Having come back to Canada for the first time in a long while, a friend and I wanted to do brunch. There was a place called Eggstatic that was supposedly the new hot thing. We went to it and there was a thirty minute wait at 11 a.m. For me, when I lived in Toronto more than a decade before, Cora's was the Eggtastic of it's day so I recommended it to my friend and it was less than 10 minutes away. Back in the late 2000's, the lines you saw at Eggstatic were the lines you would see at Cora's. This one was still busy but there were plenty of seats available. I ordered the Theo's Omelette with egg whites, no toast and turkey sausage. Firstly, the coffee, which is unlimited, was good. As was the server, who was attentive and personable. The bad, there was a bunch of them. Firstly I put two pictures in the review, what the food I was hoping to get and what I got. The first thing that my friend and I laughed at was that when I came years ago, they used to pile on the fruit. Here I got a couple of undersized grapes on the vine, a B-grade slice of orange and a thin piece of pineapple. It looked nothing like what was in the picture, no melon, no strawberry, no blueberries.... Secondly the turkey sausage was off, it did not taste right. It had a chemical type of taste to it. I barely ate it. A good homefry should be soft and tender on the inside with a char on the outside. These were cooked all the way through, but they had zero crunch. They were also unsalted as well, which is not how good homefries would be. Finally, the eggs. They weren't bad per se, but as you might be able to see in the picture, the cheese were pooled in the middle, rather than spread out. I asked for hot sauce and they had no sriracha or tobasco. It took them ten minutes to find some old tasting cholula....I guess Canadians don't like spicy foods? My friend did not have much more luck, he ordered a club sandwich and made mention that it tasted old, as if someone had returned an order and it went to him. The quality of this place was once the gold standard. Now, even a low grade Denny's is a better choice, at least you know what to expect there. I lament how bad Cora's had become. If you have any self respect, I suggest waiting the thirty minutes in line for Eggstatic...I heard it's a fantastic brunch place. If it weren't for the server, this place would have gotten one star...I can get good coffee at Tim Hortons. read more

Before we were even finished the server told us that the manager had asked that we leave soon because others were waiting to be seated. He then asked two more times. As we were leaving we saw one party waiting to be seated but many empty tables. I first noticed this Cora's when I came to this plaza to visit Lezzet Shawarma after work. I had parked just in front of Cora's. Our department went out for lunch a few Fridays ago to celebrate a fellow colleague's birthday. She chose Cora's. I told her that I loved her suggestion. It was my first time at this particular location. It's a large, spacious restaurant. We were a group of eight. We were immediately greeted and seated. I didn't want a huge lunch that would make me comatose for the remainder of my workday. I knew that I wanted crepes. I went with the following: - Lemon iced tea - Morning hot dogs in crepes, with cheddar and bacon, with potatoes - Raspberry crepe with English cream The lemon iced tea is Cora's own brand. It's in a small bottle. I was fine with the size. However, if you are thirsty, you don't get more bang for your buck with this drink! I love hot dogs. Whomever decided to take a hot dog, add cheddar and bacon, and wrap a crepe around it is brilliant! You get two of these spruced up hot dogs. They were so tasty and filling. I loved the potatoes that accompanied the morning hot dogs. I had ordered a side of baked beans. They never came. I was glad, as I was so stuffed that I don't know how I would have managed to eat them. Luckily, I was not charged for the baked beans. My colleague with the birthday decided to order a raspberry crepe with English cream. She couldn't finish it all. I decided to cut a piece. It was yummy! It's the perfect dessert crepe. I got a crepe with turkey sausage and it was an absolutely disgusting display of food. The sausages were so cold I don't even think they were cooked, and immediately needed to exit my body. Also, the crepe was basically dry cardboard. It was so inedible and pathetic but they have the NERVE to charge over $12 for this "meal". read more

