Stopped by for dinner recently since we realized we haven't been in a while and disappointed is an understatement. They weren't busy. There were no lines in drive thru. We did place a $40 order but nothing complicated. Just a few meals. They didn't take too long but the drive thru ladies were so rude and made it obvious they did not want to be there. No hello, no thank yous, have a good day. Nothing. They literally didn't even acknowledge us except to take payment with a stank face. Handed us our food and close the window.. like sheesh. Vibe killer. Didn't get any better as we got home and realized they got one of the orders wrong and we were actually missing an item. Ordered my food and got it within 3 minutes of ordering. Got home after 7 mins and realized they didn't give me my chicken nuggets or Cajun fries, so I drove back another 7 minutes to get them. When I got there they made sure I had my receipt, which is understandable. Then once they said they would give me my Cajun fries and nuggets, I waited for 10 minutes for just those two items and by the time I got them, my other food I had was cold. Now I'm at home with my SO heating up food that should've been warm at least. All they said was sorry and have a nice day. With all the waiting I had to do, I would've thought they'd offer me extra Cajun fries or nuggets at least. They didn't even fill up my SMALL Cajun fries that they missed the first time. I came and requested a small cheeseburger and a regular cheeseburger tray. This is what i received for the small burger and once i went to the window they tried to convince me it was okay might i add it is also missing the cheese i requested. Cookout really has the best deal in town! Very inexpensive for the price you pay. Con is that you get only 4 onion rings or 3 chicken nuggets for a side. I wouldn't recommend those as side options but rather just get the full appetizer. I good option as a side item would be fries cheese balls like zaxbys. Quesadillas are good and you have to try the cookout special sauce. So addictive! Another con is the dining room. I see some tables are super wobbly, some tables have 2 chairs, some tables have 3, and some tables have 4, lol I don't get it. But it doesn't really matter just weird lol. I worked at this location off and on for 2 years (when it first opened), and I know that this is unacceptable. You don't even HAVE to work there to know this isn't acceptable. On top of this, they told us that they ran out of the foil that they wrap the burgers in, and instead of the manager on duty going to buy some, they just put unwrapped food inside the tray. That is unsanitary, and just overall disgusting. This Cook Out hasn't been the same in the past 2 years. It just shows the lack of care from everyone in the building. read more

The food I ate here was absolutely disgusting. The food was cold , the fries weren't even evenly seasoned. It was like half the fries got extra seasoning and the other half had no seasoning. The bread wasn't even toasted . The meat tasted old. I had a double beef burger , cajun fries , and chicken wrap. Everything was cold and nasty. The beef didn't even reach the size of the buns , and they got my order wrong because they didn't add tomatoes and remove mustard. The customer service was good , but not worth a 2 stars from this visit. EDIT : I came back to this place one more time during peak hours , and ordered the chicken and the food turned out decent. I guess they changed something up. I wouldn't order a burger from here , but the cajun chicken is fine. I would recommend going here , but if you see the line is empty then you might not want to go. read more

As a former employee of this very restaurant, there is a lot I need to get off my chest for it, because I couldn't say it on duty. To the customers, to the other employees, the the managers especially. These customers are usually the ones who come in and order about twenty different things. They get mad because their food comes out last. The employees get yelled at for that kind of thing, but oh, of course;"they get paid to clean it, no biggie." *eye roll* Another thing y'all clearly don't understand how to read. "What are cook out rounds?" READ!!!! It literally says what they are RIGHT NEXT TO IT. LITERALLY. Also, it drove me nuts when a customer would argue with me that I over charged them for milkshakes on the cook out tray. No. It says:"For a dollar MORE add a milkshake." Which means, a dollar more than what a drink cost, and let me break down the drinks for you too. There's small, large, and huge. Do not argue that you paid for a large cup and we gave you a large cup. The one you think is 'medium' is large. Small drinks are $.99. Large drinks are $1.99. Huge drinks are $1.99. Milkshakes are $2.99. You do not get charged extra for changing to a shake. It's correct how it comes on the ticket. You add a dollar, not pay a dollar for it. If I was honestly that bad of a worker, he wouldn't of had me work 12p.m.-12a.m. For six days straight. Nobody helped me cleaned lobby most of the time. I had to juggle a lobby full or orders and cleaning it BY MYSELF more times than I can count. By the time someone was actually out there helping me, everything was done. The only time I've seen one of you or the other employees work lobby, is when I was on break. But, where were y'all when I actually needed you? No where. You would all run to the back so you wouldn't have to deal with the customers. That's pathetic. We were all supposed to work as a team, and we didn't. The managers all showed favoritism towards certain employees and it was disgusting. Also, the gm is a pimp? Do you know what a pimp actually is? Say that in front of a cop, I dare you. Stopped in for a quick bite yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. My wife and I had burgers, fries and slaw. She had a soft drink while I had a 'Hershey Chocolate shake.' We also shared a corn dog. The quarter pound burgers were tasty, the fries were hot and the slaw somewhat sweet. The corn dog was good. Overall a very good meal for two for under $13 and everyone was very friendly. Plenty of free parking at the door. We will eat here again. read more

One thing that I have come to appreciate about cook out is that no matter where I am they are fast, nice and my order comes out correct. For some reason this location missed the mark on the 2 occasions that I came for lunch. My food seemed "thrown" together and one of the times my order was incorrect. went to cook out last night on the way home after a very late night at work I didnt realize they closed at 2,it was 1:45 when i pulled in an ordered,, i have only been there that late on the weekend, but every one was very professional and polite even though it was almost closing time. I just went through the drive through here at Cookout. The service was great! The food is HOT and fresh! And as always, their milkshakes are the best! Went here around 11ish last night on my way to Athens for business from Atlanta. The food was actually really good for a relatively slow place. It was all hot and well presented but i appreciated the staff the most, doing multiple tasks while taking orders, making milkshakes, and rushing back to what im guessing was the kitchen as i watched through the window. The young man with glasses and the big bald guy were very pleasant and friendly as well. Only complaint is 3 chicken nuggets is hardly a side... good job though! read more
