or even the souvlaki plate, all accompanied, naturally, by bottomless drip coffee. That, to me, is perfection. The food is invariably fresh and has been consistently excellent over the years. I am especially devoted to the shoestring fries, which are inexplicably moreish yet somehow light. I shall gatekeep no longer: I adore this place. The service is unfailingly warm and gracious, and the atmosphere is snug and convivial, just as a proper diner should be. It may lack the chrome-and-vinyl nostalgia of a 1950s or 60s American diner, but the spirit endures at Markham Station.

When we arrived it was busy and there was one table open near the entrance and were told we could have that table once it had been cleared. There person who seats you also takes your order, brings your order to the table and clears the table. There was another person preparing drinks and we only saw him come out from behind the counter when there were no drink orders. It took a while for her to clear our table. At one point she stood behind the counter with a look on her face that could be best described as '...what do I do first..' What was ordered: Kale Caesar Salad - fresh croutons with generous bits of bacon; very lightly dressed Chicken and Waffles - 2 drumsticks and a breast served with 4 pieces of waffle and a small side salad Shrimp Eggs Benny - 2 deep fried shrimp patties; served with baby potatoes and a side salad The chicken was very crispy and still juicy but based on the colour of the fry the oil needs to be changed. It came with 2 small containers of syrup (not real maple syrup) and some that looked like plum sauce. The potatoes on the eggs Benny were good but when you deep fry the shrimp patty you wonder what other filler there might be in the patties. Service was decent despite the fact that there was one person who served and cleaned. An okay experience....not sure it warrants another return.

I mean all brunch places are pretty expensive now... Portions were HUGE!! I got the hot tiramisu latte although iced was recommended. It came with the donut top and a finger lady. It was pretty delicious. Also got the strawberry smoothie which came in a plastic cup, so I guess it's more meant for kids. The wedges were a bit soft though.. I wish it was a bit more crispy. I would say it's more asian fusion than your typical western style brunch restaurants. I think it's worth trying if you're in the area.

They checked in on us a few times Food - 4/5: the food was good. At first, I thought it wouldn't be filling because it looked small but it was actully filling. We ordered: - burger steak omurice: the egg was runny like it is supposed to when you crack into it. The burger was medium to medium well but moist and seasoned lightly - curry udon: the curry was flavourful, just a tad salty for me. It carried throughout the whole dish - tako wasabi: the wasabi really packed a punch. I think this is the spiciest I've ever had (not in a bad way, just didn't expect it) - sea salted edamame: lightly salted, the edamame was slightly undercooked in my opinion - Mango Kori: similar to a mango slushy. It was good Overall: 4/5 - a great little place for a quick bite. I would come back

I also really liked that there was a little bit of everything on the table, from lighter dishes to richer ones, so the meal never felt boring. The vibe inside is cozy and relaxed with a modern café-bistro feel. It's bright, welcoming, and definitely lives up to the name "Chillax." It feels like the kind of place you can sit and enjoy a slow brunch or a casual dinner without feeling rushed. For brunch, two dishes really stood out. The braised pork eggs Benedict was fantastic. The pork was tender and flavorful, and it paired perfectly with the creamy hollandaise and poached eggs. The gochujang fried chicken brioche burger was another highlight. The chicken was crispy with just the right amount of spice, and the soft brioche bun tied everything together. We also came back for dinner and tried the seafood paella, which was rich, comforting, and packed with seafood. It's definitely a great dish to share. For drinks, the cheesy mango ice matcha was surprisingly good. The mango adds sweetness while the cheese foam makes it creamy and indulgent. A really unique combination that works well. Prices are pretty reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, with most dishes around the $20-$30 range. Overall, it's a great spot for brunch, dinner, or just drinks. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu!

The restaurant was 3/4 empty and I asked for a table further away from the door. The male waiter insisted we sit beside the cash after I kept asking to sit in the back. Note, there was a whole back row of empty tables in the L shaped dining area which would be further from the windy cold day outside. Nope, I do not get it. My companion asked for eggs and bacon with another two sides of bacon, the waiter did not seem to want to take the order for the two extra sides, he said each side was 4 pieces. Yes, we understand and insisted several times before he wrote the order. I wanted the bacon and sausage poutine but if I could switch the fries for potato hash. That was a challenge. I said we'd cover any substitution fees. It was the bacon and hash with extra sausage basically. Thanks for the whole onion mixed into the hash. Onion to potato ratio 1:1. The orders didn't come at the same time. The two sides of bacon came first and some time later his meal and my meal came. Odd. It was all pretty mediocre food. Who knew breakfast could be so difficult. It didn't feel welcoming. It felt like we were annoying him. I will say the female behind the counter was nice. She topped up our coffee frequently.
