What a great spot! It's small and in the heart of the town center in Jefferson. Our waiter was very attentive despite us sitting outside so don't worry about being forgotten. The pimento wontons are so good, they came out crispy, had a wonderful cheese filling and the sweet chili sauce is amazing. The Fourth of July burger is a top choice as our waiter said, and I can attest. It's a little on the smaller side so don't expect to share it, but still a good choice! read more

The menu is wide and varied. The restaurant is laid back local spot . The service was adequate as our server was young and inexperienced. When asked about thousand islands dressing , she said they don't have it but they have balsamic which is basically the same thing. I did not use the teaching moment out of expediency and kindness to my Gen Z waitress. Ignorance is fixable, but will have to be adjusted by someone else. This is our regular spot in Jefferson. The management is always on top of things, making sure every guest is having a good experience. The bartenders know their regulars by name. Sean is our absolute favorite and he always remembers our conversations and details about our lives. It's so much more than just a little mom and pop place. Been there 4 times. Twice the service was good and friendly. The other 2 times the service was poor and food was so-so at best. The afternoon shift was by far the best. If busy = poor then I'm out. We typically always order Friends from Door Dash but since we were out we decided to dine in. It was a Saturday and a Georgia game Saturday. Unfortunately, they didn't have the channel the game was on this Saturday. :( Service was very nice and quick and the food was very good - but almost a little salty. My husband had the Buffalo chicken wrap and really enjoyed it. I had the Knickerbocker Tavern sandwich with tots and it was very good and full of flavor! Be careful though - this can get super salty with the meats and cheeses. The decor is funky and fun and our table had characters from the movie Cars (which the kids loved) They do have a full bar and TONS of TV's. This location is right off the main road in the square of downtown Jefferson. You will need to park in the parking lot of Diesel Donuts or in the back of the building. read more

Grabbed lunch here a few weeks ago with some colleagues. The food was okay - not terrible but not outstanding either. It's bar food. It's a good little spot in downtown Jefferson with a full bar. Probably a fun place to watch a ballgame on a Saturday. read more

I know since Covid the restaurant scene has changed but I want to throw out a positive on this review. The staff is young but they do a great job and to this place that's a thumbs up. The wings are good and the Philly is as well. Usually crowded so arrive early. Parking is tight. The ambiance is bar food and can be noisy. First impression -- this is a win for Jefferson. The vibe in here is electric, helped by the urban graffiti-covered wallls and open overhead ventilation system. The exposed metal rafter-on-wood ceiling curves up to match the pitch of the outer roof, adding to a unique aura which was missing from this building's previous tenant. It is obvious that Friends management are doing things differently from typical restaurant chains. They distribute their own brand of ketchup. The label says they do this so they can be more in control of the ingredients of food, and this makes good sense. I ordered the chopped steak. This meal, complete with with Texas toast and two sides, is a good value for $11.99. I am told that all steak comes out cooked medium well, unless the customer specifies differently. Mine came out cooked exactly medium well, but next time I will order it cooked medium. Other than that, it was pretty tasty. I look forward to my next visit to Friends! read more

First waitress handed us off to the next one and the only time we saw her or anyone else is when I had to get up and grab someone's attention. This popular chain has fed my family many times over the past couple of years. I can say that the food is great for bar food for sure, but feel as if it's overpriced as it is just fancy bar food. The sauce and chicken was fine but the noodles (main part of the meal) were half way cooked, some pieces were so hard my fork couldn't even go into them.
