The quality of the book was fine, nothing fancy but they had extremely poor & upsetting customer service!! I am a student at CSULB which is very local to Copyco & purchased a book from them that was required for a class. The next week, I came in to return it (as I dropped the class) and the man working DID NOT EVEN LOOK ME IN THE FACE while he told me that I can't return it or exchange it. The book was in absolute perfect condition and I had the receipt as well. I asked him several questions about returns and he just kept saying "no" or "you can't" with his head down working. They did not say they had a "no return" policy when I purchased it, nor did the receipt. I explained this to him & he continued to do his work and tell me "no". SO UNBELIEVABLY RUDE read more

I came here to print large posters, and I read great reviews so I thought I could save money and use their service. - first, the prices are not cheap, I paid more here than I would have if I just would've went to Costco. - second, the final prints had scuff marks on them. He said he couldn't do anything about it and didn't even offer to discount the price. - lastly, he was nice to every guy who came in, but didn't offer the same customer service to me. Pick somewhere else to get passport photos. We went in today to get my 10 year old's pictures to renew his passport. The man (I assume owner) took the picture and handed it to me, ringing me up at the register. I said "Oh these won't work...there's a shadow behind my son". He argued that he had taken 4 photos that morning. I indicated that may be so but that this picture will not work; you cannot have a shadow for a passport picture. Not to mention my son was not even looking at the camera. There was no one else in the business. As he is continuing to argue with me, two other customers arrived and he told me he would not retake the picture and told us to leave. read more

A friend of mine recommended this place to me and I am so glad! I needed to make some colored flyers for an event my daughter's school is having next month...and we are on a tight budget. I went in there anticipating a price already according to what I needed done. Well....it turned out the paper I planned on using... ended up being card stock! (I didn't realize when I grabbed it prior to coming in) It now was going to cost me double then what I had in mind. Long story short... The owner could see the worry in my face and offered several options for me in order to get me a price I was comfortable with. They also fixed my PDF to fit correctly on to the 8x11 sheet! I wan looking for a place to print my wedding invitations on a Saturday. I found Copyco on Yelp so I gave them a try. Pros: Open on Saturdays, really nice people, color prints are cheaper than the big box stores, flexible with hours. Cons: Their machines couldn't handle my cardstock, only one guy there so I had to wait forever, the printer didn't print my image right (color was way off). After waiting patiently for about an hour and a half he was only able to print a few pages since the paper kept jamming. I took my print job somewhere else (I had to wait until Monday) where they had better machines that could take my cardstock with no problem and the color came out far better than at Copyco. Bottom line: this place is probably great for other projects, but they just couldn't get my job done. read more

Wow, I am SO glad I accidentally found this place! Our first stop for my daughter's project was Fed Ex Kinko's by CSULB. UGH! Don't get me wrong, the employees were nice, but not competent. We needed many pages blown up and then copied on to colored card stock. Apparently, this was a complicated order. First, I was given a book and told the only colors they had were marked with a "T" So I carefully chose my colors from that. Then I was told, "Oh, we only have ivory." Why did I just look through a book picking colors? SIgh. Ok, fine, we will go with ivory. I explained that we needed to blow up half the page. He said he could only do that if he scanned it first, and then cropped it. WHAT? You can't just lay that half on the copier and choose enlarge? I enlarge on the copier ALL THE TIME, but of course they won't let customers touch the big expensive card stock copiers, so I was out of luck. He told me I could try Staples. Grrrr On our way to Staples, we saw Copyco, over by Hof's Hut and See's, and decided to give it a try. What did we have to lose, at this point? I immediately knew this was the best place I could be. The man behind the counter listened while I explained everything, and then told me to go choose my paper. They had every color imaginable! He worked on it diligently, and guess what? He enlarged directly on the copier - no scanning involved. As we were checking out, I told him our story about Kinko's and he said something about how they are way more expensive than Copyco. I had no idea I would be saving money, too! The Kinko's paper was 39 cents each and Copyco charged me 20. Score! read more

Decent place to get stuff copied and printed. There is a slight language barrier that can be a pain. Like, I called ahead to see if I could print directly from my computer and they said YES. Then when I came in 20 mins later, they said NO, so I had to format all my files to put on my thumb drive and have them print each of them individually. And they printed some of my pages wrong and they made me pay for them anyway. Kinkos doesn't. I emailed them a file to print large scale and gave them specific instructions for them and although they followed most of the instructions, they didn't collate my pages for me and it was just a little frustrating. Overall, I will go here again for basic stuff, but they make me really, really feel the need to buy my own copier/printer/plotter. read more

This is my first post after using yelp for many years. I actually visited this store and met its owner, JJ, eight days ago and the thought of showing my gratitude has been on my mind. I was in a rush to complete a project at FedEx where I had called earlier to do some large transparency prints and when I got there they had ran out. No one offered to contact another FedEx store who might have the product or offered other suggestions. I did a quick search online and found CopyCo. INCREDIBLE! Pros: Price, customer service, and services. Cons: The venue is much too small. Service Experience: This place is literally a hole in the wall but the owners are just so cute and friendly. Always attentive and I come here for their large format prints. I always do 24x36" matte finish color prints here because they're just so cheap compared to Kinkos or staples. I paid from $17-$25. This is my go-to place for all printing and recently I've been having a lot of material to print. My last project was an urgent promotional poster, 36 by 24 in size, on a foam board, plus 500 bookmarks! Mr. Kwon, the owner of the shop, provided a super fast service - made sure that I had my materials ready on time for the event. The labor that goes into cutting those bookmarks, laminating etc is huge, not to mention the time put into it. But I had everything in my hands within 2 days. This place has waayy awesomer prices compared to that of major chain copy centers. I sometimes have to get copies or pick of course material from here for school. They have excellent service. I don't think there was a single time when I wasn't greeted upon entering this place. The lady always says "Hello! How are you?!" and she greets every customer that enters. They help you with everything you need and stuff. And when you leave the lady says "Thank you. See you next time!" or something along those lines. I mean, with this kind of service AND cheaper prices, why would you choose a major chain over Copyco? (...unless you're copying stuff really late at night or something) read more

I had an issue with my order this week and they fixed it without any questions. The couple who own this place were very helpful in assisting me and meeting my needs at an affordable rate.
