Copyco is amazing! JJ and Anna are the nicest people. They constantly go out of their way to make sure that you are happy with your copies and that all of your needs are met. My husband comes here for all of his copies, and he makes over 1000 copies a week. JJ also helped him make his own business cards for a great price! Unlike other copy centers, this one is never overcrowded and always has a machine available. No waiting. Good Choice for basic copying services, 9 am to 7 pm weekdays and 9 to 5 pm Saturday. They have also 3-hole punch, paper cutter, and a small area of desk space for customer use. The price for self serve B&W is 5 cents per page (even if you are making 100 copies btw) + tax, so 5.45 cents per copy. There is a big banner sign right behind the register with prices. I don't think the price drops until you get into much bigger numbers. (Like 2 cents for 10,000 copies). Best to double check before you make a decision based on price. The owner will help you make sure that you get your double-sided etc set up correctly before you push go..fewer mistakes. They also did some business cards for us a few year ago and charged much less than Staples, etc. They made an error and re-did the cards with no charge. They have some oversize color printers and I always see posters and artwork being done there, but have never used that. read more

Where to begin? I love Copy Co! Their prices are so great. I took a data analysis class at CSULB and had to make about 100, 4 page surveys. Their price was a third of the price of staples. I go to school in LA so whenever a new semester comes around instead of driving there (from Long Beach) I go here to fax, print or copy documents from my parents instead of going to Kinko's and spending WAY TOO MUCH....this place is SUPPER cheap! Recently I used their computer to print 7 pages from my email, then sent them (with a cover letter) to my school (in LA) and it only was around $6.00!!!!!! I also purchased this cool pen with 5 different ink sizes and colors, I love it and it was only $2.99. Sometimes I don't feel like setting up my printer (yes it is that serious). And even more often I don't feel like stopping at Target for more ink, then setting up my printer. Exceptional service. I initially went to FedEx Office on 7th street to get 2 posters printed quickly. I arrived at the FedEx and I was pretty much the only one who needed help. The lady did inform me that it might take a while and large prints typically need to be ordered 24hrs in advance. She said she would try to print them for me but she would have to assist others customers if they came (she was the only one working). All of a sudden, all these last minute shippers started coming in and she completely put me on the back burner. I became so impatient and annoyed as I was in a time crunch and she just left me there. After wasting 30 minutes of my time I left and Yelped and found Copyco. I first called and asked how long it would take. They were closing in an hour. The man (he seemed like the owner) said it wouldn't take long and he would do it for me. When I walked in it seemed there were about 3-4 customers who needed his (he was also the only one working) attention but he was amazingly able to help out all of us. He printed my posters quickly and even gave me a discount and cut the posters for me at no extra charge. All of the customers seemed to really appreciate and respect him. I was so incredibly appreciative of his patience and service despite my time crunch. I highly reccommend this place for their dedication to their customers. Not only that, but the customers themselves were so kind as well. The experience between Fed Ex Office and Copyco are at different ends of the spectrum and I truly appreciate Copyco and will advocate for their business any day! read more

Printed out all of my coursework that was supposed to be provided by my military unit, but we all know how that goes (didn't happen Captain) But because I needed this material for my promotion it would benefit me to take the initiative to print out all FIVE VOLUMES of upgrade training. That's correct ladies and gents, and for those who don't quite know what that entails, each volume is at least 285 pages. In total it was about 1,142 pages with binding and because the last volume was 365 pages we had to split it. So 6 volumes with binding, luckily I was given a very very reasonable discount due to being a student it came out to around $140! Which is a total bargain. Couldn't be happier. Another great place for affordable copies. This one is in the Long Beach area. I found this place through the yelp-vine and have since gone three times. The owners are patient, helpful and SO sweet! I am pretty self-sufficient in a copy center for my purposes. Still yet, the owners checked on me often to make sure I was ok and my copy projects were coming out to my liking. They offered their help everytime and are very very sweet. The lady-owner offered some great efficiency tips on the fastest way to use their machines and taped down borders to help me cut down my time spent and improve the quality of my copies. Very thoughtful, customer caring service like theirs is a pretty priceless and rare thing these days. About communicating with them, in reference to one of the less happy reviews.....I grew up in California so I don't find that the language barrier is too bad because I strive to understand all accents if they are making the effort to speak English. In my experiences they are fluent English speakers and very accommodating to their customers so I would definately give them a chance to work on my major printing projects come that time. I'd maybe make more of my own effort to confirm they understood what I want from them. Though I have not had major print work done by them, given a choice between a "ma and pa" establishment and the great corporate Kinko's/Fed Ex, it's more important to me to support the "ma and pa." JJ, the owner, is a great person and a true pro. I always take in my orders to him and him and his wife do a superb job every time. Efficient, low cost, friendly, attentive, I will only go to copyco. Walked in with a USB drive about about 5000 pages to print. I got the sense that they would have preferred I call ahead with such a high-volume job, but they were still helpful throughout the process. JJ set me up with a dedicated printer, and coached me through a few different paper binding options. I walked out with a couple of sets in spiral binding and the others hole-punched and ready for a 3-ring binder. The customer service and prices were wonderful. I have been to Copyco twice in the past week and have not been disappointed. I first contacted them to see if I could just print a file using a thumb drive. They said it wasn't a problem and it turned out to be much more convenient than I imagined. I plugged my drive into a computer and had my multiple sets of 70+ pages within minutes. Their customer service really is stellar. Each time I went, there was no waiting and cost-wise, it's definitely a better deal that FedEx Office, by far. Would not recommend. Will never come here again!!! When I arrived the man at the counter helped me, I selected the paper I wanted and quoted me a price of $.58 per color print. At some point a woman comes in and was rude. I am guessing she was the owner. Well... I finish my prints and when she rings me up... suddenly the price was now $1.58 per page. I told her no way and what I was quoted. She did not care. I reluctantly paid $1.29 per page. What a scam!!! I will never come here again... as a matter of fact, I just had 200 color prints run somewhere else for less than I paid here... same paper and the new place even cut them for me no charge. This place is the worst. Do yourself a favor and go to anyplace but here. read more