decided to get breakfast with my fiancé. we were both super hungry. I myself have been to Cora before however not particularly this location. This location by far was the best I have been to. I got my breakfast in a very timely manner, and the waitress was really friendly. I ordered the gargantuan feast which consisted of 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, peameal bacon, potatoes(I added cheese and caramelized onions for an additional cost), toast and a blueberry pancake (did not finish had to take leftovers to go). My fiancé ordered the jo construction which was 3 eggs bacon, sausage, potatoes(same as mine, what a copy cat, I know.. lol ) and toast. both our meals came with some refreshing fruit on the side. I also ordered the half orange juice/half grapefruit juice which was surprisingly a good balance. the place was busy, but not crazy busy, there was no wait to get a seat and this was a Sunday Morning at around 10:00ish. Stopped here for breakfast on our way to Niagara. Service was friendly, food was OK. I liked that they seem to include some sort of fruit with all breakfast plates. (My omelette came with a slice of pineapple and a strawberry). They had the cutest sign by the door, something like: "Please allow us the pleasure of accompanying to your table"... you know, instead of the usual "Please wait to be seated"... I'll start off by saying I used to come Here frequency over the last 4 years. I came back today after a while and it's just not the same as previous experiences. The food was mediocre at best. The only thing I'm my plate with flavour were the fruit and tomato slices. Everything else was bland/salty. Even the "butter" I'm the toast was just like liquid grease-salt. The eggs were hot but the bacon and sausage were lukewarm. I ate one of each and left the rest. Sadly I could not finish the meal. The lady who served me was nice but a bit floaty and not really checking back. As a side note I don't know if it's a new management but they seem to have done a clean sweep of staff. I did not recognize a single person. Anyway honestly 2 is too much. But I would feel really mean leaving a 1 for any business unless they have done something gruesome. read more

Service was terrible. Took 15 minutes and 3 requests to get water. The kitchen got my order wrong... After waiting 25 minutes for an omelette. Food was fine, even though I didn't get to choose my order, but definitely nothing special. Definitely not worth the $43 (before tip) for 2 very basic breakfasts. Interestingly the table beside us had a wrong order from the kitchen as well. Wait staff was essentially invisible and hard to find, even ignoring polite requests for assistance. Bottom line, just go somewhere else, there is plenty of competition in this space and almost all of them do it better than this place at equal or better prices. read more

We tried the take out option during Covid-19 shutdown. Food was well packaged and just as good as when we attend in person with same portion sizes (found this to be an issue with some other restaurants). We got 2 eggs benny. I'll never understand how hard it is to just do the basics right, I am not a fussy man nor a particularly cultured one but my gosh there's a dearth of decent eating establishments (see my recent reviews). Just had Lunch here so here's the rundown; - Place is half empty, nice server but no lunch menus so i go fetch them myself as the server had vanishesd - Took the server 20 minutes to take our order - Food took a SOLID half an hour to arrive, I mean really we ordered two basic sandwiches and a coke - One plate received salad instead of potatoes, other plate got the salad that was ordered but the plate was clearly sitting under a warmer for a LONG time and the salad was wilted and hot - Sandwiches were quite good, hence the two stars - Server took forever to come back and bill us - We sit there for another 15 minutes waiting and it's finally noted that we have to pay at the cash on the way out not at the table - Cue massive line up at the cash Madness. It's two sandwiches and two cokes at a reasonably quiet time, how hard can it be? read more

Utterly amazed to be presented with a bill for $15 for a bacon and egg sandwich!! $15!!!!! For 3 slices of bacon and a couple of eggs !!! There was no bacon and egg sandwich on the menu ( very weird for a breakfast joint for a start) so I ordered afore mentioned sandwich. It was my family and one other customer in the restaurant and we were seated for 10 min before our drink order. 25 min later we still did not have our drinks. My wife and I came here twice for breakfast during our trip to Toronto and we really enjoyed it. The food was a hundred times better than the free breakfast being offered at our hotel . I've never seen a restaurant serve so much fresh fruit before. Both times we went the staff was great but I wouldn't come here if you are in a big rush. Came here for a business breakfast, so hence, the no-photos thing. However, I must say that the photos on the menu are exactly representative of what was presented. Ordered a smoked salmon eggs benny (2 eggs) and the portions were larger than I expected. Then again, it was about $14, so portion was inline with pricing. Price for 2 X Eggs Benny + an OJ + a coffee was just under $40. Also ordered orange juice and a coffee, but no one came around to refill coffee, so I'm not sure if it was bottomless or not. Usually, free refills for coffee is the standard for these all-day breakfast places, so you may want to check that on the menu. Service was prompt and friendly! Location seemed very quiet. From the outside, I almost questioned whether or not this place was still in operation. Wouldn't be opposed to going back, but not anticipating my next visit either. read more

Haven't been to this location in a while but nothing much has changed. All Cora restaurants keep the same quality and service to all their locations. The fruit is a hit and miss at times due to ripeness. The service is just slightly above par. I'm always coming back for the eggs benedict with mushroom and brie. Today is my daughter's 13th birthday and we bought four of her friends out for breakfast after a sleepover last night. The waitress noticed the "birthday girl" pin that my daughter was wearing and brought her a special birthday smoothie, complete with a carved apple in the shape of a bird...without my even having to ask. My favourite breakfast place in Mississauga! I really like Cora's Breakfast. This is one of the first breakfast places that I went to where you get served a mountain of fresh fruit with just about anything you order on the menu. I recommend the Eggs Ben et Dictine and the Crêpomelette, but everything's good that I've tried on the menu. I have never eaten lunch here, I always get the breakfasts. About my only complaint about Cora's is that it isn't open later! I guess the prices could be a wee bit lower, but you get what you pay for. read more

Not a big fan of chains but this Cora's is definitely an exception. Tried a few around the GTA and have to say best experience by far...friendly staff, yummy food and very accommodating. Never been disappointed with my visits here. The menu is standard for all Cora's but the food at this location is always tastier. Plus, love the add-on options...like fried onions with the home fries which was first suggested by a server here. The Etobicoke location had an issue with providing a booth (though there were many empty), stating they were for larger parties...never an issue here though. The only -ve is the long line at times...but it's worth the wait. read more

I had a terrible experience. My friend and I were sat with Cynthia who is a blonde older lady and she was quite rude to us. We are two millennials but we aren't cheap and enjoy eating at diners. Firstly our food was very slow although it was not peak time, it was 1 pm. When it arrived my order was wrong but at that point I didn't want to eat anymore and gave my entree to my friend. Cynthia never checked on us afterwards, yet stood at the booth beside ours talking for the 10 mins we had our food, ignoring us and she had forgotten our toast so my friend couldn't finish his meal properly. If our ages or appearance were indicators of the level of respect we deserved, then I figure millennials should never go out to eat. Cynthia ruined my dining experience with my friend the day before I started university, I will never patronize Cora's again based on this outing. read more

My experience at Coras today doesn't even deserve one star. I was seated within 10 minutes and was told that it was very busy so it was going to take the kitchen about 15 minutes to prepare our food. I was OK with that but would've like to get my order in as quickly as possible. It took the waitress about 15 minutes to come to our table to take our order and to tell us that the kitchen is going to take 30 minutes to prepare our order. In the 45 minutes that we sat there waiting for our food before I called the waitress over nobody came to ask if we were OK or to refill our coffee's. When the food came the order was completely wrong. They ran out of fruit so I had two pieces of pineapple one dried up strawberry and some leafy piece of something on my plate where my colourful fruit would normally sit. The manager came over to apologize that they were short staffed. During this hour wait they continue to take people in even though they were short staffed and unable to serve people within the hour and had ran out of fruit which in my opinion is what we all expect of Cora's breakfast. Although this was my worst experience at this Coras so far unfortunately it was not my only bad experience at this Cora's. At least they knew enough to comp my meal but I will never be returning to this location again. read more