SECOND VISIT- AWFUL Came here on 11/21/16. I was able to send a PDF of cupcake toppers (round images to cut out and put on cupcakes). I told Albert over the phone and via email that they are to be made to go on top of an cupcake. I also said I'm sending him a file I received from the person who made it for me on Etsy. I've done this before here with invitations. They were about 3.5" big, huge, bigger than a cupcake!! Anna could see I wasn't pleased but I purchased it anyway because I was on a time constraint. She then asked how big I would need it. I said "it needs to go on a cupcake, not a cake. We measure it smaller and she makes a quick copy on the copy machine. It was perfect! Then she wanted to charge me for it plus the other ones I already paid for but can't use. I disagreed and they argued with me saying it was my fault and that I'd have to pay for the right kind. He never asked for measurements or anything yet I told him to make it small enough to go on a cupcake. When I brought this up at the store he says "how am I supposed to know the size of a cupcake?" Which I responded, "you could've asked me over the phone rather than making whatever and charging me for it plus charging me again to fix it." At this point he was yelling at me from his computer and continued to yell at me as he walked closer to the counter. I had to ask him to stop yelling at me, twice. Then Anna says to talk to her and not him. So I did, she kept saying , it's thanksgiving so I'm gonna remake this and not charge you even though it's your fault." My response was I will pay for what I take, I'm not going to pay for the error he made." It went back and forth and she slammed her hands on the counter and said "I give you your money back and you will go somewhere else." I then said "yes, I'd rather go somewhere else where they ask the customer questions about what they want for their product and not scream at me." She refunded me and I left. I went to staples. - Super unprofessional with yelling at me - arguing telling me it's my fault multiple times - didn't ask me for sizes - didn't correct their error - wanted to charge me twice and kept telling me I'm wrong I will never return here nor recommend them to anyone. Kinkos/FedEx will work just fine for me FIRST VISIT- Fantastic Got a quote from a few copy places around Long Beach and Lakewood. jay was the fastest. He printed what I wanted the same day within 2 hours of me requesting. He also sent me a text message of a sample of what my order would look like, all I had to do was email him the file. Other places quoted more money and 3-4 days. I normally do not right a review of a business, however the fantastic, professional service that I received with CopyCo in Long beach deserves my five star rating. As a media and advertising professional I have used many local and national franchise printing fast copy centers, namely Kinkos or Staples. It has always been frustrating using these often crowded and over priced copy centers with very little assurance that the quality would be taken seriously. All that changed when I called Copyco. After speaking to JJ the owner of CopyCo, not only did he quote me a price on my oversized color posters at a 50% cheaper price that I would pay at a Kinkos, He also took the time on my first call to understand what I needed by providing me some options to my order. When I arrived not only did JJ have my order from the files that were received on my email, he quickly took my disc and printed out the remainder. The quality was the best I have received in digital printing. Before I was off the phone call I was given an email to email my files so they can start the order and be ready when I arrived at the store. This is what I call fantastic 5 star customer service! It was amazing to find a business who would start an order without any request for a credit card or payment. How many business do you know who put trust in the customer these days? After I emailed my files I even received a call back letting me know one of my files was corrupted but was assured that my order would be completed when I arrived if chose to bring my disk with me. I also saw they had a larger format plotter digital color press on site and was impressed that the prices for large movie style posters were half the price I have found anywhere nationwide. With instant turnaround and a owner that took my order with loving care, who even took each of my 50 posters and hand cut them to make my final print look fantastic gets five stars! If you need color printing, copies with pro quality, CopyCo is the best quality with prices cheaper I have found anywhere online or onsite. I am happy I live so close. During my time at this store I understood what makes this place so right on. Several customers came in and were greeted as though they were family. With hellos and wishes for a new year and "how was your Holiday", I was reminded how small business like CopyCo are the foundation of how to run a successful business where it's values are the Value, Quality and Warm customer service they deliver to each and everyone of their customers and new ones. I don't like making copies myself. I was never good at it at Staples, and now that they make you use a credit card so you pay for each mistake, I come to CopyCo. They will figure out how to coalate, single side , which corner to align your original in, whatever. They have pretty colors for paper. You tell them what you want, and they make it. Yay. Staples at the traffic circle never seemed to have paper in the machines, or it was jammed, and the clerks were too busy with other work to help. CopyCo gives good service at a low price. So I am glad that I discovered this place one day while I was driving home from Trader Joe! read more

BAD Service... Not the best quality paper and printing/copying quality.. and this wasn't a problem. I came here before... And today, I had the service that won't let me come back... The lady suggested I unwind the spiral from the content to make the copying easier. she said I had to do it myself, and kept going: since it's only 5 cents/copy, you have to do the work.. and this was no problem... I had to unwinded the spiral, made my copies.... when I was done, and asked the lady if she would help me put the spiral back, she went on again, no, you have to do it yourself,.... I went to the register to pay her husband. He suggested to help me with the spiral, and she jumped into the conversation to stop him from doing it!! I was in shock... I even suggested he does the first steps, and I can finish it, so I don't take much of his time... but she went on and on about the 5 cents, you have to do all the work... There was no respect to me or the other customers in the shop at that moment. I paid my fees, the man started putting the spiral in for me, I stepped aside to finish putting the spiral back... he offered me an envelop for my copies, and the wife jumps in again and said no, and she just kept nagging in her language/English, of course I knew she was talking about me... She also wouldn't let him twist the spiral ends to they don't come off... I clearly told her that I won't come back to her place. If you can't sell customer service, there is no need to come to work.. I am not coming to a place to be yelled at.. there are ways to make money, but there is no need to maltreat your customers... she literally told me NOT TO COME BACK AGAIN... which will never do again.. I feel stupid I even paid and took the copies, I should have let the whole thing and walked out at the start. I still thanked the man (husband) for his good service and nice work, he tried toning things down, but she kept firing it up!! it is just sad... read more

Every time I come here to copy, fax or anything, I'm always reminded why I keep coming back. Service is great! Cheep too. This place is a no frills copy place that can do nearly everything you might expect at FedEx/Kinkos. The owners are a husband and wife team ( at least I think they are ) and they always serve happily and with a smile. The price is on point and always executed very quickly. I've been coming to this place for all my printing needs and they are just so wonderful! I'm a graphic designer and a mom so have lots of flyers, invitations and party supplies to print out and so glad to be able to support their business this way! I HATE Kinkos on Palos Verdes, had such a bad experience there and never gone back. Having been in the print and advertising business for over 10 years, I look for specific printers for specific things. After my desktop printer died on me and I had a time-sensitive project, I called a couple of printers for quotes. Copyco quoted me $36 for a job that another printer quoted me $100 for. I was quickly greeted by JJ. He was friendly, helpful, quick and stuck to his pricing once I was in the door. It was a K/0 small run project on my own paper stock. He ran a quick test run and then called me 30 minutes later when the job was ready. Anna was super friendly and held the door open for me when I left. Friendly, quick and 60% less than the other guys. Tip: If you're on a Mac, save your files as pdf's as they are PC based. You probably already knew this, but I neglected to do it and had to make a second trip. I can't speak to their trimming or binding. I didn't see much of a paper selection so you may want to ask or bring your own if you want anything other than basic. read more

This was my first time printing somewhere other than Costco, seeing as I needed to use special paper to print out stickers. The quality of the prints were great! The color on my stickers are so vibrant and the blacks are bold. I love it. While there were complications with my order, the owners were super sweet about it! THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED!! The guy "JJ" gave me a quote over the phone, and everything was explained in detail. When he received the files, he bumped up the quote by $250!!!!!!! Then he continues to argue with me several different times over the phone!!!! ARGUE with me!!! Who does that?????? How they stay in business I have NO CLUE!!! I have been in the Design industry well over 12 years and NEVER met anyone like this!! I hope he becomes a nicer person, once he reads this review!!
